      Thanks very much for the words of advice. I'm in the building Projects phase. I'm using scss and js. Right now i don't know why I should learn react. But can you please do a video about why we need a js framework and a roadmap for each also projects to build as we learn.

    I herd that a lot of companies are looking for junior full stack devs (in the U.S.). I’m thinking should I start applying for front end dev jobs anyways but then also start learning full stack?

    • @lukas.webdev
      @lukas.webdev  Год назад +4

      You're absolutely right, the demand for full stack developers is even higher and yes, imo this is the best way to do it ...
      The journey to become a full stack dev is much longer, so it's a great idea to start as a frontend dev, get a job and then keep learning, to become a full stack dev.
      All the best for your journey! 😉

      IMO PHP is definitely not THE best... but that's actually a pretty big question and I don't think that I can give you a good answer here, without going too much into the details. Maybe I'll create a Backend Roadmap video as well - thanks for the input! 😉

    Thank you so much sir.. ❤. One thing that i can't understand i have completed html and css. Now i am working on some small projects so if now I can learn WordPress. This is better option or not? And why the most of developer not use WordPress according to html, css,Javascript...?

      @lukas.webdev  Год назад

      My pleasure! I’m glad you like it and I appreciate your feedback. 😉
      But I don't really understand your question here ... Do you mean, that so far you've learned HTML + CSS and now you want to continue with WordPress and become a WordPress Developer? 🤔

    • @chzain9390
      @chzain9390 Год назад +1

      @@lukas.webdev yes sir i mean which is better WordPress or Javascript after html&css

    • @lukas.webdev
      @lukas.webdev  Год назад

      @@chzain9390 I think it's better to learn JavaScript as your first real programming language and after that you can decide if you want to continue working with JavaScript and become a Frontend Developer or React Developer or somthing like that or if you want to start learning PHP and become a Wordpress Developer. Since you also need to know the basics of JavaScript as a Wordpress Developer, you won't lose much time.
      But before you decide, make sure that you understand, what a Wordpress Developer really does and make sure that you want to go that path. Hope I could help.😉

    Is frontend the same as web developer?

    • @lukas.webdev
      @lukas.webdev  Год назад +1

      Web developers and frontend developers have a lot of similarities, but they are not the same ...
      E.g. a web developer creates and builds websites from the ground up and is therefore often responsible for both frontend and backend content, while a frontend developer focuses on user experience (UX) and the front-facing parts of websites. So functionality is the main focus of the web developer, while the frontend developer should have graphic design abilities. If you need a more precise answer to your question: There are a few good blog posts out there about this topic, that you can find via Google ... 😉

      Thanks for sharing your story! If you are currently learning the Basics of JavaScript, focus entirely on these topics and after that you can build out projects with HTML + CSS + JS to also refresh your knowledge in HTML and CSS ... If you are not comfortable building projects on your own in the beginning, watch a few well explained tutorials on RUclips and code alongside.
      All the best for your journey! 😉

    • @lukas.webdev

      I’m sorry but I kind of disagree with you about this. In my opinion it's currently really important to learn JavaScript well, because there is so much stuff that is built on top of JS, so if you learn JS well in the beginning you're able to learn all those tools and frameworks from the JS Ecosystem much quicker later on ... 😉

    Thank you for the video. A lot of information plus resources are very helpful. Like some here I have learned HTML&CSS and have been taking my time to learn Javascript. Any tips on how one can stay current or refreshed on previous languages one has learn while learning a new language? Maybe doing projects on the side with the markup languages you have already learned (HTML&CSS) but again time might not allow that since you are also learning another language (Javascript). Apologies for the rambling but I did enjoy this video. Thank you

      Like I said in the video: learn the basics of a new language and then use it in combination with the languages that you already know... So in your case I would focus on the JavaScript Basics for now and after that create some projects in combination with HTML & CSS to refresh ...
      PS: I'll post a video about creating a website with html, css and javascript in the next few weeks - this should be perfect for you... ✌

      Good point, but React has a wider range of use cases, is more versatile, more popular (more job opportunities) and it's also way easier to learn - so I would still start off with React. 😉
