I’d buy the Ray Bans-- these would be GREAT for fishing OR if you got into any kind of freaky confrontation that needed to be recorded-- why do they keep calling that capability “creepy”?? People record stuff all the time on their phones and this is just WaY more convenient than holding a stupid phone in your hands…….
Totally agree, i have no idea why people keep saying creepy. compared to the things people do with phones then using sunglasses would be way more difficult. These glasses could be super useful for loads of things so will definitely be looking to get a pair.
I'm definitely getting the Ray Ban glasses with the camera. I'm currently trying the BOSE Tempo & ALTO, I'm returning and purchasing the RAY BAN. Thank you!
Ray Ban Stories are pretty good. I have been wearing them for a while now. I tried shooting a couple of RUclips episodes using only the Ray Ban and surprised it came out quiet good. Def worth it.
I have both and compared the Ray Bans. Audio from the RB speakers is unbearable, so is it worth it to pay $$ just for on-the-fly media capture? I have a GoPro and Insta360 Go but everyone knows those are cameras whereas this is less conspicuous. So for me, yes it's worth it. The audio from my headphones would switch to the Ray Bans as soon as I turned the glasses on. I learned how to switch the audio back to my headphones while keeping the sunglasses in the on position for capturing videos/photos. Huge. I can also text what I am seeing while on the phone. Keeper.
Google glasses were way too high tech, not fashionable and also expensive. Now they tech history, the early editions ones are starting to be collectors items. But now we’re seeing much sleeker and simpler options like these Bose starting at couple hundred bucks…
I am waiting delivery of my Ray Bans, I currently use Wayfarers prescription glasses and my insurance covered the smart frames so why not? Personally I can’t wait for AR glasses but these are a nice tippy toe into smart glasses to see if there is a real world utility to them.
the raybans look alot more sleek and not noticeable they have built in speakers and tech. bose would win with the sound though... would be perfect for audiobooks on beach walks / hikes / bike rides
I bought the Snap Spectacles when they first came out. They were cool, but I hated the frame design. Used it for like 6 months, then never cared for them again. Butied somewhere in my storage boxes. Now that Ray-Ban has come out with their version, I'm definitely thinking about purchasing one. The Wayfarer style frame is exactly my cup of tea.
The 30 second limit is a deal breaker for me. That would severely limit the practical uses of these. It should be more like 3-5 minutes on the limits, then it could serve as a viable tool for catching content on the fly.
These are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I gotta get the ray ban stories 😤 oh not these in particular when it comes to new tech products I gotta wait for the 2nd maybe 3rd generation cuz I know the difference and upgrades be what the 1st gen should of been great review 👍🏿
I don't think these are creepy! If these had better cameras and you could record for longer I could definitely use these whenever I go fishing! like a GoPro but in your glasses!
I think the creepy factor for me is that if I was talking to a person who was wearing these, I also have a camera pointing at me and I don't know if it's recording me or not. That would make me self conscious and concerned about their motives. Also if that person is just casually looking in the direction of my daughter how do I know they're not recording her? Pervy weirdo glasses
We are recorded 24h/24 by security in buildings, everywhere. People can film you from another condo, a car dash cam. America is the only place where you are not allowed to record a phone conversation with your own phone. Personally I'd like to recap a quick call from or guidance from a friend , I could smell big brother refusing us this liberty. Also America is the only place that tarded millennials or Xers keep saying that a camera on a glass is creepy. Maybe all those people saying that its creepy on Instagram are just bots.
Doing videos with these when working on things and you need both hands would be nice. Until they can record for longer times they're just an expensive toy.
I made a prototype from some Chinese glasses with a camera and I have managed to control them without touching them or saying a single word. What's more, you can look at me with them on and I'll give you $100 if you guess when l'm taking photos or videos of you. I am doing some things to get a superior prototype and launch them on the market through crowdfunding, but I am going slowly since I have never launched any other product. The control system using cephalic-facial gestures can be incorporated into any glasses, including Ray-Ban | Goal. The sensors that I incorporate are 3 and they do not consume any additional energy to function, in addition, I also made a system for them to charge them while you use them without it being noticed and it has turned out as I expected. The glasses still look identical, you don't notice anything additional when you wear them.
I had the Bose Alto and they are very uncomfortable and heavy. The sound is Great. They are also problematic, 3rd pair not able to charge. They no longer make them.
I have to say the bose charge time is horribly incorrect I play music for 10 hours straight on max volume 😅 it dies maybe 20 minutes after work when I walk into the door at home
I have Tenor Frames and they feel like a downgrade compared with Frames 1sh gen (I have those too). Tenor is narrower (143 mm vs 150 mm 1sh gen), so I experience much less comfort wearing them. Bose doesn't have any choice of sizes. Plus, the microphone quality wasn't great on the 1st gen but after some software updates it became okay. Tenor, however, seems to have even worse positioned microphone, so I hardly find it usable.
I do fine capturing all of my creepy footage with the high quality sound & high resolution images & unlimited video available with my phone. Much less conspicuous than overpriced dark sunglasses inside of a building.
My frames have a battery life of just over an hour now, my wife's have totally died. Luckily for her, they were still under warranty so she has a pair of Sopranos on the way. When they work they are great.
What 2 pairs do you have I’m going back and forth between the tenor and tempo. The tenor for looks and all around comfort but the tempo for longer battery life better speakers im going to be driving for 10 hours a day and want to listen to music podcasts and make phone calls just wish I could get the tenors with bigger battery storage I’d be happy I’m also getting transition prescription lenses
@@masonhoward8487 I have the original Alto and I have the tempo The alto are great for sun and are better except I worry they’ll fall off when looking down like they’re heavier and the tempo are real comfortable and I love them , but they lenses are so dark to see out of even in the bright sun I’ve never used them long enough consecutive to run the battery to die
The only reason for hesitation of buying a rayban story is the capacity of memory stick which has only 4 G , I don’t think I can upgrade to bigger ones .
Bro when testing the mic you should have said “one small rep for man, one giant leap for humanity” Sounds exactly as the moon landing recordings So shtty 😂
I owned the Bose glasses for a day before selling them on eBay..if you’re thinking of buying these in place of your earphones forget it in my opinion they’ve got a long way to go
i knew the bose would obviously have the edge on sound but those arms are just horrendous, like they have elephantiasis. Id take rayban cameras and mics with bose sound
Suenan mejor los Bose pero si vives en un lugar caluroso no te duran mas de un año y los Rayban stories no se escuchan tan fuerte pero su garantía es superior y diseño mas pro mas ligeros y ademas las fotos son muy buenas
This product wasn't ready for the consumer market. I'm so surprised by how poor the technology is for these two leading brands to put there name on something. That audio file recording was horrible.
Like any technology today, the technology isn't creepy, it's how we know it'll be used that's creepy, & it's an attempt at normalizing being surveilled at any moment by anyone. Social Credit anyone?

@@TechWeWant Yes they did.
Awesome, that’s a great use case for using the Ray Ban stories! Just watched a couple of your shorts
Do they work with hey google
Where link to the videos you recorded with the Ray’s?
My first video with mine came out good am really enjoying it
Man that old camera so bad
I’m definitely buying the Ray Ban. They look cool
Those Ray Bans gonna come handy in the bedroom 😜
Ayyee ayye
😂😂😂😂 fuck this had me rolling!
😲I didn’t even think about that
30 sec is way too long for me
🤣
These really are the beginning. In time smart glasses will be used for phone/ video calls…. History of technology always repeats itself

Didn't even know smart Glasses were a thing. Whatever happened to google glasses? Interesting review though!
Google glasses were way too high tech, not fashionable and also expensive. Now they tech history, the early editions ones are starting to be collectors items. But now we’re seeing much sleeker and simpler options like these Bose starting at couple hundred bucks…
@@TechWeWant Do either of these collect data for the company and is there a way to opt out?
Honestly the camera on ray bans is a bit creepy :) but it’s a really cool feature.
Bose glasses are still a bit better then ray bans :)
any good sounds regards Bose, i seeing all review but Bose still freeze me to finaliz😊 what would be suggest😊
I’m thinking the Ray-bans would be perfect if you intend to do in-person sales with random people from Facebook marketplace or Craigslist.
Those gon get robbed too
What? Not really.
Concerts maybe but the audio is bad for that
I am waiting delivery of my Ray Bans, I currently use Wayfarers prescription glasses and my insurance covered the smart frames so why not? Personally I can’t wait for AR glasses but these are a nice tippy toe into smart glasses to see if there is a real world utility to them.
Hey Matthew , how are you liking your rayban stories ?
You get them yet? How you like them? What’s your Insurance? How do you like the cameras on them?
If Ray Bans could record for 5 minutes they would be perfect
I think if the battery life was more comparable to the Bose they would be better as well
the raybans look alot more sleek and not noticeable they have built in speakers and tech. bose would win with the sound though... would be perfect for audiobooks on beach walks / hikes / bike rides
I wish the Ray Ban has 8MP camera that shoot 1080p in 16x9 format
I wish someone would come out with "Jawbone" equivalent technology that can truly block out any background noise when having a conversation!
I bought the Snap Spectacles when they first came out. They were cool, but I hated the frame design. Used it for like 6 months, then never cared for them again. Butied somewhere in my storage boxes. Which one you think the best so
Far ? Am going to purchase one
So basically, you're a sucker for hype.
How can I buy snap camera glass from you?
I love my Ray Bans! I love my Bose Stereo. Jonny Weiss “Burning Man.” 🔥 🎶
Have your arms on your ray bans gotten really lose??
Awesome review! How can I put my current prescription lenses in my bose frames tenor? I just ordered some!
I am on my second set of Bose sunglasses, they are awesome 😎
The 30 second limit is a deal breaker for me. That would severely limit the practical uses of these. It should be more like 3-5 minutes on the limits, then it could serve as a viable tool for catching content on the fly.
If Ray-Ban recorded more than 30 seconds it would be great. Especially for RUclips
You do 60 sec now
Great vid.....think I am going to try the Rayban!

My Ray-Bans arrived today. They are perfect!
Awesome! Glad you like them
can i use any of them to replace my visionary glasses with thick lenses???
Can the Raybans capture videos in 3d or VR180 ? Is this the reason for 2 cameras ?
I can see many applications for industry. I think once you will be able to stream to a facetime / zoom call this tech will be more useful.
I'm getting my mustang Mach e and ioniq 5, would be nice to have these to do some FPV comparison videos.
ioniq..oh ,that junk from hyundai
I agree 100% I will be using mine on the go primarily and social media reaction
Are there any sunglasses with cam better than RayBans? That can rec more than 30sec?

Taking measurements from a tape measure while standing 20 ft up a ladder was made much simpler when all I had to do was talk to my glasses.
@@ScampMichael you’re able to activate the camera by talking to it? So you don’t actually have to press anything to begin filming?

Yeah get ready for the meta-verse
I record with these for youtube and unblock drains haha
are the ray ban's discontinued ?
The price?
What if you do not have Facebook? Can u still access the recorded rayban videos?
The audio and mic qualities are too low for me to drop $225 or so. Further- for me, smart glasses will be quite useful when they have AR incorporated.
iwant you to add acamera for produsing high qaulity shots , it can be more mazing.
Wait so you can't record for more than 30 seconds? Please tell me I heard wrong. If not it kinda defeats the purpose of having a camera on them
This is correct! The cameras are not that great they should’ve probably made a pair with just the speakers
Merge the two and you’ve got a winner
The bose only wins in battery life. It's main feature is audio and ray bans are better.
The only reason for hesitation of buying a rayban story is the capacity of memory stick which has only 4 G , I don’t think I can upgrade to bigger ones .
Where do you insert the memory stick? What type of stick it takes ?
@@toronto690 there should be a card slot on the side of the lenses and it is using micro sd cards
What size rayban you got there. I think they come in sizes.
Here's all the exact specs of the ones in the video:
SKU: 601S87 50-22
Frame: Black
Lenses: Dark Grey Classic
Size: Standard
3 hours of music, I would need to but 3 glasses with the ray
I watch your video very much
I see the value of having cameras in your glasses but what is the point of having glasses with just audio..they are useless IMO.
I wish they would make different sizes. Always fits on my white friends head. On mine it’s tiny and the ear groove is by my temple
Ray Ban Stories has 2 sizes - Standard and Large. The ones in this video are the standard size. They also have a fitment guide on their site!
the bosie tempo last the longest out of the 3 glasses it last 8 hours

Agree...there is no bass at all. .it is clear but rather just wear a earpiece
The idea of charging specs when the person is wearing specs 12x7 is a hard sell atm.
Battery life on the Bose is only 3.5 hours continuities listen
3 hours of music for glasses i wear all day? No thank you
Bose speakers and battery life are better than the Ray-Bans
any good sounds regards Bose, i seeing all review but Bose still freeze me to finaliz😊 what would be suggest
Anyone else get turned off right away when hearing the quality of the sound durring the phonecall on the bike?
Bose sounds like Neil Armstrong calling down to from the moon
So decide if the audio is more important than the mic. I’ll wait.
5 megapix is very 2005 tho
No competition there. One with cam & the other doesn’t
Bose🔥
Ray Bans for me, for those times I work in traffic as a flagger!!
