This is one of the faster Vietnamese soups to make too😩 but you are right.. it has a lot of ingredients and steps😭 you can make this in ~2 hours where as pho or other Vietnamese soups takes 8+ hours🫠
The best part about you is that you’re very entertaining while cooking delicious dishes and provide the complete recipes for them. We don’t have to concentrate too much on the technical part!
I would cry tears of joy if someone prepared something so tasty for me, I wonder what you cook out of love if this is what you cook when you wanna get back at your husband 😂
For wanting to piss off your husband you really put your heart into that meal which I'm sure took no small amount of time. I hope I can have a wife that does this when I make her mad 😂 That's the best scenario honestly. This is what fights look like in non-toxic relationships. I need that
That dish looks delicious. I worked a short while for the Vietnamese woman who owned a small Asian grocery store. One of the things we used to do was go into the Dallas metroplex with a big van and get all of her supplies her rice, her meatsher tofu, her desserts her vegetables. When it was lunchtime, she would take me to a different Vietnamese restaurant and let me try different Vietnamese soups. All of them were delicious.
Oh!!! You know she’s mad (at him) when she didn’t even bring it to him. 😂 Love your videos! Thanks for sharing this recipe! It’s one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. ❤
That looks good and in Burmese cooking we use tamarind paste a lot for soups and curries so surprised to see it come in powder form, this look like a mix of two ethnic dishes. Will try this recipe too, looks super delish

That's what's petty about it. Don't get it twisted.
this is similar to the Filipino soup we call "Sinigang", which is usually tamarind based! we don't put noodles in it though and ours is probably more sour bc we use the whole packet lol
I’m familiar with sinigang but taste is very different mainly because I use that can crab seasoning ! Makes a big ok difference ! Hope you try it! It’s amazing🤩
Your son and my grandson are around the same age and “I’m done pooping” was the thing, but now he’s wiping himself and washing his hands 😂 Your children are adorable 🥰
I strongly identify with your methods for getting back at your husband when he annoys you - I still think about how you bought that $55 can opener from Sur La Table after Andy pissed you off one time. That spoke to my soul 😂💅 Also, I made this bun rieu after your first video where you posted this recipe but mine didn't turn out very good :( It was suuuuper fishy-tasting, which I wasn't expecting even though I KNOW it's a seafood dish. But this looks so good and makes me want to try again! I didn't have tamarind powder last time, maybe that's what's supposed to balance out the fishiness?
