I'm just a humble housewife, but I've been in love with his style since his beginning on Project Runway. I do have several of his purses and I LOVE THEM!!! He's an awesome fashion designer!!!
I think he was the first designer who used models that weren't pencil thin. Some of his creations are a little out there, but most of them are so beautiful.
Oh I just love him 💜 sweet, funny, kind, smart, and so talented. I'm glad the popularity and fame hasn't changed who he is deep down or how he carries himself.
I love Christian Serriano, and am so happy that he has been so successful that he can buy beautiful things for his house which he loves. He deserves everything.
Antiques Roadshow picked the right subject for this one. Christian does not have the heavy baggage of glam-ified image-building that comes with other designer brands. That said, that was a golden banana, not a palm tree.
His home is beautiful in a peaceful setting. The windows are fabulous. I love the white sofa with the ball pillows, so cute! Christian's shop is so adorable. It's so pretty.... I can see myself living inside there! I love that he has all the dresses in his archive and showed them being worn. They really are fabulous, so feminine and colorful! Every girls dream!
I fell in love with Christian when I first noticed him and more with his talent. I always say when I become my success I want to buy a outfit or dress of Christan
CS...I just love him! He is so talented and so comfortable with his talents. He is what it looks like when the artist has the security of knowing they are talented and gifted and dont need to prove it with bravado. Bravo Christian! And dont worry... Those pieces that you may have paid top dollar for will no doubt be worth much much more due to THEIR provenance of being owned by YOU!
What a lovely man and a beautiful home.....ps dresses never suit me I'm a pants and jumper feminine gal however I'm sure this gent could dress me well....I just loved looking at the fabrics in the Archive....😊😊😋
Christian. Research that palm. It could be tens of thousands. Maybe a Mondrian LA hotel piece or similar. I was doing a Hollywood regency place and it’s iconic. Look at 1st Dibs. You’ll see what I mean. Hans Kögl possibly.
I think the appraiser is WAY off. Double or triple the value would not even re-create one of those dresses! Also, an auction estimate is much less than a retail price. Up to 100-200% of what a retail price is, so if a dealer paid 1,000 for something at an auction, it might be priced $2,000-$3,000 in a retail setting.
So, here's something I don't like about Antiques Roadshow: In the case of things like top of the line designer furniture, retail values are almost always higher than auction estimates. To my eye, he didn't overpay on any of those pieces. I don't think Antiques Roadshow does a good job explaining that to people. With things like collectibles, where the primary market is online, the auction estimate is the value. For things like furniture, a retail price is a better valuation, especially if you're talking about replacement values. If you had a fire and had to replace these things, you wouldn't spend years waiting for things to come up at auction. You'd start calling up tippy top of the line showrooms. That's going to be more in the realm of what he paid.
The Vote dress? Yeah, that was so iconic and inspirational. I wonder how many months of thought and agonizing must have went into that? Do youthink maybe three seconds. You mean the clothing is not "fierce".
What designer sells their one of a kind, hand made dresses for double the cost to make a dress? That would never pay the groceries, nevermind the rent, salaries, lifestyle, etc. I bet he is sorry he did this video with this lame appraiser that can't come up with a value.
Sad to see people who can afford the real deal buy reproductions and have them upholstered with fabrics that are so wrong. Tacky and such a waste of good money.
I’m sorry but the insurance appraisal part was absolutely ridiculous 😂🤦🏻♂️ Why would he want to know that? It’s the archive of his own work. He’s literally never going to sell any of it nor has it ever even crossed his mind! Completely pointless, just an excuse to put Christian into the segment and show some beautiful dresses and have the lady « show off » that she can make up an insurance price for a thing.
Totally, having Christian on the show was just an excuse to have Christian on the show. And having the appraiser give appraisals is just an excuse to show the appraiser can give appraisals. And giving insurance values is so silly when they’re items he’s keeping and wants to protect by, for example, insuring them.
It's nice seeing Christian 's success that started from Project Runway so many years ago.

I am so happy for Christian that he made it. I love everything he does. I truly wish him much much more success.

He truly seems like the kindest, wise soul. All blessings and love and light to him.

I love that he is soo down to earth and haven't fall for the Hollywood blinding fake light.
Right..............

Can I just live with Christian. Because not only do I love his dresses but his home is amazing!!
I like he's still the person I remember from PR, but also has clearly massively evolved and grown. Lovely taste.
He has always been so humble. I love him.
Fashion was not my path...it's my hobby

Loved him on PR and I've been cheering on his journey from a distance ever since.... good for him and that beautiful space & collection
I just love everything about Christian. He is a creative dervish, and always real. The design equivalent of Elton John or Gaga. Genius with a ♥️
I fell in love with Christian when I first noticed him and more with his talent. I always say when I become my success I want to buy a outfit or dress of Christan
He's my favorite designer!

Im.in California
A living legend.
I hope whoever that fabulous old lady in Miami is, that she meets Christian. 😁🤭 His inner sense of drive is so admirable. 🌴
Christian is even cuter than when he was on Project Runway!
I love his smile his teeth are so cute 😍. And his attitude. You see him get at the contestants on the new project runway? Fierce!
especially without that dead bird on the back of his head 😭
I saw some of ur creations on the view...today marvelous❤❤❤
the brass "palm" or rather banana tree is from the late 70s and early 80s made in the Philippines.
I work on fashion in my free time
I love this young man he is very talented.
A little attention here
Here’s a cookie 🍪
He’s a genius!!! and seems to be so sweet 🌹
The walnut mid century seating piece w/loose cushions is likely by USA Baumritter. The clue is the ront stretcher 'chevron' apron detail.
I remember him I glad he won
💕🏆so love Christian 💕🌼🍃

Enjoyed you on project runway, glad you no longer have to sleep on your closet door.
And, I think the brass palm tree was made in Korea, circa 60s-70.
Beautiful!
How on earth did they not talk about the eye dress at the entrance?
Wow I remember him from a reality show.

Good

After carefully scrutinizing this video, I’m starting to suspect he may be gay.
style guru????? get real hun.
He has done great. But I hate his clothes.
Horrible across the spectrum , cringe to the max

These dresses remind something that was done from curtains. No elegance.
Those clothes are awful
Why does his hair/appearance look so boring/bad, if he's a designer? Update yourself!
