  • The Ghouls rush against nature to finish a 71 Road runner for the owner to see it one last time. Very moving story of cars, family and the mopar love that binds.

Yes, I miss my old ride. A dark grey 1973 Dodge Charger SE with 1972 hide away headlights and 1971 Super Bee tail lights. I had thoughts of a 72 doors but prefered the unbroken body line of the 73 doors over the indentations and decals when it came down to it. Power was supplied by a 426 stage 3 wedge. It came with slot mags, I hid the evil with Moon Wheel discs. Door handles and trunk lock were shaved.

I owned a 1969 Mach1 Mustang for many years, and the stripe kit was also reflective; it looked great in the dark when light shined on it just like the Mark explained about Mopar Stripes & decals.

I tell ya, Mark, I know what you're talking about I had a 1969 Plymouth GTX 440, 4-spd, Dana... and I see/seen you had one in your shop that you were preparing for a customer. My heart sank, it had the Crager S/S wheels as I had and it was just a beautiful build to watch over time, oh, and mine had a rear defrost which was a fan in the rear package tray in the center... when I sold it the odometer read 50 plus [869] I believe. Got to tell ya I was kinda jealous when you delivered it to the customer! "Smile"
