Yes, I did not do a thorough rules review before playing this time. I know I forgot my defensive bonus when I had control of one of the cities and it came up again in conflict and that I completely forgot to start the game with any troops. I do not recall what the deal was with the influence track, but if I forgot that rule as well, then everything I did incorrectly just made the game more difficult. So, just pretend I was playing on KH+ difficulty when I lost.
