The New Years holidays is a big celebration in Russia, and there is a ton of entertainment and shows being produced around the Christmas season. One good example is an annual show "Goluboi Ogonek", which has been running since the USSR days. This year, however, the show took a massive turn: instead of being good family fun, it became Russian propaganda: the show was a compilation of Russian propaganda music (by SHAMAN our beloved), "patriotic" speeches, distasteful jokes about Ukraine and overall turned into a Z fever dream. In today's video we are going to react to the 2023 Russian New Years TV show and see how a family holiday is being used to push the Z agenda. Smash like and subscribe for more!

When a citizen of any country says that "thank you to everyone outside my country that does not treat me like shit," it sounds ridiculous, because initially there are no prerequisites for this, unless the person himself is shit. It is quite difficult for a normal Russian to be in Georgia now. I was there on vacation in the summer, and Georgia has changed a lot, prices have increased enormously, the attitude towards Russians has become lower than the baseboard (if compared with what it was a year or two ago). A rather strange attitude towards people who want to relax or live there, spend their money there, but to hear rudeness and dislike. @@GrantW01 -7c to -10c in Helsinki today.. though, I had to dial down the thermostat because we're on municipal central heating so it's good to save some energy for someone else.. it's hot enough as it is. The hot water comes from the coal power plants, they circulate the excess heat through the city that works as a heatsink.. much cheaper than electric heating. If you have electric heating the indirect water circulation system is "better" because you can heat up the water in night time when electricity is cheapest. If you have direct heating you only store the heat in the air inside the building but it's not nearly as efficient as storing the heat in liquid.
A heat pump (aka. air conditioner) is slightly more efficient since you are not converting electricity into heat but transferring it, funny fact: even if it is -20c outside, there is still heat you can transfer to inside with the heat pump. The cheapest (to operate) is to drill a deep hole.. then pump the heat from underground, the ground is already positive temperatures 2m deep.. but deeper hole, more heat.. just pump it out of the ground and heat your house. Drilling that hole plus equipment will cost 40-50k euros, though..
TL;DR worrying if Nordics will manage in Winter is wasting time.. hehe..

Even in my country I meet people that should know better but somehow believe Ukraine is the bad guy. They say "there are no good guys". (Okay, if there are no goodguys then are there no badguys?) They complain about Zelensky getting person of the year, about all the money going to Ukraine (well it aint going to Afghanistan anymore now is it?), and saying "there are no good-guys". These people have conservative convictions that are unfortunately turned to the wills of others (pundits and putin) that pretend to have the same values. Conservatism here struggles to not suffocate on the hard pushed liberal propaganda ideology the six ( I know, only six right?) media companies and academia/scientific community, so conservatives flock to anybody that is anti SGW or anti LGBT or anti woke. Unfortunately that also includes genuine Kremlin shills it seems. People that don't have the genuine love of God in their hearts. Maybe they see themselves (maybe because of Iraq and Afghanistan) in all the Russian propagandists that will be tried at the Hague.

Since NFKRZ asked me to tell him how im doing this winter in the comments, I'll indulge folks:
British citizen here. The winter in the UK this year was...mild. at worst. There was a week where the temperature did hit zero degrees Celsius at one point.
During this week, My hot water taps were...well...hot...My shower was hot. my bath was hot. My cooker/oven was hot. My house was warm enough.
The streets had little or no ice of them. The street lights were on all the time.
Interestingly there was no electric black outs that the propaganda was screaming about. (Oh...by the way...that was BRITISH propaganda...Not Ruzzian)
The super markets were full of groceries for everyone. No one was eating their pet hamsters or any other pets (That one was Ruzzian propaganda)
As far as im aware, There are no urgent or major issues where i live in my local town. No damage or nothing serious. Except in the summer, The heat was so bad that in the middle of town, a road cracked open. Forcing part of the road up just a little bit. that was funny to see! hilarious and unexpected.
Honestly, The worst problem i have encountered this year is the incompetence of Parliament and my government embarrassing themselves to the public. And it appears it is not going to get any better any time soon...That IS very painful to witness.
The greatest joke i have heard all year: The mighty undefeatable, unbeatable, unstoppable army that invaded its neighbour...has been pushed back by a comedian.
One of the most feared armies in the world has been converted into a joke by a comedian and that joke was shared to for the whole world to enjoy. Amusing.
I had a great Christmas, I spent it with my family. I am a snow person but sadly i did not get any snow this year. No snowball fights this year sadly.
And for those who celebrate the 6th of January, i wish you a happy holiday.
