I’m trying your recipe tonight. Hopefully, I typed up the ingredients and instructions correctly. If you see any mistakes, will you please let me know. I’m so excited to make salmon for the first time and using your delicious looking recipe. You have blessed us with your kindness and sharing. Orange Bourbon Salmon Salmon Filet Seasoning 1 1/2 lb. of salmon ( each piece weighs about 4 ounces) 1 tsp. Olive oil 1 tsp. Paprika 1/2 tsp. Brown sugar 1 tsp. Salt 1 tsp. Onion Powder 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper 2 tsp. Olive oil ( for later) Orange slices for Garnish Parsley for Garnish Sauce 2 tsp. Freshly minced ginger 1 1/2 TBSP. Soy Sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey Instructions: Make the sauce and set to the side. Prepare you salmon by first brushing with olive oil.Mix the seasoning and sprinkle on both sides. Now, let the salmon sit for a little bit to marinate while you prepare your sides. Put some olive oil in the pan you’ll be cooking your salmon in and add the butter. Some light browning will occur with the butter and olive oil. Lay your filets in the pan skin side down. Cook the skin side down first then flip and let cook for a few minutes then add the garlic and ginger. Remove the salmon filets from the pan and sit aside. Once you remove the salmon add your ingredients for the sauce to the pan. Allow the sauce ingredients to simmer until it gets to a nice glossy syrup consistency. (*While the sauce is simmering, it’s a good time to work on your side dishes) Add the salmon to the sauce that was simmering. For about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes scoop up the sauce and drizzle it over the salmon. The first time with the down side of the salmon being cooked did most of the cooking. Spooning the sauce over the filets will finish the cooking. Garnish with your orange slice and parsley while still in the pan and then serve. Once you remove the salmon add your ingredients for the sauce to the pan. I made it tonight and it was a hit. It’s so delicious. 😋 Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes. I’m looking forward to trying more. I did make a correction in what I typed up. I didn’t type to only cook for 5 minutes on the skin side then remove. Thankfully, I watched your video again. I’ve watched it three times….lol ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your recipes and cooking talent. I’ve never cooked salmon . I’m looking forward to trying this. My hubby is going to love seeing me cooking salmon. ❤❤
@@JerenesEats I’ve been watching your videos and have found several recipes I’m going to try. I subscribed so I won’t miss any you share. Thank you for making all of your fantastic and very well done videos. Have a blessing filled day. ❤️❤️❤️
I recommend using any bourbon/bourbon whiskey you are familiar with. You can use Jim Bean Old Tub or Larceny, but Jack Daniels is a good substitute. Some whiskeys like Canadian club can be used. If you're in Canada, I recommend asking an expert at the LCBO liquor store.
Hey Pat😁 I've had complaints about putting it in the video instead of in the description box. So...I put it in the description box, because ppl said they'd like to see a LIST rather than fast forward and replay to make their grocery list. Can't please everyone Pat 🤷🏾♀️ 🤷🏾♀️ Can't please everyone.
Please click the word "more" located below the video title to see details in the description box
Sorry but I still can’t see a list of ingredients I guess I don’t know how to use the internet.
