I had a choice between the rm850x 2018 model or the rm850 2021 model and chose the rm850. Did you like the performance better? was it more silent? did you have any issues? sorry for all the questions but you were the only one who has compared these 2 models and we are kinda on the same boat lol

@@blakejeffrey Thank you for that reply! I should be getting my 3080 tomorrow so I can give you an update if I hear any weird noises! You also made me feel better buying the 2021 instead of the 2018. Everyone seems to love the 2018 and it made me feel buyer's remorse

@@blakejeffrey So no noise came from the RM850 after using the 3080 on full load. So I recommend it completely! However that 3080 and 12th gen i7 is hot lol so the fans are the ones that produce all the noise in my build

Thank you. Was considering returning the Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850w Snow edition and get this one as the cables on the Thermaltake are thick as concrete. How are the cables on the corsair? Both have 10 year waranty and both are in A tier list. What advice would you recommend?

HELP. is it possible to connect the Corsair RM850 2021 PSU, using the Corsair PCIe 5.0 600 W cable/Gen 5 12VHPWR PSU cable (Suitable for PCU Type-4) to a rtx 4080?

The X has better parts basically, that being said the non X is still great and is usually cheaper so go with the non X unless the price is similar
