it defeats the uniqueness to his smokes tbh. Other orb-type smokes are point and click, which makes them easier to use and less precision needed, but it also limits them from doing the one ways that omen was able to do. Omen's smokes are harder to properly placed bc the player has to work with a 3d projection of the real map, not just the bird eye view from top down. I think Riot should have nerfed his flash or his tp, his flash is way too overpowered for stalling and initiation, he has 2 tp's and each costs 100 creds to perform technically a jett dash to bypass trips and choke points.
he wasn't insanely meta because of his flashes and tps, he was neta cause he could literally throw insanely op smokes that NO other controller could throw. That was the reason why he was being picked over other controllers, nerfing his tp and flash wouldn't have mitigated the issue.
Thats exactly why the change is bad, he already said most smokes are still there. It was just a good fun skill ceiling, now skill is gone. And like he said duration is way better of a nerf than what they made
