    If your going to breed antlers of that size, make sure that the deer's body is proportionally large and built for carrying its own antler size.

      I remember growing up in San Antonio watching the Warren Bros. back when they were stationed on Noah's Arc. We all need to remember, this still is just entertainment and it's been great watching throughout the years. When it comes time for him, and the rest of this industry to retire,...I forgot what I was going to say....

      He said trophy hunting kills the best and usually the bezt of that line which is why they keep the bezt on his farm. He keeps good buck so that the strong genes can be bred and exported to different buyers keeping a populace of the strong type here. I agree with him on being against such styles of hunting.
      I like Antelope and exotics moreso but this deer stuff is fun to watch.

    Keith those are some beautiful deer. I can see where deer farming is really a great thing. Shows like yours help educate those who really don't know why deer farming is so important. Not only does it replenish our deer population but helps bring in healthier deer in to areas that have a diminished of healthier deer. I am so glad you are apart of such an group of people who find it so important to do things like deer farming and wild life managment .

    With all the people complaining about the size what the hell do you think the deer looked like 100+ maybe even 200+ years ago. Deer like this don't look typical because most people are idiots and shoot the first one they see in the beginning of a season thus all we get are smaller racks even if we think they look big. Regardless of what you think this is what a buck should look like. Fuckin beautiful

    Sorta makes me think of Women and Plastic Surgery - these things are perverted from what is natural and healthy and it is not for the love of the person/animal but from the lust of the man for their own profit in one way or another.
    No opposed directly, I don't think it is "wrong" necessarily - many deer raised close to where I live and people will do what they will to make a living or go after a hobby they like. I just know have experienced what produces life and love and joy in my life and as far as deer hunting goes, this is not it for me.

    These types off racks NEVER occur in the wild- they would be unable to fight because their antlers are too heavy- while I find teh results of selective breeding to be fascinating I don't think anybody could believe this is healthy for the species

    • @evertonmiranda2004
      @evertonmiranda2004 2 года назад

      Remember that this is top genetics with perfect nutrition. These individuals wouldn't achieve this size in nature because there isn't enough food. Additionally, they are not used for reintroduction, they are for inseminating females on wild, genetically impoverished populations, They do this very well.

    • @SouthAfricaBra
      @SouthAfricaBra 2 года назад

      @@evertonmiranda2004 Atypical racks are bone like spurs. Antlers are solid mass and like muscular dystrophy change due too trauma. A well fed healthy top tier buck can and do appear in the wild and they got fat necks thick fur and size-able, tall even racks. This is just like german shepherd lines getting theres hips sloped due too over breeding and various other dogs where people thought the bigger is better monicker worked for creatures. I do not get why humans mainly American immigrants and descendants of them despite being born here post colonization because they too are immigrants (non indigenous) have too always overtly stick they’re dicks in nature and control and colonize everything 😂

    "I'm a whitetail conservationist. I conserve them so I can let them go on my land and shoot them."
    You're a deer conservationist like Colonel Sanders is a chicken conservationist. 3/4 of the huge racks you've taken are pretty much cheating. It's like a man on steroids fighting women in the UFC. Just like your trips to Africa where someone walks you up to an animal so you can shoot it from 100yds (or less), or feeding pigs that you shoot from 20yds. You're not a hunter, you're just a killer.

    Gladiator XL could barely hold his head up. Genetic diversity is more important than antler size. When you have one deer siring over a thousand deer you loose genetic diversity and genetic information. Having big antlers dont make a deer superior. It probably just makes them more vulnerable to hunters. I mean these deer are likely not able to maneuver between the brush without getting tangled up. They are also more likely to get spotted by prey or hunters. I see value in a deer farm to ensure a deer population but if eugenics is involved, then there could be long term effects.

      If you saw one of these in the wild in all honesty it would probably be a good idea to cull it. I am not a hunter and like seeing wildlife living but I don't have a problem with hunters who follow the rules and regs. I like seeing a big buck as do most people but the racks that are so big that the deer can't hold up its head don't look good to me. I know these deer most likely would not have these big racks if they had to forage in the wild for their food but they remind me of a woman with a way overdone boob job.

      If it is about conservation then there should be more diversity. I don't know if growth hormone is used, but i know growth hormone is what causes bone growth. Deer in the woods are organic because they are just eating what is on the ground, but the ground for the most part in this video is bare. I bet GH and feed is used. If they are crowded then perhaps antibiotics are used. So this makes these deer no more organic then the cheap meat in a grocery store.

    I hunt in Michigan and seen some huge body deer( though very rare)I have seen some white tale that look the size of a average female elk. Backs are level with a 5ft fence.
    If them same racks were on a bigger headed deer they would be a wider spread.

      IGOTAJOP America yes texas deer are much smaller naturally there are plenty of open ranches in texas you can hunt typically on a well managed ranch im not talking high fence the deer are small body with large antlers there plenty of hunting videos you can check out to get a example of the further you travel north the larger the body deer you will come across the bodies have to be larger because they have to hold more heat in texas those deer because of the size they are and the body mass they dont need allows minerals and nutrients to build larger racks. I live in Missouri and most of these deer are about the size of year to one and a half year olds but with less muscular development

      @@magyar1274 I like the racks and to see a deer like Gladiator XL its nice.I know i wouldnt pass him up in the woods.
      But. You would think they would look and breed huge size doe for breeding.
      To see a really big body deer walk by your stand that you know is bigger then the state record is by weight is a sight that will change you forever. The first time I told my friend what I saw i know he thought i was telling a fish story.(it was bow season last year.Being his property he has a feeder by his house for viewing. Just remember my friend has shot a lot of nice bucks over the years.He calls me on the phone (after the season was over almost stuttering saying my buck was at the feeder and it was 2and a half feet taller at the back then the other7 deer out there.
      A big rack with. Average body is like having a nice hotrod with no engine.

    These poor deer have more chemicals pumped in them than a oil refiner
    Pet them before your crawl in the stand to blow his head off

    Those deer don't look proportionate or practical. It's ridiculous at this point.

    You will occasionally see an atypical deer or elk in the wild but to breed for them as an oddity is to taunt nature.
    Some of these guys cannot hold their heads straight. They look like hell through no fault of their own.

    Agree xl has to heavy on one side and can’t hold his head up. Hunting these deer would not be real hunting it’s like going out in a field and shooting a cow

    With only a few superior bucks producing most of the offspring, how do you incorporate enough outcrosses to control inbreeding depression? What would you say is the average co efficient of inbreeding?

    Having this many deer crowded together increases the risk of disease. The disease I'm thinking of is the deer version of Mad Cow Disease. This is an actual risk.

    ANTLERS WEIGH MORE THAN THEIR BODIES, that’s fucked up and wrong. Deer can’t even hold their head up straight.
