A thing you can do with your crusts 1. Make/Buy some garlic butter 2. Spread them on those strips of crusts 3. Bake till slightly golden (shouldn't take long) and serve Simple yet amazing crispy garlic sticks. Great as a snack, dunk in soup, or substitute as chips!
I tried the panzanella salad today, and it was delicious! I made it with green peppers, lightly fried some courgettes in olive oil, and toasted some slices of brown bread. Tossed everything in a bowl, added some left over chicken, lemon zest, glazed vinegar, and made a dressing by reducing in a pan some white wine, light mustard and dried herbs. I can't wait to try it out again, and experiment further with different combinations!!
le feuilly baghira81 It does sound yummy. :) I was thinking about churros when I commented. I never exactly made an attempt myself and I'm having second thoughts that the cinnamon sugar might not stick to the bread crusts after they have become crispy.
CN W I just tried them - I coated finger-sized portions of bread in melted butter before doing so in cinnamon sugar (like what Catherine Nguyen suggested) and, unsurprisingly, they were so good :D They remind me of those cinnamon sticks you get from Cinnabon. Needless to say, I was extremely happy with how they turned out :)
I once made a sort of bread lasagna with sandwich meats in between layers of grilled cheese. Probably the best thing I've made at last minute because it was so simple to make and corned beef is delicious no matter what.
rparker069 there's a link to the beta version of their new website on their current one, which is similar to the app/connected to the same database. You could add the recipe there!
Jamie: WHAT BARBECUE? Mike: Where's the barbecue? Why haven't I been invited? Ben: I don't always invite you to everything I do! I'M LAUGHING SO HARD RIGHT NOW BUT AT THE SAME TIME I'M SO SORRY FOR MIKE I CAN'T EVEN XD
It's a phrase which is "I can't even stop laughing long enough to finish this sentence." ...the joke is they don't finish the sentence because they are laughing.
I made the chicken goujons with parsley, basil, thyme, and fresh parmesan cheese, but I baked them. THEY WERE AMAZING! Thanks for the recipe inspiration!
Came to this video to make the Apple and berry charlottes. Ended up making the Panzanella salad for dinner! Though I used a black raspberry vinaigrette instead of the sherry vinegar and it worked so well! I also added some iceberg lettuce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and toasted the bread. It was so nice I wished I made more!
My mom makes something similar to the panzanella salad. She actually fries off the chunks of bread in a bit of olive oil to make them crispier, and she includes some blanched potatoes in too! It's delicious.
It's always nice to nice to know that you can do more with bread than just using it to make sandwiches and toast. But I love the Panzenella salad, especially living here in Florida durning the summer, me and my mum's appetites adapt to the weather and we are always looking for more lighter foods to eat. And yes it's mostly salads and the like. Thanks guys, another amazing recipe I can't wait to try.
Chocolate bread and butter pudding is the best!! Assemble a normal bread pudding (with optional pear halves) and pour a chocolate custard over it before you bake. Also works with pain au chocolat. Comfort food at its best.
i loved the chicken fingers thing it was quite different!! well my mom heats up the pan with some butter and adds bread when its all golden she dips it into some condensed milk!! its soooo good
It's too hard to choose, all 3 look so yummy!!! And bread is a really versatile ingredient. The first thing the comes to mind if I have leftovers is peanut butter french toast XD Decadent. Also bread with garlic butter and assorted herbs, bread crumb filling for pork patties when you're running low on pork and as a base for pizza fried in a pan etc etc.
Ripe tomato, onion and bread salad is amazing. With some chopped anchovies and olives if you like. I make the bread pieces into croutons first, then add to the salad. Stops it from going too soggy.
I like making panzanella salad with croutons, so as the croutons soak up the vinegar, olive oil and the juices from the produce, they still remain a little crispy and toasty. And I love charlottes!
So cool, thanks for the great ideas. Mmmmm that chicken. I make a salad with pretty much the same ingredients but with mix of different lettuces and toasted bread cut into small squares. hugs
I love sqwa bread... It's a homemade roll made quite like a doughnut dipped in melted butter after cooking and dusted with a mixture of cinnamon and powdered sugar (confectioners)
I love panzanella salads, although I was always taught to pan fry the bread in a little olive oil with some salt and pepper first, so that it retains some more texture while absorbing the juices.
All of these recipes look great! I would have expected a Sopa de Ajo from this video, though! It's a Spanish soup that uses a lot of bread and paprika; absolutely yummy~
A friend of mine always makes the panzanella salad for parties but instead of the pepper she adds water melon and mozarella which may sound weird but tastes delicious! Also she sometimes fries the bread chunks so it's more like croutons.
An Idea for the crusts is to toast, lightly butter, sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon/sugar mixture, then dip in hot chocolate. We used to do this with toast cut in to strips so I would assume the crusts themselves would be good as well!
I used to chop the crust bits up into bite sized chunks, toss them with a some melted butter and cinnamon sugar and bake them until they were crispy. Then I'd eat them with vanilla ice cream. As for what I usually do with bread though, I make bread pudding with trail mix, and then pour condensed milk over it and eat it that way. Another thing I do is Japanese-style honey toast.
You could make little French toast sticks with the leftover bread crusts and sprinkle over some cinnamon sugar and that would be delicious! Okay, now I really want to make some French toast!!
Hi guys! I love your recipes, they are the best, and I have a solution for the rest of the crusts, I like to put them olive oil, garlic, dry oregano, salt and pepper and let them in the oven until they´re golden, then I put them in the blender and done, you have another crumbs to breading chicken, meat or fish!! :D
Remember not all oils are bad for you! Just be smart in choosing the right oil to use. Coconut oil would actually be better than baking since it has elements that contribute to your well being! Of course, don't get me started on butter - do some research and see for yourself! :D
I think most dishes like this can be baked... the fat of course brings an amazing flavour and texture, but bake it has its perks as well =) We barely ever have fried food in my place, we always went for baked, but if you have an Air Frier, I'd suggest you give it a try. I think you'd need to coat them and refrigerate it for a while to set it, but it's totally worth it. I do that quite often. OH! Maybe someone can help me out here, but I *think*, if you're not going to fry it, you could toast the bread. Cause it won't be as crispy, so maybe if the breadcrumb was toasted, a natural and simple way to get them a little crispy... right?
my mom does the same salad but with pita bred and we call it Fatoosh frying the bred with olive oil or ghee until it becomes golden and crispy for the dressing add little bit of sumack. i love bred :D
For the panzanella, try toasting the bread, rub it with olive oil and garlic, and then rip it into the salad. It makes it extra crunchy, and although it stills soaks up all the flavours, it doesn't get soggy.
With the crust you could do some amazing and delicious garlic croutons! Cut them in squares, toss them with olive oil and some very fine chopped garlic and put them in the oven for 10 min!!
This is most definitely my favorite three way, but it could even be my favorite of all time. Never have I wanted to make this many recipes at one time. Unfortunately, I must go work and earn a living..... tomorrow then
I like making a sausage grilled cheese... you basically flatten bread, toss some grated cheese on top, and roll it around a sausage. Then you fry it like a typical grilled cheese. It resembles an extra crispy corn dog, but with cheese inside.
My favorite thing to do with bread is my mother's own super secret recipe. You take two slices of bread and add some mayo or mustard or other favorite condiments. Then you add cheese and deli meats and veg and you put both sides together and boom!! Instant mouth magic!! We call them In-Between-ees™ since everything is in between two bread slices-
My favourite is the salad - totally fool proof, but so are most of Sorted recipes! Another thing you can do with bread is a "pizza toast". You literally take a few slices of bread, put cheese on it, put whatever other toppings you want, shove it in the oven, and let it cook, and you have a "pizza" that you made with the bread!
Soggy bread sounds like a terrible idea to me but the rest of that salad looks gorgeous and fresh! Guess I'll have to work myself up to throwing bread into it like that!
Bread soaked in salad juices is one of the best things ever, at my house there's usually a race at who'll get to the salad dish with the juices first (and my 22 m.o. daughter has joined in ;) ). Panzanella is usually done with stale bread, so it soaks the juices but doesn't become mushy. If you don't have stale bread you can toast it (or roast in a pan to dry it a bit more). But by all means try it, panzanella is an awesome salad! :)
Sofia Panayotova-Beneva Haha I think your comment has sold me on this - definitely going to give it a try now! Knowing that using stale/toasted bread means it won't get mushy also makes it seem much better :)
I'm seriously impressed with the positivity on these comments :) never noticed it before but just scrolling down haven't seen a single bad comment.love you guys

lydz121 Decent!
Also, Croutons!
Brilliant! Thank you
4:21 "I don't always invite you to everything I do!"
Ouch. Right in the friendship.
I tried the panzanella salad today, and it was delicious! I made it with green peppers, lightly fried some courgettes in olive oil, and toasted some slices of brown bread. All about the summer pudding right about now! Made it recently with brioche- so good! Loving the baked version!! :)
For the crusts, you could toast them in the oven and then toss them in cinnamon sugar.
Great idea!! have to try that, sound yumm...
ohmygods that sounds so good *-* gonna try that now.
le feuilly baghira81 It does sound yummy. :) I was thinking about churros when I commented. I never exactly made an attempt myself and I'm having second thoughts that the cinnamon sugar might not stick to the bread crusts after they have become crispy.
Just dip in melted butter, then cinnamon sugar! Toast and enjoy!

That sounds great. You should make a video or put the recipe on their app
I would put the recipe on the app but I only have iOS 6 ;~;
rparker069 shame, it sounds delicious!
rparker069 there's a link to the beta version of their new website on their current one, which is similar to the app/connected to the same database. You could add the recipe there!
" I DON'T ALWAYS INVITE YOU YO EVERYTHING I DO" awe :3
Jamie: WHAT BARBECUE?
Mike: Where's the barbecue? Why haven't I been invited?
Ben: I don't always invite you to everything I do!
I'M LAUGHING SO HARD RIGHT NOW BUT AT THE SAME TIME I'M SO SORRY FOR MIKE I CAN'T EVEN XD
haha I think giving each other a hard time it's kind of how their friendship works
You cant even what?
Beatriz Corbetta Reis I have to agree with you. That's just what best friends do
It's a phrase which is "I can't even stop laughing long enough to finish this sentence." ...the joke is they don't finish the sentence because they are laughing.
it's worse because ben is sincere like 95% of the time lmao
I made the chicken goujons with parsley, basil, thyme, and fresh parmesan cheese, but I baked them. THEY WERE AMAZING! Thanks for the recipe inspiration!
genius yet simple/obvious idea with the charlottes! yumyum
all of them are my favorite one, we have Salad", Entree, and Dessert yummmy this is gonna be my lunch for tomorrow!
Came to this video to make the Apple and berry charlottes. Ended up making the Panzanella salad for dinner! LOVED THEM ALL !!! You guys definitely are my fav RUclips channel !
These are literally the best thing since sliced bread.
I love my mother's bread pudding! It's so simple, yet so delicious!
Chocolate bread and butter pudding is the best!! Assemble a normal bread pudding (with optional pear halves) and pour a chocolate custard over it before you bake. Also works with pain au chocolat. Comfort food at its best.
I made toast with my bread.
Damn it! You beat me to the punch :P
XD
DeliriousGamer | An average gamer same

well my mom heats up the pan with some butter and adds bread when its all golden she dips it into some condensed milk!!
its soooo good
mouth watering. i can not waach this channel when I'm hungry
Jamie's sigh at 5:58 was the perfect explanation of what I was feeling.
It's too hard to choose, all 3 look so yummy!!! And bread is a really versatile ingredient. The first thing the comes to mind if I have leftovers is peanut butter french toast XD Decadent. I instantly subscribed cause you guys seem to make delicious food and you are entertainment to! Couldn't have asked for a better youtube channel!
Ripe tomato, onion and bread salad is amazing. With some chopped anchovies and olives if you like. I make the bread pieces into croutons first, then add to the salad. Stops it from going too soggy.
The recipe with the chicken and the dessert both sound really good.
I like making panzanella salad with croutons, so as the croutons soak up the vinegar, olive oil and the juices from the produce, they still remain a little crispy and toasty. And I love charlottes!
I love this series! I've been watching since the beginning and I always get inspired by this channel, amazing!
So cool, thanks for the great ideas. Mmmmm that chicken.
I make a salad with pretty much the same ingredients but with mix of different lettuces and toasted bread cut into small squares.
hugs
Barry's face saying "SUBSCRIBE!" #Bahahahahaha! Priceless! 💖 the whole SORTED Crew!
I love sqwa bread... It's a homemade roll made quite like a doughnut dipped in melted butter after cooking and dusted with a mixture of cinnamon and powdered sugar (confectioners)
Oooh, I really like the panzanella salad recipe! Adding the bread seems like a great way to make salads more filling for a simple summer dinner. :)
I dont eat it that often but i love french toast with some small pieces of apple tossed in cinnamon and light sugar. Yum!
I love panzanella salads, although I was always taught to pan fry the bread in a little olive oil with some salt and pepper first, so that it retains some more texture while absorbing the juices.
I have to say my fav were the goujons!
and well another good and easy recipe that can be done with bread, well... French toast!
Thank you very much you are wonderful
we want more recipe for leftover bread bread
thank you so much and have a nice day
All of these recipes look great! I would have expected a Sopa de Ajo from this video, though! It's a Spanish soup that uses a lot of bread and paprika; absolutely yummy~
I would definately put the goujons in the salad and use the dip as dressing! seems amazing
i loved the apple and berry charlotte!!
I was looking up on what to do with bread half an hour ago and didn't find anything.. HOW DID YOU KNOW :D
teandcoffee We always know! ;)
Ok that sounded a bit creepy guys 👐☝️
SORTED Food YOU ALWAYS KNOW??? Hahaa... I think I just saw Jamie popping out my window, Oh hello. CREEEPY
A friend of mine always makes the panzanella salad for parties but instead of the pepper she adds water melon and mozarella which may sound weird but tastes delicious! Also she sometimes fries the bread chunks so it's more like croutons.
I made the Charlotte and let me just say wow !!!!!!xxx love you sorted
An Idea for the crusts is to toast, lightly butter, sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon/sugar mixture, then dip in hot chocolate. We used to do this with toast cut in to strips so I would assume the crusts themselves would be good as well!
I tried this and it was absolutely delicious
absolutely love love all your recipes
I like using bread to make Rachel Khoo's Croque Madame Muffins! So yummy
TRYED EACH ONE LOVE THEM ALL
I used to chop the crust bits up into bite sized chunks, toss them with a some melted butter and cinnamon sugar and bake them until they were crispy.
Okay, now I really want to make some French toast!!
these look amazing... could you do a video on how to make sorted version of sugar rusks?
Mick and Jamie I love that sweet chilli mayo idea
My mother recently baked "Pan de Calatrava" with leftover bread, and it's pretty good! :)
i tried the apple and berry charlotte but with squirty cream amazing and the gouons they taste awesome to
Those chicken goujons have to be a winner! So excited to make them!
Can we all notice how many times it took Mike to get a piece of salad on his fork? Too cute to handle 😍
The Goujoun looks amazing.
I would've made mini quiches used flattened out bread as the 'pastry'. Also works well with tortillas!
that second dish is actually a tunisian dish, we make it daily. nice to see you guys have "Sort"ed it !
Could you bake the chicken goujons in the oven instead if frying them to make them a bit healthier? Would that work?
I don't see why not. Drizzle from olive oil over them and pop in an oven!
Remember not all oils are bad for you! Just be smart in choosing the right oil to use. Coconut oil would actually be better than baking since it has elements that contribute to your well being! Of course, don't get me started on butter - do some research and see for yourself! :D
I think you could, they would just be less crispy than if you fried them :)
Jennifer Hunter Yeah! I use rapeseed oil (canola oil) to fry mine which is much healthier than olive oil :)
I think most dishes like this can be baked... the fat of course brings an amazing flavour and texture, but bake it has its perks as well =) We barely ever have fried food in my place, we always went for baked, but if you have an Air Frier, I'd suggest you give it a try. this is my fav channel, ily guys
Bread and butter pudding is always a big hit in my house
These folks do amazing things. Please come to New Zealand and cook for us
my mom does the same salad but with pita bred and we call it Fatoosh
frying the bred with olive oil or ghee until it becomes golden and crispy
for the dressing add little bit of sumack.
i love bred :D
That Charlotte pudding looks delicious!
Ready salted crisp sandwich is clearly the best thing for cheap white bread.
I'm drooling as always....
Tried this today. Absolutely delicious. Thank you SORTED! :D
For the panzanella, try toasting the bread, rub it with olive oil and garlic, and then rip it into the salad. It makes it extra crunchy, and although it stills soaks up all the flavours, it doesn't get soggy.
gorgeous goujons definitelymy favourite
Mike foodgasm from the Chicken courgette... I've never said this about anyone else before...Mike is my spirit animal.
Ha my name is Charlotte and I kept getting really excited every time they said it!!
I'd definitely choose the bread pudding out of the three since I'm a big sweet tooth!
They all look amazing but the salad got me pretty intrigued. Gotta have to make it someday (:
I just tried the goujons and they were very yummy !! Thank you for the recipe :)
I seriously want everything in that kitchen
I loved the chiken fingers recipe 😋😋😋 really creative
With the crust you could do some amazing and delicious garlic croutons! Cut them in squares, toss them with olive oil and some very fine chopped garlic and put them in the oven for 10 min!!
For the chicken goujons:
In my experience if you mix the salt and pepper seasoning into the flour it gives more of an even flavour over the chicken :)
i have a thing for citrus ~ can you guys do one for either oranges or lemon/lime?
Panzanella is my favorite EVER! So glad you included this. Although I would have thrown in feta or mozzarella cheese :)
This is most definitely my favorite three way, but it could even be my favorite of all time. Never have I wanted to make this many recipes at one time. Unfortunately, I must go work and earn a living..... tomorrow then
Could not resist to comment..love all the three of them...you guys beautify the food #sorted
Looks like Ben's not the only one with the innuendos. Barry @ 7:46 made me giggle uncontrollably.
the apple - berry charlotte looks delicious and also the panzanella salad but I prefer the herby chicken goujons!
awww you guys crack me up ... good food and ideas!
You can also coat the bread crusts in sugar and butter and pan fry or bake them to make rusk-like dessert! And then dip it in chocolate.
Just caught myself drooling.
bread budding!! , my favorite
I like making a sausage grilled cheese... you basically flatten bread, toss some grated cheese on top, and roll it around a sausage. Then you fry it like a typical grilled cheese. It resembles an extra crispy corn dog, but with cheese inside.
Definitely a MUST TRY
The first one I would definitely eat! Yummo.
Love the recipes! :D keep up the awesome work!

All of them are my favorite. Well done guys. :)
Soggy bread sounds like a terrible idea to me but the rest of that salad looks gorgeous and fresh! Guess I'll have to work myself up to throwing bread into it like that!
Do it!! It's amazing!! Toast the bread first and it won't be as soggy :)
traditionally, it's made with day old bread so it's a bit stale and drier - not white sliced bread.
thought he'll do croutons in a salad instead
Bread soaked in salad juices is one of the best things ever, at my house there's usually a race at who'll get to the salad dish with the juices first (and my 22 m.o. daughter has joined in ;) ). Jamie's face when Ben put a little sprig of mint on the Charlotte was a picture! Ben and his mint...
With the goujons, i like to use honey instead of egg. Its really good :)
I'm seriously impressed with the positivity on these comments :) never noticed it before but just scrolling down haven't seen a single bad comment.love you guys
