One thing he does, which I’ve never seen another player do. He plays an attacker offside and then takes them out with a hard challenge. Free knock on the attacker. Crazy sophisticated!
Heck of a player, that Pau Cubarsi. If it wasn't for Marc Bernal doing his ACL in the 4th game of the year we'd have another 17 year old wonderkid, but this one is basically Sergio Busquets with clinical goal scoring.
Homework isn’t an excuse to miss a clasico. A funeral is a valid excuse. A wedding is a valid excuse, if you are in the wedding party. “Homework? Homework? We talkin about homework?” (Allen iverson accent)
Very well done video. Good idea to start practicing these concepts and strategies on the field in real life, but you can also train them playing the fifa/FC game where you have a good view of the whole pitch and you can keep trying different stuff without getting phisically tired.
Yeah he is crucial for Barcas defense & I would love to see him back beside Araujo with Flick cuz I think that gives Barca the best chance to have a solid defense with Kounde and Balde of course.
Cubarsi is by far the best player in his position for his age EVER. Pedri is by far the best player in his position for his age EVER. Yamal is the best player for his age at ANY position EVER. Luckily the gods are building them a cathedral. The new camp nou is going to be unlike anything the world has ever seen.
the offside trap is a trap to the opponent, it is a risk reward thing. It is about inviting them to attack and that is why Barcelona has the most counter attacking goals this season
@@LauraGS564 im aware, i just think that luke isnt aware of how big the risk is here because i have not seen him realize that a backwards pass is never offside yet and what the implications of that fact are in terms of higher line with offside traps.
Hey, just for future advise. Don’t get heavily swindled by the over exaggeration of European leagues. Yeah Barcelona is a giant in world football and yes Cubarsi is a prospect with high expectations. However, offside stats do not mean too much and they also are not because of one single defender. Yes he and his defender team mates are taking in and retaining great knowledge to boost there defensive IQ however Barcelona as a team play for offsides due to the managers instructions. By playing for offsides you are saving energy and defending a lot less. Liverpool may have less offsides but they have way more clean sheets because their defenders just defend a lot more. If you want “unbelievable tactics” you should focus more on premier league managers. Just like Real Madrid and PSG, Barcelona are more known for their money than their tactics, OG Barcelona basically created the Tiki-Taka but new Barcelona is just buying high priced players and putting them on big wages so they don’t leave, just like Real Madrid and PSG. Now onto the passing, all defenders nowadays are trained to make “Hollywood” passes, take Harry Maguire for instance, he is in no way seen as one of the best defenders in the world, but everyone knows he can pick out a pass from anywhere. Cubarsi is not “just different” he is just part of a rich team with a lot of traction around them. Also just for fun, the premier league is the best and most difficult league to play in, so if a player has not competed well in the premier league for at least a whole season then (especially if they’ve refused offers to play in the prem) they really can’t be compared to others who have dominated in the league.
Premier league is the most watched not the best. Toyota sells more cars than Ferrari u know that doesn't mean Toyota is the best.... The PL is just overrated.
@ you’re talking about people who moved when they were close to retirement so they could get a paycheck. No one dominates the prem then moves to la liga while they are still one of the best in the prem

Pau cubarsi is genuinely a fantastic talent, I’m so glad he’s on my favorite team, cause he’s an unreal player, let alone defender
One thing he does, which I’ve never seen another player do. He plays an attacker offside and then takes them out with a hard challenge. Free knock on the attacker. Crazy sophisticated!
Lamine Yamal recently won the golden boy award and I think Cubarsi is definitely going to win the next golden boy award.
La Masia produces more world class talents than every other academy in the world combined. More than a club.
Talented kid for sure!
One of the best young talents in the world of football for sure! ✨

AC Milan's Baresi was the master of leading the offside line. One of the greatest defenders and leaders of the game.

The best way to learn this is by officiating matches as an AR.
Cubarsi has a great future ahead 👏👏👏

im not sure you realise how risky theire offside trap is due to the fact that a backwards pass is never offside

Bayern couldn’t figure it out. Real Madrid couldn’t figure it out. Dortmund couldn’t figure it out. What is the risk?
Your comment makes no sense. A backward pass is no risk to an offside trap. Non sequitor.
LAMINE YAMAL you have to check him out bro!
React to his highlights 😅

And also many PL players have failed in La Liga who has been dominating football for decades.

this video did not show more of his ball playing abilities tbh, even tho it was a good video, please do react to some of those
He is excellent on the ball. He is crazy strong. He is also absurdly quick. He doesn’t look fast but he is.
