- I finished up the 2013-2014 rear bumper swap on my 2012 Mustang GT! In addition we went full send and got Borla S-type Quad tip mufflers as well! This is essentially the 2013-2014 Shelby rear end now! And the exhaust note deepened to boot :) Thanks for watching!

Very nice. I've done it twice now. Once on my '11 Shelby with Corsa and today on my '14 GT with 2013-2014 GT500 ACCELATEC 2.5" SS AXLE-BACK EXHAUST KIT W/ 4" POLISHED QUAD TIPS. Same look, less money, good sound. My corsa's are beautiful but too mellow.
Awesome! I’m not familiar with accelatec or the sound. I can’t imagine it’s too different than normal though. I’m guessing your corsas are the sports if you think they are too mellow! 😂

Hey man! Question. I was inspired to do this exact set up on my 2013 mustang Gt from watching your video. Only problem I have is I can not for the life of me find those Borla S types on American muscle or the borla website. Where did you get them? Did you just add a 2018 mustang gt muffler to your car or is it specifically for 2011-2014 gts?
They are specifically for the 2013/2014 Shelby GT500 but bolt right up to any 11-14 car with room for the quad tips (i.e. the Shelby rear valance) but the only problem is I’ve heard that they are discontinued from Borla. So your best bet would be to find a used set or a company that maybe has some left over stock.
Ever think on changing the front end to the 2013-14 front end, like the bumper and hood?
I have thought about changing it but not to a 13/14 front end. The videos of my new hood etc are actually dropping in about a week so stay tuned! 😉

Hey man I have a 2012 GT and I'm literally trying to do the same thing. Where do I find the styrofoam peice at. I already have my support brackets.
Any OEM ford parts website would be a good place to start. Or you could shoot a message over to Devin Hyde or Go Hyde Racing (he works as a ford parts dealer) and he can get you what you need 👍🏻
So you just need a 13-14 bumper, the brackets and the middle styrofoam piece? & also does your car have 19’s or 20 wheels?
Yep that’s pretty much it! The plastic insert pieces for the bumper will be needed if you buy new, but used is the way to go if you can find a good one and bonus in the right color. I run 20s on the street for my car 🤘
Hey man I’m wanting to do this if you have the back up sensors do they line up?
Unfortunately I don’t have the back up sensors so I can’t really give you much input on those. I would think if you pull them from the old bumper they could swap over to the new one just fine as long as you drill the holes necessary to swap them.

@@Jailbreakgaming1234 I bought everything, taillights included, from a guy who was parting out a wrecked car so I picked it all up for $700 then another $200 for the valance. Bought and sold the mufflers for the same amounts so that was an even wash. All in at $900 I believe? Before selling old parts! :)

Yeah, I would just swap the taillights with them, the foam support, and the brackets that go right underneath them.

Thank you! I went borla for two reasons. I like their sound better and to be a little different cause everyone gets corsas! But they do look awesome with the angle tips all flushed up to the valance for sure! Good luck with your search 👍🏻

where did you purchase the pieces and bumper
Bought everything from a wrecked car and the bumper cover off of eBay from a company out in like Michigan or something.
Did you get the bumper painted ??? And how did you get that valance on ?? I wanna swap my bumper for a 2013-2014
I didn’t get it painted I actually found it in the right color so I can just paint it later on. Getting the valence on is a matter of cutting the bumper and tab holes then just popping in place!
PokeMasterBS how much bolts and clips and etc did you use from your old bumper and the parts from it to use for the new ones
@@nickbonamase3433 There was two different brackets on the side where the bumer mounts that are reuseable and everything else needs to but updated to 13-14 spec. Bolts are all the same across both platforms.
PokeMasterBS my bumper is getting pained and put together so I can reuse the two side brackets on my car or do I have to upgrade those ??

What tool did you use to cut the bumper
Hack saw for big pieces with easy angles and a dremel for smaller tighter fit parts.
Whats the part number for the side brackets?
Should be able to google it or find it on a ford oem parts site.
Can I get away with cs rear valance?
When doing quads? No I don’t think so unless you did some like custom small tips or something but that wouldn’t look as good. If you have a 13-14 the bumper should already be cut for the quad valance though so you just need to swap them. Absolutely worth it and it sounds like the hard part is already done for you
What exhaust set up is that
In this video it was BBK longtube headers, BBK off-road x-pipe, Borla over axle pipes, and then the Borla S-type quads.

Well Borla for one. Lol but a few different online retailers. I like Lethal performance for a lot of aftermarket stuff 👍🏻

Too bad the bumper doesn't match the car....the rest of the car has the black plastic running down the side where as your new one doesn't. Easiest was to fix that would be to do install the newer rocker covers to match.

Quad tips really only look good on Corvettes.
Agree to disagree 🤷♂️ I think they look great on the mustang, when done nicely and with an OEM fitment.
