President George Bush Turnpike - Dallas Texas - 2018/11/13

Drivelapse video of the President George Bush Turnpike through Dallas, Texas. The video starts from the Southwestern Parkway (TX-183) and then heads beneath the Chisholm Trail Parkway and joins Interstate 20 before heading easterly to the President George Bush Turnpike Interchange and following that in a clockwise direction around Dallas.

Dallas is a really great city to drive through. Outside of the cities in California, it's probably my favourite US city to do a road tour in.

The President George Bush Turnpike or PGBT for short is a tolled partial beltway around Dallas serving the western and northern suburbs of Dallas. It's one of the two controlled access partial beltways around Dallas while the other is I-635 TX.

Unless you want to count loop 12 but loop 12 isn’t controlled access.

@@Tatura., TX Loop 12 is considered an arterial, except the western part is controlled access.
Edit: Plus, TX Loop 12 is a complete beltway around Dallas.

@@CrystalClearWith8BE Yes, that is true because if you’re going to 35E North from 183 for instance you go on the controlled access part for a little bit. And yes, it is a complete beltway unlike bush or 635 that only go partially around Dallas county.

Great drive! Do you know Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be 8 lane-expressway at 1,350 kilometers in India? It is under construction and it will open by March 2023 subject to change. This will reduce travel time from 24 hours to 12 hours.

I think texas has a better freeway system even better design than Québec. Montreal has the most potholes freeway ever.

I would generally agree, though Dallas is also generally just far more auto centric than any city in Quebec is.

Road trip request: I-20 on the south of Fort Worth & Dallas

That turnpike is named after the 41st president of the US aka George H.W. Bush and you clinched all of it and that was 17 days before he passed away at age 94.
Edit: Also, crossing Lake Ray Hubbard via northeastbound I-30/US 67 is a great way to end the video.
