Awe, just missed my old house. I grew up at 524 Owen St. Across from St. Mary's church. I'm glad you caught the Castle Museum and Hoyt Library...I almost lived there for my younger childhood days in the summer. They had a big yellow python in the children's part of the library downstairs. I used to read books to it. 😊
1:21 Funniest part is the dude on the left (checkered shirt) is a friend of mine 😂 No cap (can't tell who the other person is but if he's with him i probably know him too)
Born and raised on the West Side - left in 73 after high school. Visited my parents on Heritage square occasionally until they moved around the year 2000. It became very unsafe - drive by shootings etc... Haven't been back since and the place looks like a ghost town compared to when I was living there. Much is run down, and don't see may people out. It was a bustling town until the Arab oil embargo destroyed the US car industry. Too bad.

Born and raised there.... another town devastated by General Motors closing plants... ahhh Capitalism ... did you show the YMCA building ... where in the kitchen, Simon and Garfunkel wrote the song America?
What? Simon and Garfunkel were here too?! I Just recently learned Stevie Wonder was from here, how tf have I lived here over 30 years and never knew that? I think something changed in the timeline because it seems a fact like that would be more well known

I lived in Saginaw for 5 years. This video really picks up the good parts. Great job!

Wonderful video and music to illustrate the death of a once beautiful city. I was raised there in the 60's & 70's, but would never go back.
Nice. Great quality!

"It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw." Was this filmed on a very slow Sunday? Because everything looks very quiet.

The y was at the south end of town. This was mostly the northern end.
