I can record on the camera but when I up load it its all dark. I have audio but no visual. I have reset but still audio and no visual. Can you help please?
This is an "inexpensive" camera from a company in China so I'm sure there is little to no quality control. The first thing I would do is use my own SD card, that is more than likely the issue. If you do not have another one, pull that one out of the camera use the little adapter and put it in a pc and "format" the memory card. As far as the mobile viewing that one does not have it. You need to find a WiFi version that would allow for you to access the camera with a mobile unit. Hope that helps a little, if not send it back for a replacement.

I wish i could just plug in my card reader to my smartphone and simply display my recordings but it seems i have to use format the sd card with a laptop. Super inconvenient cuz i dont want to purchase a laptop. Button program isn't 100% same with what i just purchased from amazon. It is perfect for clipping to the neck of my t shirt because its small and light weight.

Works pretty good for a wireless camera. I Own a small security and alarm company, if you are looking for a "quick and moveable" device that is hidden this works very well as does the pen. If it is a permanent setup, look at the ring "Stick Up" camera. You do not need a subscription for watching live, only if you want it to record. In that case I think its like 40.00 per year. Better video and audio and they have powered and battery models. This little guy is good for trying to capture something while you are wearing it, or if you just need to clip it somewhere to catch someone or something. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

Mine don't have the 2nd setting (the one to set the resolustion). Do i need to keep setting the time and date before recording? It will not automatically set the time for itself?
May I ask how do you change the Timestamp the first time I followed the instruction and it led me to Note title "setttime" but all of it's content is filled with weird symbols and it may perhaps be encoded through binary data that is beyond to my knowledge it would be awesome if you see my comment

No, the problem with an "inexpensive" camera like that is that you have to be pretty close to capture the audio. Try to just talk into it like a microphone, play it back see if it sounds normal. My experience people that buy these are more interested in just going to the mall or shopping, then go back and overlay the audio on the video so they don't look like they are talking to themselves, although that is pretty common now in these times.

hint: when recording instructional videos like this, it would be extremely helpful to have the windows of interest on the computer files at full screen. seeing the eiffel tower as your background is not helpful having your settings or timeset txt file at full screen would be more relevant also new users might have to create the "settings" txt file on the sd card
This camera is a nightmare to set the timestamp. I am stuck in 2112/04/24. It just keeps changing the time to half-Chinese characters and the time. I carefully went through the instructions like 30 times so far and it will not set the timestamp. It is totally useless if the time can't be set.
I don't know of any way of changing that. It is a pretty inexpensive camera and most of them do not allow for much human input. Most are made in China which uses a 24 hour clock, thus that is how they are made. Thanks for watching sorry can't help more.
It should, mine does. When you set to video it does video and audio. The audio setting just does the audio. I have had mine for almost 2 years they may have made some changes, but I don't think they have. It's a pretty "inexpensive" camera, so usually until they run out, they do not ever make changes.

Just bought one from Amazon based on your vid but have to say it is a bit of a sucky situation that Power on Record seems to falter on yours to power on only, and then to power off after timing out. Hoping for upgraded firmware I guess. Otherwise your peeping at your 'secret spy cam' to see what the lights are telling you!

Not really, it is kind of an "inexpensive camera". Mine usually connects to the pc with no problems, I have a small micro to usb reader, I found it easier to just pop the sd card and put into that for most of these small cameras. Not sure there is much quality control, probably an Alibaba.com $2.00 camera for the sellers. Not much of a help, but again the micro sd reader is my go to.
With this model you have to use a computer. Depending on the phone usually on amazon you can get a micro sd adapter that plugs in the charger port. If you have not got the camera, the smaller ones usually do not have wifi to keep them small. The angle/ field of view isn't great and tends to point upwards. so I generally wear mine low, hooked to my belt where it doesn't draw attention, strictly for a situation such as where there's some type of conflagration or physical altercation and it's my word against theirs. For the light I covered mine with a small piece of black tape with a tiny pin hole towards the back so I can still see the light but it doesn't draw any attention. I wear it always in public and charge it at home and routinely check the card to make sure it's functioning correctly and the lens is clean. In a wost case scenario where either someone has made some type of false allegation or I've had to defend myself against an assailant only for them to lie to the police this will be worth its weight in gold plated diamonds. I would also recommend withholding revealing to police that you have an incident on camera until everyone else has made their statements as a matter of record so that anyone who is untruthful is held accountable for lying.

You can plug the camera into the computer to read the files. I'm not sure if you can do the same with your phone. You would need an phone to SD card adapter. You can remove sd card and insert into phone . Before returning sd card to camera you need to reformat it to ensure the next recording won't corrupt the files.

I can't get the video to play on my tablet.....it says unsupported video code ....
