I just wanted to say that every few months or so I come by here to read new comments on this video. Over 7 years later and still the amount of kindness and support I see in the comments blows my mind. I don't think I've ever seen another video with a comment thread so positive and heartwarming. It's especially cool to see that many of you grew up on this video (and man does it make me feel old). Having a little girl of my own now, it means that much more to me. So again, thank you for everything you all have said over the years. I read every comment and they make my day better every time.

Checking in April 2022. Remember watching this when I was a young kid after beating Crisis Core. A lifetime has gone by and I suddenly remembered it. Still made me shed a tear. Hope it lives on.

I remember finding this when I was in 9th grade, sooooo long ago. This is by far the best AMV I will ever watch and I continue to tel this to my friends to this day. Always my favorite, never remove this! It's gold!

2:45 onward... that part hits me... SO hard in ways that you can't even imagine, even if I didn't have the knowledge of Crisis Core, it was just timed so amazingly well... and it hurts... You definitely did amazing on this for it to be such an older GMV. :D
I really truly grew up on this video, my dad showed this to me when I was a kid and I went around ages 6-10 telling everyone how my favorite song was called 'this is war' and it was so cool. Rewatching it is like reliving my childhood. I always eventually end up back at this video, it feels like a piece of me.

The Zack and Cloud scene where Zack is talking to Cloud always gets me. From the on, I'm just a sobbing mess. That's how good this is! I'm so glad that Final Fantasy was created. This is my favorite video game franchise ever!

I'm not exactly sure why I was reminded of this video. I haven't watched it in years and each time I come back it's better than I remember.

I used to Rollplay FF7 on Bebo back in the days, and it was videos like these that I would finish school to come home and just play on repeat. To any one these days it would seem bizarre and weird. Having played Crisis Core and knowing what Zack means to Cloud, the whole damn adventure about Angelo...and then this absolute gem of an amv is why I keep Zack as my PfP.
He was the perfect character for tying all of FF VII together, because he is just so much of all of it without the question as to why he has to choose sides.
Ultimately, he chooses to defend both Angelo, and Cloud, even knowing Sephiroth is a friend. He hopes for the best! Though he doesn't get to see it at that end, he knows good will overcome evil.
I was 9 years old when I first watch this. Back then I make sure to watch this once or twice a day. 12 years later, I still go back to this. 😭

I've seen this video probably a thousand times, and I still love it. From start to finish. I honestly consider this one of my favorite music videos of all time.
This video introduced me to 30 Seconds to Mars and even though I already knew the name of Final Fantasy, it also made me buy my first FF game.
Today I have been on several concerts, own all the albums of 30STM and FF has become my favorite game series. I still come back to this video years later.
I am studying Game Art and my "little" dream is it to maybe work for Square Enix one day. I hold so much love for their lore, world- and storybuilding, characters and music that I cannot put it in words
I just re-remembered this video while going through and introducing my wife to the FF7 compilation
And I legit haven't cried so hard in years

I'm so glad this is still around. I must've first found this about ten years ago now? For some reason watching it again has brought me to tears. I guess the nostalgia just hit me like a truck. I always remember that blend of Cloud's scream with the song, the buildup and the crescendo, with the scenes from Advent Children. Many amvs that were beloved and core to my growing up are gone, but I can't describe the relief and joy I felt knowing this was still up.
I guess I'm going to leave this comment here for me to find in a year or two when I inevitably come back to watch this video again.

I can't believe its been eleven years since I first I stumbled upon this video. I really like thirty second to mars but I didn't know anything about FF back then. However, this video was so amazing that I found myself checking it out. I'm still not a gamer but I thank you for introducing this gem to me.

Six years later, and this video still hits hard, especially when Cloud screams in anguish over his only friend in Midgar passing away in front of him...an amazing piece of work, even after all this time.

it's December 11th 2020 and I just turned 21... I grew up with the Final Fantasy games and movies. This video has just brought back the exciting feeling I felt when I watched the stories for the first time. I never heard this song and its not really my style, but I cried. The overwhelming and familiar feeling I'm experiencing just makes me love the series more.

Such a great video. I remember being an emotional teenager when I found it. I had just finished Crisis Core on my psp 2000, and spent my days listening to 30 Seconds to Mars. This video brings memories of three different portions of my mid teen years all at the same time. A great video indeed.
I wasn't even born yet when this game was made... But damn I really love Final Fantasy. The characters will always have a special place in my heart.

This is the first amv video that I ever watched more than a decade ago before I even knew what amv or final fantasy was. I thought this was one of the coolest things I've ever seen and I spent a while trying to find the source footage with no success. I forgot about this video until something prompted my memory recently. Recently, I started playing final fantasy XIV. And the pre release footage of sage and how they use glowing swords to battle just dredged up this video from the depths of my memory.

This video...wow....I barely knew what final fantasy was when I arrived here, back in 2011. It was the first time I had heard the song. It just blew me away. I was sitting there, in a dark place. I was procrastinating homework and stumbled upon the video. I literally just stared at the screen, transfixed. I turned it up, put on my headphones, and just watched intently. When it showed Zack dying and Cloud screaming, I cried....for a good long time. The song...the video...Just perfect. Bravo. Bravo.

It just makes me want to go back and play all the parts of the FF7 Saga and makes me want the remakes and for the story to continue forever.
