Good morning Wanderizm, your videos are the best tourist guide for people, who are not so much - or no longer - interested to visit the wellknown tourist attractions, but really want to discover a different London! Following your steps, I sometimes even catch myself by shouting "go left!" or "go right!" And I want a flat in that house with towers at 26:37 on Windmill Hill! Hamstead seems to be a very good district of London to live there! 😂😂😂
Haha, that's awesome! Excellent choice; not only is the area beautiful, but the people who live there are as well, being really pleasant and welcoming. Go get that flat! 👍😆
@@Wanderizm That will be easy! Meanwhile I found out that it is called Mount Vernon House, a former hospital. Two bedroom flats there are about 1.250 pound s a week! 😂😂😂
Thanks for a most enjoyable walk . As a north london milkman based in Camden Town it took me back to my younger days when an electric van managed the hills surprisingly well.Mike.
I’ve just rewatched this video, and I am of the opinion that this is the best and most comprehensive video on You Tube of Hampstead village. You must have been pretty tired with all that walking up and down hills. It would be wonderful if you could do another video of the same calibre, perhaps including some of the streets and alleyways you were unable to cover in this video. Devonshire Hill, Keats Grove, Pond street,Holly walk and Cannon Lane come immediately to mind, but I’m sure there are others.
I walked around here for a short while in 1998 but didn't appreciate how big it was or I would have spent more time drinking in the veddy posh roads & homes 😋 I headed up to the park (Parliament hill?) to write instead. This reminds me a lot of parts of Boston where I'm from, esp the Back Bay and Beacon Hill. Still, it's not much of a comparison, I don't think we even have anything close in Boston to this ambiance. Too bad. I wonder what this area was like throughout history, ie the great fire? and how much it's changed. Properties with beautiful hilltop views are always reserved for the upper classes. Maybe in my next life - which will most likely be soon - I'll come back as a resident of Chelsea or Hampstead!✌️🇺🇲🇬🇧😘 Thank you for the memories and high quality relaxing strolls!
Thanks for your comment and for sharing your thoughts Hila Kummins. I’ve not been to Boston but would love to see it one day. Ahh, I'm sure you'll have more time; Chelsea and Hampstead can wait. Or when the pandemic is over, perhaps you can visit London again and do more writing from your favourite locations. 👍
Hampstead high st. Reminds me of Greenwich CT main st. - the gentle uphill slope, the upscale boutiques, the rich thin people about, the insane real estate prices ...
Thanks for the kind words, Sebastian! 😊 oh yes - I have, just waiting for the lockdown to be lifted as I would love to cover the markets around those area too! 👍 Any other favourites? 😊
Hello again! 😊 Hope you’re doing well! I uploaded a walk from Primrose Hill to Swiss Cottage last week. The Swiss Cottage Pub was closed due to lockdown so it was strange to see it so empty 🙁
The trouble with Hampstead is everywhere is just so darn pretty, you don't know where to walk next! Great place to live, and enjoy walks everyday.
Yes it is. My favourite London village! 😊
Lovely walkingtour you got here thank you for sharing perfect weather and ambiance

It's worth visiting Downnshire Hill, Keats Grove, Pilgrims Lane, Gainborough Gardens, Heathside, Vale of Health
Ohh thanks Henrietta! Making notes 😊 I will be revisiting Hampstead post lockdown - it’s such a charming urban village ♥️
Gainsborough Gardens is private, perhaps they would not welcome people filming in the street there.
Look at those amzing turretts.
