- Well, be showing you a tutorial on how to build a simple and easy automatic afk fish farm in Minecraft 1.20. This automatic afk fish farm works on the Bedrock and Java version of Minecraft 1.20. The fish farm can get you a lot of treasure loot, fish, and XP. citation from minecraft wiki: "To catch items in the treasure category, the bobber must be in open water, defined as the 5×4×5 vicinity around the bobber resting on the water surface (2 blocks away horizontally, 2 blocks above the water surface, and 2 blocks deep). Each horizontal layer in this area must consist only of air and lily pads or water source blocks, waterlogged blocks without collision (such as signs, kelp, or coral fans), and bubble columns. These conditions are checked every tick to determine if the player is eligible to receive treasure from a fishing attempt. If the conditions are not met, only items in the fish and junk categories can be obtained from fishing."
this farm will only give you junk fish and xp, which might still be nice

i don't have to fish anymore for food.
My fishing rod doesn't do it that way. it keeps being pulled in and out instead of just staying there, causing the trapdoor to open randomly without anything on my line. Please help me fix that
try holding right click while looking at the noteblock and it should work
you probably crafted a jukebox instead of a noteblock!

Works halfway for me in the Java version. The hopper sucks up the catches, but doesn't distribute them in the chests. Not that big of a deal, as the overflow goes into the character inventory, but you have to manually empty the hopper.
Crouch and aim the hopper in the chest so the tube is facing the chest OR maybe put a minecart with a hopper in it and then put it on top of a hopper that is facing the chest but idk about this farm they don’t really work on bedrock,try a different farm because most ppl lie about this for views
Just to let you guys know this method was nerfed awhile ago and doesn’t give as good loot anymore

Bro you can’t fish on a trapdoor in bedrock, I’m trying and it does not work,

i dont think trapdoors allow you to fish in bedrock
I think it’s only a Java thing, people lie a lot
hitting the noteblock cancels the ability to reel in there is a reason they didnt show it actually working in the video

can you help me try and fix this i built this the same exact way and used my controller with tape but for some reason the fishing rod isnt going back when the pressure plate goes up and while the trapdoor goes down
