Great review! I have both Globetrotter and recently got this compact. I LOVE it. I use it for lighter days when I dont need everything. I can still fit my Nikon Z6 (with adapter and 85mm lens) in the cube along with 3 lenses (50, 20, 24-70, for example). If I REALLY wanna bring my telephoto, I can put it (or my camera body + 1 short lens) in the top cube... but usually I like to have a light jacket or shirt in there (without the cube). The water bottle part doesnt usually apply to me because I dont really like carrying them in side pockets but if I do want to, my standard 21 oz hydroflask fits pretty snugly, somehow. But I prefer to just have my tripod in a side pocket (MeFoto RoadTrip) - or most of the time no tripod since I just use this for daytime handheld shooting. It also works for me because I dont carry a laptop but I do bring my 12.9" ipad Pro (with case) with me and it fits great. Most of all I just love how sleek and rectangular it is.. and the "cement" color one that I have looks and feels so much better than I thought it would in person.
Hey Desy, I've been enjoying your reviews and have lately been on the endless pursuit of my next bag(s). I do mostly video for work as my day job, and both video and photography in my personal life too. I've outgrown the Peak Design everyday 21L, and have lost my affection for the side opening pockets, since I had a lens fall out onto a pier. yikes. Anyway, I do travel a bit with DSLR cameras and audio gear, and have narrowed it down to the Mindshift Backlight, which I guess is getting kind of old now, but where do you rank that bag now against the current competition. I love the Globetrotter, but not having that tripod option is not great for me. I know there's not a silver bullet, but wanted your thoughts mostly on Backlight, etc. I wish the PRVKE worked better - I'm not loving the gear reviews I've been seeing. Would love your thoughts.
Hey justin! I would suggest the Incase Camera Pro Pack (The larger one). I recently had a shoot where I had to bring my full photo gear and a DJI ronin and my laptop, etc. This bag will accommodate all of that and its surprisingly comfy! the main thing i dont like about it is that it looks fairly large. But yeah it sounds like you need to fit medium-large gear so I would suggest the incase and the mindshift (those are the 2 large bags i have) I also have the fstop tilopa, but thats really large!
@@DesmondCheng Thanks so much for the response and the great recommendation, I'll look further into the Incase you suggested. Keep creating great content!

This made me decide if I need it or not. Thanks for the video.
Nice review. Beautiful and stylish bag but comes with many compromises for me. Thanks
thanks!
