#1 - Nailed it. I got into the cabinets because the price and the premium look to the build. An all glass display unhindered visually from shelf to shelf? I’m in!
#2 - I could personally use a bit more depth, but the pricing pre-COVID was far too reasonable for me to complain.

Awesome video man. I also like the way Detolfs block out segments for more of a moment/scene feel. You can’t beat them.
Yeah price 🤑 and visibility 👀 are important factors for me. Like you I could really use a bit more shelf depth but I'm trying to keep the collection contained within a small-ish location so deeper cabinets won't really work unfortunately! And yes great point how the detolfs are nicely segmented, perfect for specific moments or to tell a visual story - you do this soo well in your displays 👊🏻

Great video and I love the difference of opinions and all displays options. It’s awesome seeing the good in detolfs when there is a lot of people moving away from them. Cheers mate!! Love your muscle rack displays, I definitely get space-envy when I see them! And the fact you have built them up yourself and lit them and wired in all the USB sabers etc is just fantastic! They still are a favorite in the community, once my collection got too big I had to let them go. But my favorite part was the visibility of your collectibles and price (well the original price back in the day lol). Thanks for sharing!
Yes the visibility and frameless look is important for my space👍🏻 But can see why you needed to change yours up due to the collection size, your space looks incredible now!!!🔥🔥👊🏻
I still love the all glass curio cabinets ,detolfs or otherwise. It gives the display more of a 'collection ', 'museum' vibe. Figures get their own space and attention. I like the figures to be on display more than recreating a scene. Keep the attention on the craftsmanship.
With that being said, space is an ever encroaching adversary and the large volume racks offer ease in that department. In the end, these choices and puzzles are part of the fun.
Yeah I do like the bigger displays for dioramas and vehicles etc - and thats a perfect description, it's a *fun puzzle* trying to fit hundreds of figures into the collection!! 😃 Thanks for checking out the video mate 👊🏻
You can’t go wrong with free! I can’t fault anyone who has a system they’re comfortable with, or wants to save money making a DIY shelf project. But I’m firmly in the Moducase ecosystem, for better or worse. Great choices on the examples of other collectors’ displays!
Yeah it’s all about what’s right for the space and the collection at the end of the day. Moducase is ideal if you have the space, would love them particularly to display the vehicles! Thanks for watching 👊🏻

I’m with you on the detolfs. Nice practical budget displays and look great when lit up. I’ve mostly collected threeA, MOTU and various Hot toys in the past. I have to say your videos have inspired me to start collecting SW again. Troopers at least. God help my wallet! Great vid by the way.

Fantastic video, some great channels there for sure and some of my personal favourites as well. I agree, there is no right or wrong way to display your collection, it very much subjective and space oriented. My preference is to have clear sight lines where possible and let the figures breath as it were and I do like backgrounds to set the scene and embellish the figure where possible. Really enjoyed your thoughts on these top notch collections, as always very much looking forward to more content on the channel 😀enjoy your long weekend and as always, mind how you go 👍

100% agreed on what your saying mate. Although now with those speeders and dew backs, thinking of other options as well.If possible, good to have options depending on the display item or the plan of the overall setup. Again, cant go wrong with Detolf. Awesome review as always . Cheers

Great video! I’m a huge fan of the one figure per shelf vibe (although space necessitates I don’t do this) so detolfs have always had a great look for me.
Also I got two of mine for free and the third one off FB market place for £35, so a very cheap display option for me haha

Whilst all those other collections are great and as individual as the owners, yous continually holds my top spot, clean, uncluttered, and clear site through all the glass - no bars or frames to clutter the view....
Sad news, an unfortunate bill cropped up and one of three HT's I have - the Jedi Stormtrooper Deluxe, has to go up for sale! Ah well...

Nice video!Detolfs are good for small displays but for my larger or more dynamic displays I've had custom cases made, I've still got my speeder bike display to do so another case will be needed 😁
Yeah dude, with my collection being predominately 1:6th scale figures detolfs are perfect for the space restrictions, but totally agree custom cases or moducase etc are needed to properly display vehicles and dynamic displays! I always wanted to get my speeder bike in proper cases but it just never happened (and now I've got too many 🤣) Really looking forward to seeing your speeder bike set up when you get chance to sort it!! 👊🏻

The Detolf replacement cases are great. Twice the storage capacity at half the price. I bought 1, but not built it yet. My display room is pretty small and I still need room to move around in my wheelchair.
Accessibility definitely important, I have to be sideways to get between the TV and the first detolf now to get in or out the room! 🤦🏻♂️😅 Congrats on getting the replacement cases, *twice* the storage capacity is awesome!!! 👊🏻
@@TK421Collectibles I noticed the gap between TV and detolf. Good job you're a skinny guy. Yeah, the replacement detolfs are essentially 2 detolfs built into a single unit. I thing double doors and no separation between both, so a double wide detolf (if it's the same one I have, so potentially even more than double capacity.
I stand corrected. The double width case is called a Milsbo. That's the one I have. That Blaladin?, is just a single width case. I reckon detolfs was discontinued is because IKEA doubled the price and people weren't buying them. My 1st one cost €50. My 2nd cost 100, and 40 delivery.

@@paulclancy4221 Yeah the Blaliden are similar to Detolf but smaller (you can probably get a max of 2 figures per shelf comfortably, no flight stands!). Yeah when I first got a detolf it was £45! Think by the time they were selling off the stock they'd tripled in price!
Did you noticed that the face color of figures turned to dark (black) as reason of Oxidation? Maybe next episode you can discuss about this😢

what are those small glass displays you have on top of the detolfs?
They are called Skuffen and are also from IKEA. They’re not glass unfortunately, just perspex but they are a nice cheap option (£20). There’s a video on the channel somewhere if you need a closer look. Cheers for watching 👊🏻

Hi bud, yes totally agree with you on the dedolf!!! They are brilliant for display. I still want more but its getting them even though market place with picking them up. You have done fantastic collection room with what room you have. I always love the clean look on display, but as you know I love my dioramas displays as well lol 😅

Watching football at moment, but then look at Fabsfigures later.
I love my Detolfs and still prefer the look of them over the Moducases everyone has jumped to. I love the "frameless" look of them, they just look like sleek museum displays. Meanwhile, the Moducases are cool, but they look like fancy aquariums to me. Plus I prefer the look of the glass, acrylic is just too reflective. Happy with Detolf over Moducase or Blalidens.
