Bibles and knives: How are they similar?

lets talk about two of my favorite things knives and bibles. How are they similar? If you are new to the world of bible comparison or ne to knife comparison this is an interesting conversation.

This video really caught my eye. I used to have $100+ knives, but a $40-50 bible. Last year I finally got a premium bible and love it.

The big difference is that you believe it's the word of God, and if there's any truth to that -Even if you genuinely believe it and you're wrong- such a text should be venerated. I think there's an obligation to do so. Look how Muslims react when a Quran is burned for example, any text with that power should be treated as respectfully as possible. The human body is similar, desecrating the corpse of an enemy soldier is a war crime even though it doesn't further harm the person who has already passed. Some objects demand reverence, are sacred. Paperback bibles bother me for this reason. It's not just another object. As a pastor, would you say that looking at physical bibles this way is idolatry?

Are you asking if I believe looking at bibles as something to have respect for and to be taken care of is a problem?
