I was literally searching for this pattern ever since i saw it on Pinterest and was about to give up and try to recreate it on my own but THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! IT LOOKS SO ADORABLE!!
Great tutorial! it came out so cute and was really quick to make. I've had this design saved on Pinterest for the longest time and I'm so happy you made a video on how to make it, thank you so much!!
hello! Thank you so much for this tutorial, i'm struggling with the foundation dc... when you instruct "chain 8, and dc from the 3rd st all the way down" is that an alternative for the found-double crochets? Thank you!
Hiya! I just made it to the chain part, started this last night. This is for a size large. If you want it smaller do like 6 instead or size down your needle. So, it may be easier for you to so your chains, then chain 2, do your next row. Then you are going to chain (8 or however many you started with) do a row of Dc on top of that. Chain 3 do a sc in the middle of your dcs chain 3 DC in your end then do foundation chains for that many and that is the end of your first section moving into the bottom of your heart. This is a trust the process type of tutorial. If it says chain then do the DC then do that, I'd you are doing foundations do that. These will flip per side. YOU GOT this! Take it slow and don't be afraid to take it out. It whips up pretty quick!💞
The style of back tie I did is completely optional, for a simpler style I suggest following one from my Swallowtail tops, or free styling one to your liking. The strings I did here, the top can cross over in the back (going over the shoulders first, then going through those side loops) or it can tie behind the neck only, and the bottom string will only go around the back.
As a beginner I would like to suggest not to skip through the whole crocheting 🧶those who want can adjust the setting to forward through it so the rest like me can see each step . I understand what you said but in not that co dude r to repeat row without being guided through them it’s co fusing add you speed through the video a lot and some steps I have to pause to see what you did you forward it so fast 😅. I enjoy your art and live what you make
My tutorials typically aren’t for beginners, they’re more so directed towards “easy” And “intermediate” crocheters, but I’ll definitely take note of this for future uploads 🫶🏽✨! Thank you!
when making the first foundation double crochet I know you put first one in top then 2nd in bottom. Do all the rest go into the bottom or do u continue down side? sorry just a bit confused because my row seems to be curving and yours is straight. thanks also for the video
The ties are really a personal preference, for the one shown it’ll start at each shoulder, cross over one another (around mid back), go into the side holes, then you’ll tie each strap together.
Thank you! 💕 I’m not sure of the exact yardage since this was a skein i already used multiple times, but I know that it was definitely under 300yards used.
this top is so beautiful!! i have a question, in the beginning are you placing the double crochets into the back loop or the top loop of the chain 8? tysm
I usually go through the back bump of the chains (neither of the top two loops), it’s typically called the ‘third loop’. I do this because it gives a cleaner look to me.
When I was selling the pattern NOBODY who said they’ll purchase did, so I stopped selling it and probably won’t sell it again (I was losing money keeping a dead listing up)
The size of the top is dependent on which hook you decide to use, your tension, yarn weight, & the row that you stop adding hearts . This is more of a guide than a direct tutorial for a specific size… I believe I used a 4.5mm (but it’s stated in the video)
Originally I thought this comment was on another video of mine, but for small I would only 3 rows of the heart detailing and for Medium I would do 4 rows of the heart detailing. For both the top will possibly have some stretch, so it may be able to fit the next size up.
I can post pictures to my community tab, it’s just laced up (the same way as my butterfly tops). The type of tie you decide to do is a personal preference.
You can literally slow down RUclips videos and nun of my videos are made for beginners, so they all are ✨do as I say and not do what you you see me do✨. If either was the case, my videos would be way longer.

Loved it. Was easy and clear instructions. One question 🙋🏽♀️ how does the back look?
The back resembles an ‘X’ I may have pictures of it on my Instagram account but it’s been so long I don’t remember if I posted it or not
THIS IS LITERALLY AMAZING OMGGGGG
Thank you!!

I am struggling so hard with the first like 2 minutes of the video but this is so cute and I want to make it for my friend’s birthday

It’s wonderful but i don’t quite understand how to tie it in the back. Can you explain where every string goes?
The style of back tie I did is completely optional, for a simpler style I suggest following one from my Swallowtail tops, or free styling one to your liking.

Hi! Really love your tutorial
I have 32DDD (70G) size. How can I measure the height and the width of this top?

nvm just figured out where I went wrong lol
I still don’t understand it. Can You explain me please?
Thanks for posting 💜💜
No problem 😊💕
The heart part got me shook lol I can’t get it right🥴🤣
really nice I just don't know how to tie it properly on the back?❤
The ties are really a personal preference, for the one shown it’ll start at each shoulder, cross over one another (around mid back), go into the side holes, then you’ll tie each strap together.
This top is so pretty 😍. Pls how much yarn did you use?
Thank you! 💕 I’m not sure of the exact yardage since this was a skein i already used multiple times, but I know that it was definitely under 300yards used.

@@ReeCreationss thank youuu!!! 💓
What brand of yarn did you use for this? I love the color.
This was Red Heart
@@ReeCreationssthank you
thank you so much
You're welcome!
I would have to get the pattern and read then I might can follow better when I play the video. Thanks.
hey can you tell which size yarn and hook you’ve used? and how many grams did you use
I used a 4.5mm hook, weight 4 yarn & under 300grams of yarn for what would be considered a size Large.
is there a written version of this? :)
How do you measure yourself or others, for there sizes.
how much yarn did you end up using?
Do you have a written pattern? I have an easier time following those
When I was selling the pattern NOBODY who said they’ll purchase did, so I stopped selling it and probably won’t sell it again (I was losing money keeping a dead listing up)
Im stuck at 3:45, do we keep double crocheting in the same spot orr? I’m confused where to put the hook to have 7 in total
It’s a foundation double crochet of 7, you don’t work in the same space, you work into the bottom of the previous double crochet (if that makes sense)
To start you’d place your hook into the top of the previous rows dc stitch
I love this. May I ask if 750 yards is adequate for a med/lg in this?
If you’re using weight 4 yarn, that’ll definitely be enough to finish this top.
What size is this supposed to be for?
The one I made can fit my brands medium. But you work the heart rows based on your (or your customer’s) measurements
How much yarn did you use for this top? Great tutorial btw, been searching for this for a long time lol
Less than 600 grams, I don’t know the exact amount but I made a few pieces with this skein and had some left over once I finished this top.
Cool thanks
Hii, is this for a small? As well what hook are you using?
The size of the top is dependent on which hook you decide to use, your tension, yarn weight, & the row that you stop adding hearts . This is more of a guide than a direct tutorial for a specific size… I believe I used a 4.5mm (but it’s stated in the video)
Does the amount or rows you do change based on your chest size or is 14 just a good amount?
The amount of rows is dependent on your chest size, or preferred amount.
@@ReeCreationss ok thank you
🔥🔥
how many grams of yarns did u use? : ))
Is it possible to do the top part of the shirt first then the second?
Yes it’s possible
Thank you and do I have to do something else to connect it?
@supersonickid probably, idk. I didn’t do mine “the other way“
Yass
How do I put it on?
I think I included a clip on how it can be tied at the end, if not message me on Instagram or Facebook and I can send it you you
you can make more croptops
I can… but I don’t feel like recording, editing, or making tops right now.
What size is this
Any size can be made, the exact one I did in the video would fit a L/XL
what size would the top be considered??
The exact one in the video would be considered a Large, but you can make any size you want just do more or less rows of the heart detailing.
@@ReeCreationss you should have say this in the video
@nazik.5933 I’m 1000% sure I did 🙂
@@ReeCreationss oh sorry.. I didnt want to sound like a hater I just couldn't hear it..
Sorry, but can you write down the chart of this? Thank you!
There’s free similar versions of the bottom half already charted. I’m not making a chart unless I decide to sell this pattern.
Can u do small or medium measurements?
Originally I thought this comment was on another video of mine, but for small I would only 3 rows of the heart detailing and for Medium I would do 4 rows of the heart detailing. For both the top will possibly have some stretch, so it may be able to fit the next size up.
how would one adjust this to make it xs?
Since you’re starting from the bottom up, just work the detailing to your desired length, then start to work the solid rows.
18:26
Whats the yarn size
It’s a size 4, acrylic worsted weight
Xin lỗi, tôi không hiểu bạn dùng loại len sợi tên là gì
It’s acrylic yarn from the brand ‘Red Heart’
I was struggling to hear 😢
10:04
hola alguien tiene el patrón de esto?
🥲
We do not see what the back looks like. IJS.
I can post pictures to my community tab, it’s just laced up (the same way as my butterfly tops). The type of tie you decide to do is a personal preference.
So fast
You can turn down the speed within the video settings if it’s too fast for you.
wwww
Thankkk Youuu 🫶🏽✨
I’ll be honest, you were too fast and said a lot of things that we couldn’t see.
You can literally slow down RUclips videos and nun of my videos are made for beginners, so they all are ✨do as I say and not do what you you see me do✨. If either was the case, my videos would be way longer.
This top is so good but you’re going so fast and it’s confusing 🥲 I might have to use another tutorial
Mmmm… interesting.
