I feel like one of the only seniors at my school who genuinely isn’t bothered that it’s almost over? Yes the memories are super fun and maybe I’ll miss it post grad but I feel like I’m just too excited to see God’s plan for my life and all the new memories I’ll make and people I’ll meet in this next chapter!

what school is UT?
As a current college student, I totally understand the nerves around college decisions! I got rejected from my dream school during my senior year and it one thousand percent felt like a punch to the gut, but I would just say that if something is meant for you, it will find you. Getting rejected or waitlisted is simply redirection because God knew that you would be better off somewhere else. I’m loving all these senior year vids so much and I’m happy that you’re making memories that will last a lifetime! Sending you so much love, light, and happiness, Katie❤

I love what you said about God having a plan and about how disappointing things like getting into a dream college, etc are him showing that it is not the right path for you. it is going to go by really fast, but my advice is to really live in the moment, go to the school events, hang out with friends, go out and just DO things you’ll remember, don’t let the stress get to you, and really try to enjoy these last few months

I just finished cheer tryouts today and that was my mindset that if God makes me a cheerleader great if he doesn’t that is all apart of his plan. I got in to both of my top schools and was torn between them because they were basically the same the only difference being location and price. I didn’t know which to choose and I had been praying over it for a while. I finally got scholarship decisions and I didn’t end up getting the scholarship I needed to go to one of them so I had the decision made for me. Ultimately though it was the better decision cause it’s closer to home and half the price. Definitely God working in my life and revealing the best choice. Good luck on your other schools and I pray everything works out.

Omg hi, I was in the exact same situation... UTK was in my top 3 choices and I got deferred to regular decision and then waitlisted. I was just so surprised by it all and honestly so sad. But it definitely makes me feel a little better hearing other people experience the same thing.

Hi Katie! not sure if you'll see this but if you do, I would love it if you read it :) I'm also a senior in high school and go to a private school in norcal that seems very similar to yours! I'm also vice president of my ASB too!! I found this video really comforting because it really opened my eyes to how much I really want to reconnect with my faith. the whole college process has been extremely overwhelming but I have comfort in knowing that God has a plan for me and knows what is best. at the end of your video you asked to comment prayer requests so here is mine- a few days after Christmas my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. it has been very tough on my family and me, especially since it is the second semester of my senior year. if you see this I would absolutely appreciate any love and prayers that you could send my way. you really are an inspiration to me and I find so much comfort in your videos because we are on such similar paths in our lives. sending love and blessings to you Katie!
