I think this song is one of Madonna's best songs ever. I really wonder why it was released only in Europe and why it is never played on radio stations around the world. Is the song intellectually too demanding for American listeners?
In my fantasy world where Madonna reigns I would have made a video for: Words, spotlight, causing a commotion, think of me, pretender, stay, angel, over and over, physical attraction, where's the party, rescue me, sanctuary including every song from her confessions albums and mdna.

The look of love and causing a commotion were uk only singles so clips from the film who's that girl were used instead I don't think spotlight was released in the United Kingdom as a single.
It was released in France and Germany as well (as far as I know). The French sleeve cover had the same picture of the UK version, but on a red background. In Germany, it was the same cover as in the UK.
this song would be on nyc radios around sunset,,and the city would glow..great night scenic music on my walman.one of my favorite songs,with love don't live here and crazy for you at the time,live to tell wasn't,but did play that song too. I love when she stands in that beautiful dress,champagne in hand and walks elegantly toward lauden in the movie
This wasn't remixed it was mixed up. It's the original track someone shuffled into what I guess they thought a clever arrangement. It's not bad, and Ive always thought this track was underrated.

This is not an official version. Someone made this up. The LP Version is the only official version, and even the UK/Europe 12" release only has the LP Version. Furthermore, there WAS an official music video made for this song that aired in the UK. It consists entirely of clips from the film.
What's this song about, please? That part of" no place to hide , from the look of love" is like : " there's no scape from love or falling for some1", but. I can't get "from the eyes of pride" meaning.
