Hello from West Fargo North Dakota and thank you for putting out a video on Thanksgiving. This means a lot to many of us and I just want to say I'm thankful that you're putting out videos like this and letting us experience your life. Long live the Tent!
Not really I’ve had to move in back with my dad over his health issues and he will wake me up before he leaves for a doctors appointments or he goes out for the day.
Absolutely love your videos, every time I watch them all I can think to myself is Boy me and my brother need to do something like this up north Adirondacks before my dad gets too old!!! keep them coming love the videos with your father in them
Hey Joe I always enjoy your trips to the tent, just the atmosphere and the things y’all do. We thank you for your pleasant hospitality in sharing this with us! 👏👏👏☺️☺️☺️🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
🤣🤣😂 Had to stop the video when you were feeding the birds… that was so funny. Thanks for getting the bread Joe! You are a good man. (I don’t think I have ever heard a bird cry before. But that one did when he/she thought they were only gonna get dehydrated zucchini!). 🤣🤣👍
Joe, your efforts to keep traditions.alive are awesome. Sad how.traditiins.fade away over.time. I miss.so many of my family traditions.that.are just sweet memories now. :(
I like seeing you clean the whole grouse, I never could understand why others would throw so much meat away. Growing up hunting dove with my dad, he would always pick the whole bird, mama would Cut them in half roll them in flour, brown them, then simmer until tender, that was a good meal. I have never breasted a dove in my life. I really enjoy your videos, yours has to be my favorite.
Well,no Deer this season, bummer.. Already for the winter trip. Got the trees removed, so you can get to the outhouse, that's a very good thing.. Fed the birds, which is awesome. But when I hear the vacuum, it's sad. Stay safe and have a great day.👍🤓👍🤓.Randy.
One got the outhouse a few days after this video finished. It did not ruin it but it did poke holes in the roof. Zach cut that tree up and will have that video coming shortly. Stay tuned.
Wolves have eaten almost all of the deer. Hopefully now with the new administration coming in they will allow wolf hunts again like they did the last time this upcoming administration was in.
Im in indiana and every deer season i watch the tent videos. Pumps me up as a fellow outdoorsman and appreciation for how fortunate we are to live freely in this country. Also love Zachs videos camping and ice fishing...Cool to see different ways of life thru different parts of the country and embrace them to bring us together
Happy Thanksgiving! We have those same birds in the Upper Peninsula In the 70’s through the 90’s we called them Whiskey Jacks, someone told me they were called Gray Jays?
I saw a five inch snow forecast up there. Hope all is well for you. Did you ever think about getting thermal monocular to scan for deer out in the woods? I got one and it helps a lot in locating them in thicker brush and trees. Your dad has a beautiful place.
Howdy Joe, what's your favorite way of preparing Grouse? I'm not sure if I've seen how you cook it. I love your videos and especially the different ways you cook/grill Pork Steaks!
Hmmm I wonder if you ever considered a root cellar for the tent. I don’t know what the water table is there but a big enough insulated cooler just below the frost line with an insulated 2x4 top would keep cans about 40 degrees or so, definitely above freezing. That way you could keep all your canned goods there and keep the oil from freezing solid. Not like you don’t already have enough projects to do haha!
What about a master switch that would cutoff everything. I know it would be costly to install but a couple of high electrical bills would make it justifiable.
Greetings from Northeast Ohio Bread isn’t bad for them per se. It just doesn’t give them any nutritional value. Bread is not going to keep them warm at night. That’s all.
Joe I was just wondering if you have anything recorded of the making of your tent. I just went back to the beginning of your channel over 13 yrs ago and the tents already there. Even some photos would be cool. Still don’t know how the tent has survived so many years. You must have replace the outer canvas at some time and if you have, please send a message as to the video of it. I’ve been watching now for about 5 years. Always fun and interesting. 🤗
Joe I think you need to move on from the tent for future deer hunting. Keep it for a fishing/grouse camp, but move south in Minnesota for better deer hunting. 🤷🏻♂️
Breaks my heart, this is a place of family and tradition, this stuff happens, things change, people change, all in all, it’s still sad, we are in our late 60s, and it’s happening here, I don’t like it. But gotta let change happen. You looked sad, . We love seeing your videos, keep doing what you love. By the way, Mesas baby is beautiful ❤
Long time viewer here. I have a question. I know its pretty remote there but I can't help to wonder have you ever experienced any vandalism or break ins?
I have never had any trouble. Only once like Charlie mentioned, there was some guys breaking into a few places in the area. They were caught the next day and eventually prosecuted.
Lol. I can not say that has ever happened. My days of having a few too many drinks have been gone for quite awhile. A few is fine but I am not willing to ruin the following perfectly beautiful day to have a few too many the night before. Life is too short.
joe you need to find a differnt place to hunt deer i guess between the harsh winters n the wolves has really put a hurtin on them come on down to west virginia we got herds of them everywhere and plenty of black bears
It's amazing how comfortable those birds are eating right out of your hand.
Even your dad's outhouse is adorable and whimsical!
It's a work of art.
@@SuperSlappy25 It really is!

I sure do Love these trips to the tent. I could spend weeks after weeks there!
I love it when you sit and feed the birds seems so relaxing
Anybody else miss Joe saying, "Sarah get up. it's 4:00 am....Sarah get up. It's 4:15am....Sarah get up. It's 4:30 am..."
No she's a grown adult.
That's crazy that hes still has to wake her up.
Not really I’ve had to move in back with my dad over his health issues and he will wake me up before he leaves for a doctors appointments or he goes out for the day.
4am for guys named Joe comes easy 😂 4am wake-up for normal people=sucks
No absolutely not.. It is so infuriating to watch her be so childish..
@@Runenaldo Lol.
Any day is a good day when Joe goes to the tent 😊 Happy thanksgiving to you and Melissa!
Thank you for the Thanksgiving treat Joe. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Absolutely love your videos, every time I watch them all I can think to myself is Boy me and my brother need to do something like this up north Adirondacks before my dad gets too old!!! keep them coming love the videos with your father in them

I live polka music.
Whats up with all the dots?
Looks like you cut your Christmas tree down early!😂 That treetop would make a great Christmas tree!
Even a broken clock is still right twice a day.
My black Labrador was intently watching the scenes with the birds feeding from your hand. As always, love the content.
An honor to be first....looking forward to seeing you at the tent!🥰
Love the content Joe. Stay well brother
Is anyone going to say something about the double hat thing?😂 Sorry, couldn't resist. You're still very cool.
Thanks Joe for bringing us along. I always like the scenes at the tent.
Love the tent! Hello from your friends in Canada
I like seeing you clean the whole grouse, I never could understand why others would throw so much meat away.

Joe is a real man! 'No need to move that bucket of ashes while I start the grill. I'm getting old and need to work on my agility!'🤣🤣
Those birds are just wonderful.
Seems like a good escape.

In my area they are everywhere.
Love this and especially the birds! 😅
Thanks Joe it was interesting to see the start of the cabin, I’ll scroll thru the early episodes to see the add-ons arriving. Thanks again.
Great trip Joe. Hope you make it up again in a few weeks or so. If not we will see you the winter trip.
Happy Thanksgiving
Ha ! a new clock at last , i offered to send you one a few years ago because the second had was stuck :)
Your dads cabin is very cool he did such a great job finishing it
Really enjoyed watching 👍👍
Great job, Joe. Hate to see you closing ⛺️ tent for winter. Safety First Bud.
I was sad 😔, happy a tent video on Thanksgiving day, Joe you made my week. Happy Thanksgiving day to you and Melissa. Have a safe trip home 🏡.
love your videos keeping the tradition alive ❤ your a social historian at this point.. why not x
Great video joe see Jin the winter camp
I enjoyed your video Joe.
Been very lucky to not have a tree destroy the Tent after all these years
One got the outhouse a few days after this video finished. It did not ruin it but it did poke holes in the roof. Zach cut that tree up and will have that video coming shortly. Stay tuned.
Love the Grouse count, tail feathers above the couch!
You have a great set up. I could spend alot of time there. Not sure where all the deer went somthing not right. Happy Thanksgiving
I think he’s stated wolves have been a big reason there’s very little deer around.
Yeah wolves moved into the area and scared them off
Wolves have eaten almost all of the deer. Hopefully now with the new administration coming in they will allow wolf hunts again like they did the last time this upcoming administration was in.
Nice trip to the tent again Joe. sorry about no deer. they need to do something about the wolves. you and the family stay safe and warm.

Good video Joe. Always love you feeding the birds. 🐦 Tell Melissa hi.
Happy Thanksgiving Joe and family
I grew up where the guy who made your wood stove in crown when I lived there in 1962 1963

Stopping at ten after ten. I was always told that when they sold watches the hands were always at ten ten because it was kind of like a smiley face.
Times watched
Timex watches
Love the tent. Joe please tell me what kind of birds your feeding at the tent they're so adorable. 😍😍😍😍😍
Grey Jays I think.

Skipping through the housework sure makes your videos short! lol Nice going!
If you do not skip through, they are longer. Lol.
Excellent
My deer camp went south too. Logging was the issue
Logging will greatly help the area for deer in the coming years. It does not help when they are logging during the season though.
I’m trying to get the Woodshop ready for winter also, here in Mississippi. Running out of time and Money. 😢
👍
What about a master switch that would cutoff everything. I know it would be costly to install but a couple of high electrical bills would make it justifiable.
I’d love to see you season the stove top of the wood stove in the tent.
Looks like a reveal cell cam, if possible in the spring can you let us know how the solar panel worked. Thanks
your the story tell and documented
Peace
The big question..did Sara score a deer I have been hoping she would get one these 5 or 6 years
She did not.
I’m waiting for the deer hunting video everyone else has had them out even the Wisconsin videos are out and we are only mid way through season
This is the second deer video I put up so I do not know what you are talking about.
Greetings from Northeast Ohio Bread isn’t bad for them per se. It just doesn’t give them any nutritional value. Bread is not going to keep them warm at night. That’s all.
Joe, have you asked the loggers if they have been seeing any deer? Figure you might have, but had to ask.

This is how it all started. I was not making RUclips videos back in 2007. ruclips.net/video/gE_sMi3yUJo/видео.html
What kind of birds are they?
Should have kept that top of the 2nd tree for a Christmas tree.
Thursday Nov. 14 was my 77th birthday.
Joe I think you need to move on from the tent for future deer hunting. Keep it for a fishing/grouse camp, but move south in Minnesota for better deer hunting. 🤷🏻♂️
If someone has property I could hunt on I would bring down a camper for second weekend and give it a try next year.
Not using the diesel heaters anymore?
I use them when it gets really cold. We have not had anything that cold yet.
Looks like you have a mosberg patriot, what caliber you shoot? And do you like it?
Joe, what is that stain on the carpet from?
Joe do you know of any deer shot in the vicinity of the tent?
I was fortunate enough to put half a moose in freezer camp this year. Is there any moose draw hunting in that area
No moose hunting for non indian people anymore in Minnesota.
Are your Skechers insulated? Do they keep your feet warm?
Maybe Sarah can make a video of her hunt in central MN? She can wake herself up 😴
Do you ever use the water tank on the wood stove?

Long time viewer here. I have a question. I know its pretty remote there but I can't help to wonder have you ever experienced any vandalism or break ins?
One of his older videos there was people breaking into cabins up there but they left his alone and where finally arrested.
I have never had any trouble. Only once like Charlie mentioned, there was some guys breaking into a few places in the area. They were caught the next day and eventually prosecuted.
a finnish puukko knife!
Do you have any old pictures of you building the Tent you could put up sometime?
The hunters in northern Wisconsin are saying the same thing to many wolves no deer pretty sad .
10:30 You need a big ceiling fan in there !
I try to watch all your videos. I’ve seen some of Zackery’s videos I don’t no why I can’t see them anymore put his channel up so I can se his videos
Is this Minnesota or Wisconsin ¿
Who does the milking while you are tenting ?
His partner Melissa
What are you going to do with the two wall clocks one by the wood stove other one by kitchen part
Joe I have to ask have you ever had a few to many drinks and hit your head on the fan leading to your bedroom?
Lol. I can not say that has ever happened. My days of having a few too many drinks have been gone for quite awhile. A few is fine but I am not willing to ruin the following perfectly beautiful day to have a few too many the night before. Life is too short.
in one of your videos you said that you were going to sell you white truck and get a f350 on ton, did you change your mine ?
Man you used to show your trail cams bear ,deer ,wolf etc. Wow where are they all ?
👍👍👍❤🙋
joe you need to find a differnt place to hunt deer i guess between the harsh winters n the wolves has really put a hurtin on them come on down to west virginia we got herds of them everywhere and plenty of black bears
Anyone know what kind of birds those are? I keep wanting to call them jacks but idk lol
They are Canadian Jays, Also known as Whiskey Jacks
@Sean26385 thanks
When is the last time you shot a deer?
