This area, Costa Blanca, has an amazing beach boardwalk. And condos here are more affordable than in our city, Portland, Oregon. We love a walkable and accessible city. I stayed a lot on Costa del Sol, Malaga, Benalmadena, Marbella. That's nice as well. But then I arrived in Alicante, and I jsut loved it there. The city has a special charm, with that castle overlooking the city. And form the looks of it, it has better weather than Malaga. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
you will love it. I am sure. a beautiful city. A visit to the castle is a MUST! the views from up there are mesmerizing, you could spend the whole day and not get tired of it!
Please could you let me know the name of the square with the palm trees where people are seated at tables at 37:17 and also what is the area shown at 53:55? Ah wait, I found it...I looked up the cafe Dulcina that appears in your video and it´s in Plaza Nueva.
Hey QueenBee. So you found the name of the area at 53:55? Yeah, it's called Plaza Nueva. The square at 37:17 is called Plaza Santisima Faz. Really beautiful square.
I stayed only for 3 days in Alicante, so I explored a small part of it. I loved the Santa Barbara castle, the views from there were amazing. And the castle itself... really nice. Regarding the area/neighborhood I would live in.... hard to say, since I only stayed in the center. Right now I would choose a place close to city center. I like having everything close by.. .and close to the beach as well.
En el minuto 37:17 se muestra la Plaza de la Santa Faz, esta justo detrás del ayuntamiento, y da a la calle mayor. Se podria decir que es el inicio a la parte antigua de Alicante, pero es muy centrico y esta tambien a 5 minutos de la playa y el paseo maritimo.
Se nota un ambiente frío y aburrido, a pesar del gran número de personas, nada que ver con las playas de México ! Para que ir tan lejos, en México tenemos eso y más 😅!
