I'm not sure how effective the signs are. In my experience at least, I wouldn't say Texas is known for its awesome lane discipline. Thanks for the comment.
honestly, I don't even think it's an enforcement problem. I think it's a driver education problem. From a young age, people need to be taught how to drive on a freeway with more rigor than they currently are.
I appreciate taking the trip on SH 130/SH 45, very familiar with this route since I used it a bit to get when I worked in Austin. Keep up the good work 👌
It looks like it's much busier than when I last drove this in 2015..back then, this road was pretty much 4/5 empty with plenty of open gaps in traffic to roam freely. Guess the locals and those passing through have caught onto the fact that it's convenient to pony up the toll to drive TX 130. With that being said, other than the interchanges, this is a pretty boring drive...much prefer I-35 (when traffic is flowing). Was still fun to watch this on a video though! Cheers.
yeah, i don't recall it being as busy when I drove it in 2015 either... and I don't think it was as busy when I drove it again in November, but I don't think on either of those occasions it was 5:00 on a friday either. thanks for the comment.
that's true. i didn't go south to San Antonio though after filming this. I did some stuff in Austin that evening and then followed US-290 to Houston where I stayed the night.

I love the "Left Lane for passing only" signs. Every freeway in the US needs these!!! And also, that needs to be enforced.

@@AsphaltPlanet1 Yeah, enforcement is really key when it comes to stuff like this.

@@AsphaltPlanet1 totally agree. I was never taught anything about lane discipline in my driver's ed class when I was practicing freeway driving.
me neither.
I can tell ya! The speed on the freeway is at an astounding 85 MPH!

Quite the interesting road, there was more traffic than I would’ve expected. I guess everyone wants to go fast!
yeah, i was pretty annoyed with the traffic congestion to be honest.
Texas have the best controlled access highway designs ever seen. As for the control, it's fine. Just like this route your taking.

Pretty busy traffic. The first section of SH 130 opened only 12-13 years ago.
When you talked about it being 5 pm on a friday while filming, it was 5:01 pm on a friday...btw great video, keep up the great work!
0:22 OOOFF Bus Driver would've give you both penality points for that.
i thought it was going to be an option lane.
I assume this is tolled like ON-407 in Ontario, right?
similarly... though you don't have to sign any mortage papers to drive SH-130.
You Mean Highway 407 ETR Near Toronto?

How much did this trip set you back, BTW?
Honestly I’m not sure. I did it in a rental car and I drove a bunch of toll roads and never got an itemized bill
It looks like you are doing well over 80 MPH...
Speed limit is just a suggestion in Texas

I Thought you were gonna Drive on the TX-130 85mph Section : (
130 goes to 10 so you could bypass 35 entirely

Great highway, honestly. Keep it up!

I’d flat out my car on this road.
I like the funny name. Pickle parkway.
People driving fast to keep away from the aggressive pickles!
Funny nickname for a tollway
Awsome
