What the hell was that offer in the first clip? 50% down to 0%.. Makes no sense at all, he builds the business for 5 years and then doesn't collect on the value. The business likely loses money for the first few years. Unless he thought the company could be sold within 5 years for a big profit.
It's a straightforward offer. He wanted 50% for 5 years and would then give the equity back. He figured he could make his money back and then some. So he would help build the business, make his money, then give the equity back. I think it was a good deal.
@@jakecooper5855 How so? You think you are smarter than him and he is too stupid to make his money back? He could have easily 10x his money put in maybe more.
I'm wondering if he knows something that we don't. Maybe a product like that will be a big fad for a few years and then fizzle out. If that's the case, he's a genius. Or, he just wanted to make a crazy offer.
The dragons in this Canadian version seem like they have the all clear to: candidly grill at entrepreneurs without any filters.
Dragons Den is as good as shark tank. Seriously.
Did you know that Dragon's Den was first? Then was copied.
@@jaynebutler3342 yes.. it was an original Canadian show. I love how Shark Tank is soulless without Kevin.
@@Pazolf1They all copied “Money Tiger”, the original Japanese show.
@@Nocturnalux wow. Good to know

I still don’t understand why he offered that 🤔

@@LunchMeatTrump Good deal for the pitcher no doubt. Horrible deal for the dragon.
