Diana Culbertson has a beautiful voice which is ideal for folk music,I recently heard her singing "The Sash " and she is versatile singer as well as an incredible accordion player !
Lots of musical talent from Scotland & across the Atlantic in this show, but rather a shame I thought, that Ulster could only produce four local traditional musicians for this - 2 Pipers & 2 Drummers. :-(
There's Cara Dillon, Paul Brady and co too.......but until folk in NI stop seeing NI music as 'Loyalist' music I give in..........Fred Morrison wouldn't be seen dead near a flute band ffs!!!
+DonegalRaymie201 I don't really think that Cara or Paul would consider themselves to be of the Ulster Scots tradition, that's why I didn't mention them.
Dick Glasgow But you said: "but rather a shame I thought, that Ulster could only produce four local musician...." There is more to 'Ulster', than James Galway, and Flute Bands, LOL!! (Tommy Doherty, should have said!)
Let us never forget that there is more that unites Scottish and Irish culture than that divides us. Alba agus Eire gu brath!
Brilliant. Made me so happy. I never met a politician that did that ! Musicians rule !

Came upon this by chance while looking up Fred Morrison: didn't know we had relations in N Ireland! Why are they called the Santer Sessions?

Excellent opening tune -- what is it called?
A jig called Skye, by Fred Morrison.
