    Regenerative braking is unique to EVs and enables the vehicle’s kinetic energy to be converted back to electrical energy during braking (deceleration or downhill running). The converted electrical energy is stored in energy storage devices such as batteries, ultracapacitors and ultrahigh-speed flywheels to extend the driving range by up to 10%.
    Does regenerative braking use brake pads?
    Brake pads would be utilized far less when a regenerative braking system is present. The basic job of a brake is to convert the kinetic energy of a moving car to heat. Regenerative brakes would store that kinetic energy in the battery instead. ... It's possible that you may be able to reduce the mass of some brake systems

    A typical modern electric train can save around 15-20 percent of its energy using regenerative brakes in this way. Some vehicles use banks of supercapacitors for storing energy instead of batteries
    What is the efficiency of regenerative braking?
    When the conventional vehicle brakes, the energy is lost to heat energy resulting from the friction between the brake pads and wheels. Regenerative braking allows the range of the EV to be extended; however, the efficiency of capturing this energy is reported to vary from 16% to 70%

    Regenerative brakes are an extremely innovative feature because they help recharge the battery while on the go and they also result in less base brake wear, so they last longer than non-regenerative brakes

    Aapne starting me bola ki rotating wheel or brake shoe ke bich friction hone se heat energy generate hoti hai
    Bad me aapne ye nahi bataya ki is heat energy ko use kese krenge hum
    Aapne k.e. ko electrical energy me convert kerne ke bare me bataaya

    Regenerative braking is used in EV cars and due to this, single padle operation of EV car is also possible, but car can't be stopped using regenerative braking and to stop the car break padle is necessary.

    SIR..till you explained that the train is running on petrol it was OK. when you entered to electric train. then your concept is wrong. Pl read books to know what is regenerative braking !! ( The same motor starts producing torque in negative direction.) if it is a DC motor then it BACK EMF become more than the applied voltage... If it is an induction motor then concept is different ...all these pl read .PL DO NOT MISGUIDE STUDENTS!!!
