Why should the use of chest be a matter of "excuse"? You have to sing in chest voice where your voice is asking you to sing chest voice. It's all because of this incomprehensible phobia agains chest voice that todays sopranos and mezzos are mostly blocked in the lower zones of their voices.
Almost sounds like the beginning of a Twilight Zone episode, or thanks to the annual New Year TZ marathon, perhaps I've seen a few too many in the past 24 hours?
I have no problem with a singer using the chest voice. My point is that Tetrazzini (my favourite singer on records) does not seem at ease in it, in this particular record.
Innamorata pazza della Tetrazzini !!! Sublime ..questa è davvero sovraumana !
This is lovely...one of my favorite records by her (and there are many!). Thanks for posting this, Doug!
Thank you for uploading! So lovely!
Wonderful---what a treat. Very many thanks.
Always a pleasure... thank YOU, Graham!
Grande Tetrazzini ...
Thanks Doug :-)
Most welcome... THANK YOU!
Thank YOU, Francoise!
1:09, seconda strofa
1:46, cadenza interna
Yes, agree this is superior to her earlier recording. Now I must listen anew to the Kurz... Thank you, Nate!
Haha... well said... thanks, Nosh! And the same to you! Cheers. Doug --
