    Watch a full tutorial as a 2004 Toyota Tacoma will have a Pioneer double din bluetooth radio installed. Our Tacoma already had a double din radio, and if replacing with a double din, no dash kit is required. If using a single din, and no factory pocket is present, we will link parts in the description!
    This video applies to Toyota Tacoma models for years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, complete installation, wiring, and testing.

    Thanks for the help! I ended up with 7 spare wires that I just taped and forgot about, but it works perfectly so I’m not touching anything!

    Thanks for the video. Everything works, but my radio doesn’t turn off with ignition. If I forget to manually turn off it drains my battery. Do you know the problem?

    I sometimes can't understand why car makers put head units in such wierd locations. Driving a vehicle should mean that all important information items should within sight line of the driver. This install show how ridiculous the positioning of the OEM radio is for driver safety.

      Yeah it's a design flaw in these 01-04 models.

    Wish you would have showed how to connect the parking brake wire correctly

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад +2

      It's not difficult, using a T-tap connector, tap into the only wire that comes off the parking brake assembly (which is a ground wire), and connect your Pioneer's green wire into that ground, using that T-Tap. Alternatively, Pioneer and Alpines can be bypassed with a "microbypass relay", and all other brands can just simply be grounded.

      I’m not sure why you need to connect your stereo to your parking breaks?

      I’m also perplexed as to the reason why they need to be connected. I’m sure it makes sense but without knowing, it sounds completely pointless

      @@ProvoBeastAudiomy 01 Tacoma has two wires plugged into the parking brake. One white and one green. Which one do I connect the pioneer green wire to?

      @@chasefam3 Green is ground, white is hot. So you need to connect to the green.

    question where does the full blue wire connect to its kind of hard to see in video if it was used or not

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      It’s a powered antenna wire. If your radio doesn’t have a solid blue wire, just tie it into the red wire in the harness.

    Where did that green wire go?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      Do the ground on the parking brake mechanism (the only wire present). Just used a t-tap. Alternatively, you can use a bypass (if using a Pioneer), or simply ground the parking brake wire if using any other radio brand (besides alpine and pioneer).
