My brother just bought one of these he says it’s a C 10 and we’ve been trying it out and learning the operation and I have noticed when I am mowing with it and get into about medium grass the blade seems like and sounds like it is slowing down and not cutting then it takes it’s time to come back up to speed but the engine doesn’t seem to show any bogging! Is there some clutch that isn’t adjusted right before that gearbox of the brush hog that might be slightly slipping?
Neat pre 106 power head on the hog. I have 9 Gravely wall behinds. ...Use the shit out of them. What is that huge muffler? Is it off a pro 16? I see That your reverse handle needs adjusted. Johnnylove15 is my RUclips channel for Gravely videos. Check it out
The big muffler is original to the tractor. It’s a 50/50 chance of finding one with it still on but it works really well. It’s very quiet behind the tractor. Reverse works fine I just wasn’t locking it down all the way.
Nice and quiet. I’ve been to hundreds of gravely shows and have never seen a stock long muffler on that era machine. That should have a pepper pot. I put a long muffler on my 546 with k 241. Someone must have put that on before it came into your posession. You correct me if I’m wrong with a manual...No harm done.
I’m going to put up a video of my L eating small trees with its brush hog. If you got the right set up these can chop up larger stuff too. I liked running the 40” deck on the front of this but it cuts too low for our liking. The sickle bar is also rather fun to play with. The dog eater on the other hand kind of sucked it would clog up too much and was really hard to maneuver.
Kid!! Stop holding the lever in your right hand use BOTH hands on the handlebars to lift mower deck when you need to cut big bushes and branches...geesh!!
I don’t know if you knew this but you can also use one hand instead of both to tilt the machine. The weights pretty much 50/50. I’ll correct my operating next time so you don’t get as upset. Thank you for the feedback.
I need one of those for my property.
Thats a mans mower I remembered my uncle had two of them and let me cut grass with it and it was a beast it does the work and you hang on lol
Awesome video! Great machine! the old machine were Realy built with quality parts. :)
Dang that thing can get some work done nice

Yes there are two clutch disks that can be replaced as well as a clutch plate. Richards Gravely Shop in W. Virginia sells them.
and a 4-wheel gravely in the wings....

Seems like that's about what a Gravely is good for.....I never could get anything else good out of one except small time bush hogging.

@@enginesandoutdoors3238 the dog eater isn't the greatest snowblower made for those. Try a MA210 snow cannon instead. Infinitely better
