i thought the audio was bad because they were doing multiplayer and were in different locations using ingame chat.... but no, it's just bad for no reason lol
while i agree that it would've been better without it, i really dig how co op was handled in this, with one player seeing hallucinating and wasting ammo on things that aren't there
Yeah, I remember one part where player 2 goes into a complete trance and has to fight off imaginary monsters while player 1 protects him by themselves.
It's explained that because Issac has already dealt with his issues in Dead Space 2 that he is less prone to having the hallucinations. Carter having not gone through such horrors like Issac, is subsceptable to them.
yeah, the game has sequences where co-op man is experiencing the effects of a marker for the first time and starts attacking shit that isnt real and basically has the whole dead space one expirience
8:01 - "This just makes me wanna play Dead Space 2 again." "Yeah... We're never gonna do that." "Never." One year later... They're playing Dead Space 2.
The crazy thing about necromorphs is that they DONT die. when a necromorph loses all of its 'weapons' it has to even hurt a living thing, it just stops moving. if someone went up to a 'dead' necromorph and stuffed a piece of rebar into its shoulder, it would use what muscles it could to swing that rebar around and go back to killing.
***** I know you're trolling friend but DS2 Ellie ***SPOILERS*** Shurgs off a horrific eye wound Commands a giant drill tank Saves Issacs ass at the end of the game ***SPOILERS*** Meanwhile DS3 Ellie is just a pair of tits with an objective marker on her. One of many seemingly useless survivors that Issac has to protect. I don't ever even recall her even holding a gun in DS3 despite the constant danger of their surroundings.
There is one thing and one thing only that this game did that was excellent... and that was the co-op specific missions. There are elements in those missions that expose player 2 to COMPLETELY different things than player 1.The idea is that the co-op missions are about Carter's -red armor man- story and him going crazy. Excellent examples of this involve an audio log that plays that is of Carter makig a suicide note and his wife walking in on him while he's doing it. Player 2 can hear it but all Player 1 can hear is insane laughing from the log. Others are models like a birthday cake with candles in a room that P2 sees is a mass of heads with spikes in it on P1's screen. And a scenario where P2 is fighting Necromorpha in their mind while P1 watches them shoot at nothing.
Dead space 3 multiplayer did some interesting stuff with one player seeing scary shit while the other player sees nothing, making it seem in the other guy is messing with you.
It could be but I found it got tired really quick. The whole notion seemed tacked on. Co-op in single player is actually a better idea to me. Even if it breaks some of the immersion.
It was really fun! Do you remember the Viral Suits? They'd be custom colors and designs, and it would start off with only the devs wearing them. When a player killed the dev, they unlocked the suit. Then, if that player wore the suit and another person killed them, that other player would unlock it. And that Suit design would spread, like a virus! Still one of my favorite ways to unlock appearances. And the multiplayer itself was really fun, playing as a necromorph and trying to ambush the players, then raging when they use Stasis on you. Good times.
Don't try to say that though. You'll be crucified for thinking a completely optional, separate from the main game, feature is cool because it's not as scary.
One thing I did like about this game is that by the end, Isaac basically goes "Yeah lemme guess its broken and I gotta go track down some crap to fix it right?" every single time something is broken.
I don't know if this was intentional, but the audio reminds me a lot of their early LPs, specifically the one where they played the original Dead Space the first time, and Matt had fun with his rave lights going "weeooweeoo". Maybe they purposely recreated that audio quality to appeal to a sense of nostalgia? It would be cool if they did, but again, I'm not sure.
+AFPgamer Yeah, but so far we've only had one scary game and, like... I don't know, what day is it? The 10th? 12th? Whatever, we've had like a 10:1 ratio of shitty to scary so far.
It's horror themed games. People keep complaining about this shit, but how many horror games are actually scary? You can count them with one hand. And I don't know about you but my hand doesn't have 31 fingers, so you gotta fill the rest of the month with something.
So they don't count those one things as necromorphs even though they act nearly exactly like them right down to still charging you when you blow off their head... And they're complaining about things they're kind of wrong about. They went into this trying to not like it.
I know its not seen as a good game in the DS series, but at that point they're just really going out of their way to find every possible detail in the game that "isn't Dead Space".
Yeah, sometimes they get a bit too salty for my taste, I love them but Matt and particularly Pat sometimes border on being in serious butt hurt, salty territory.
Here I am almost two years later after their fall. Re watching all of their shitstorms remembering why I used to love the month of October. Hoping and praying that one day Matt, Pat and Woolie as well as Liam would return again to brings back SUPER BEST FRIENDS PLAY! Miss you guys, Thanks for the laughs, the good times and the memories such as the wonderful series that was the Shitstorms.
+Myakot Also, Just because you didn't like the new kind of gameplay doesn't make it garbage. What ACTUALLY makes it garbage, not just that you don't like that they changed things.
Considering the shooting humans sections are generally breaking up long strings of fighting monsters, and they're fairly brief excepting the opening scene. I like Dead Space 3. The microtransactions are shitty, but the game is good.
This games co-op is probably one of the best co-op experiences I have ever played with the other player seeing stuff that isn't there for you making you actually think they're crazy.
I actually really like parts of Dead Space 3, (especially the dlc) and really wish they'd make another one. Still, Matt+Pat bring up some great points.
Agreed, there are negative points to it, and it still ranks lowest of the three. But the biggest complaint is that it's not the same genre as the first two. Just like RE5, as a standalone game it's pretty good.
As a huge Dead Space fan I could only approve of a DS4 if it retcon most of DS3 (or all of DS3, please god let them retcon the whole game), they added too much stuff that shat all over the lore. If you don't retcon DS3 then the Necromorphs are 90% the same as the Halo Flood-Hivemind, they can talk, they can use guns, they can use spaceships and are just as un-scary as the Flood. Also, since the DS3-DLC had the Necromorphs invading earth it's now a war, nobody can say "what are these things?" or "How do we kill these things?" without somebody mentioning the dumb earth war. So DS3 has made it impossible to make a Survival Horror game without some retconning, just more action game schlock. I'm not even sure I how I feel about the aliens other then Necromorphs that DS3 added, so fuck even talking about that topic.
The first half of Dead Space 3 was a rollercoaster ride in Space, was really good (yes even the intro) its the second half on the planet when it really starts to fall apart... (turns into a dungeon crawler like Dead Space 1) Still even with all its flaws one of the only truly epic good trilogy enders last gen. (rest of the trilogies the second one was clearly the best and the third one was just straight trash unlike DS3 even tho many people would disagree and think DS3 is one of the worst who prob never even finished it)
I agree with you, but there are 2 parts on the planet that I absolutely love: the co-op missions from Carver's perspective (the ones that actually explain his backstory and have carver-specific hallucinations) and everything having to do with the aliens and alien city stuff. Admittedly, the alien city could have been shorter, but I can forgive it because of how much I love the Dead Space art direction. DS3 is still the weakest in the series from a survival horror standpoint, and Danik is definitely the worst antagonist, but I like the lore that DS3 adds (did anybody notice that the unitology masks in DS2 look like the alien's faces in 3?) The Moons invading earth doesn't bother me--but it would mean that earth would have to be completely FUCKED in DS4 for there to be any believable threat.
So I played a good deal of Dead Space 2 at my cousin's back in the days. I'm really not one to get jumpscare easily, and my cousin was finding it hilarious how I managed to keep a mostly unfazed in most of the game. But that fucking sun... Nearly hit the ceiling.
I loved DS a and DS 2, but I couldn't even finish DS3 because, jesus christ. Thanks for the petty love triangle drama too, DS3, that makes eeeeeverything much better in horror.
Ugh that love triangle, thats why DS2 ending is my head cannon happy ending. And not only that but they also manage to fuck up Ellie's design in DS3, just like everything else.
TheRandomLetsPlays I definitely agree. I understand throwing in some shitty games (it's shitstorm afterall) but there are plenty of great horror games that they could be playing. And they just aren't.
I remember beating this game with the meanest weapon I could possibly create. Imagine a triple barreled machine gun with acid bullets and an incendiary grenade launcher attached.
Fuck me I guess, but I loved the DEAD SPACE series. Even 3, but I guess because of my stupid love for weapon customization and shit putting things together along with the lore. It was so fun for me, I felt bad hearing that a lot of people saying they hated the 3rd one.
considering i always felt Dead Space was more action than horror Dead Space 3s change never bothered me. i was just disappointed i never got to play it with my friend since it wasn't couch co-op.
Mother Rinko Dead Space 3 was alright in my book, however the Awakened DLC was the true survival horror that i loved experiencing. now to me, the fear factor was dumbed down because i was extremely OP with my planet busting tools, therefore i showed no fear. i guess if the weapon customization was removed, then the entire game would have been truly horrifying since you'd be restricted with only the tools you can afford. in fact, there's a classic mode; where you can't customize your weapons and you are restricted with the classic weapons only. i love that option, because it brings back the way Dead Space must and should be played as; no Gears of War OP bullshit guns, just you and your plasma cutter against an army of Necromorphs.
This was the Dead Space game David Cage was called in to work on. When asked his opinion on how to to make a good horror game he said and I quote " To make it really scary you must make it really bright and be able to play with a friend, also add in crafting elements too". DAVID CAGE RUINS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell me exactly where the game forced you to do co-op? Does the game just lock you out if you want to play by yourself? What about the classic gamemode where co-op is off, Weapon crafting is off (you can only make weapons from previous games), and dynamic aiming sights is on?
Still has humomorph combat. And micro transactions. And band wagon crafting systems. Like Pat said, it has really cool stuff that would make it good, but then has the all these negatives to balance it back out to garbage.
Except the game has whole sections of gameplay that are totally co-op exclusive, with big doors that say "Fuck off, you need a co-op player to enter this door" Also the Classic mode isn't balanced and the classic weapons are NOT viable (meaning not fun), as somebody who 100% both DS1 and DS2 I can firmly say the weapons in DS3 are pointlessly garbage in comparison to the previous games. If it isn't a full auto weapon with a knockback sidearm then you experience a 150% increase in game difficulty so there's only one viable weapon build in the whole game... and then what's the point of making a side arm? It'll still use the same ammo as your other gun and have shit stats. The DS3 weapon system is complete trash, the co-op exclusive story is also trash. Also Classic Mode is a NewGame+ only feature I think.
RisusMalum My safe full of badass shotgun/rippers and rocket launcher/hydrolic fist guns begs to differ. I ended up disassembling my plasma cutter to make a double-bouncing bola.
I actually preferred the first one. The setting felt more cohesive and grounded in away that was relatable. At times it reminded me of a videogame Event horizon. The ship felt like a functional, real place that had had something chaotic occur. I enjoyed and played through 2 and it had its moments and controlled great but at times it was very segmented feeling like, ok time for the school level, time for the X level, time for the Y level. At times it felt like the original game but at others it felt like nonsensical things were stuffed into your path so you can do something edgy or shocking. I also feel like 2 started down the road that led to some of the downsides of 3. I don't think they were overtly damaging in 2 but you started to see more standard weaponry like rapid fire military weapons being more useful and stuff like the competitive multiplayer don't really feel like they fit in with a horror game. It felt like a very slight drift away from a 3rd person horror game to a straight up 3rd person shooter which was much more noticeable in 3. Still both 1 and 2 are great games. Never played 3 much.
R0B1NG5 I agree, 1 was my favourite. Another reason I love it was Isaac was a silent protagonist so it was easier to act as a self insert to immerse yourself.
LittleMountain90 the audio is a little off but most likely due to the issues they brought up at the beginning of the video when they said the game didn't want to record so they probably had tech issues. Their complaints are justified in my opinion though.
As do I, now think about this. We'll probably NEVER get another Dead Space game because of people like this that bitched about the game before even getting to the good part. How does that make you feel? It makes me feel like shit.
They constantly filter the audio through Woolie's dreads, warping what we hear to his advantage. In reality, Matt is a genius, Pat is super happy, and Liam is old.
This game was a 5 or 6 out of 10, but god damn I wanted a full game of floating around a spaceship junkyard, those parts were fucking amazingly cool and atmospheric and fun to explore. Was super pissed when you land on planet bumblefuck and there's no more zero g mechanics. I felt DS1/2's biggest trump over RE4's combat was being able to fight in zero gravity which was a total blast and made the combat really interesting.
One thing every single person overlooks and never even mentions is that the colony in the beginning of DS 3 obviously reached convergence when they left. That is how the Brethern Moon found the freaking Earth!
Always love these unbiased look into a game they never really played and were able to see the actually needed plot information and unique and interesting ADDITION not replacement monster designs.
FYI guys the channel must be dying because "Matt and Pat" are playing dead space 2 on the channel right now. I hope they do a full LP of dead space 1 and 3 in near future.
Pat won the bet. The "zombies" at the beginning section ARE necromorphs. Necromorphs are "mutated and reanimated corpses, reshaped into horrific new forms by a recombinant extraterrestrial "infection"." Dead Space wikia. They're just shiting on the game because it's not like the better two. Old school TBFP style.
I agree. DS3 isn't so bad. They haven't finished the game, but they probably spent a lot of time reading melodramatic Reddit threads and started hating it before they started playing. The storytelling in DS3 is quite bad, though. The game breaks its own rules so many times for the purpose of spilling plot all over the player. The guy taking his helmet off on Tau Volantis makes zero sense, except to reveal to the player that he isn't Isaac. Danik giving you a marker test lab lesson right after he says he intends for you to be dead in minutes is nonsense, except it tells the player why what's about to happen is about to happen. Hearing Danik's orders through Isaac's comms on the train makes no sense, except to tell the player that they need to hurry up because the train is going to be scrap in a few seconds. And the love triangle. That love triangle has marketing stink all over it. Who ever thought that Dead Space needed a love story? Isaac/Nicole was a horror love story. Ellie/Isaac/Norton is soap opera baloney. But, the environments, enemies, gameplay and what the game adds to the core lore are all pretty cool in DS3. This is the game that made Dead Space into Mass Effect, but at least it's still a horror-themed Mass Effect.
visceral is not doing call of duty guys, they made battlefield: hardline and it was disappointing. as far as i know they arent doing shit else right now
They've been doing that Star wars game for like five years now! And the creative director of Visceral totally left so there's even LESS of a chance Dead Space 4 will ever be a thing.
Normally, they're just being dicks for fun which I love but this... holy shit, game ruined by having any semi normal human enemies in the first five minutes of the game. FUCK OFF PAT!!! As far as I could tell the games a 7.5. The lowest of the series but still not bad.
I played the whole thing and still thought it sucked. There were some cool parts like the hallucination stuff in co-op and some of the environments but the story was lame, most of the enemies were boring, the set pieces were predictable, and all the characters besides Isaac were forgettable as fuck. Most of you dudes are acting just as salty as them. There are perfectly valid reasons to be extremely annoyed by this game.
It ain't a Shitstorm until there's an episode with shitty audio
Expect no less from the SubPar Best Friends Zaibatsu!
i thought the audio was bad because they were doing multiplayer and were in different locations using ingame chat.... but no, it's just bad for no reason lol
My headset is so good that it picks up every high-pitched click and snap and it fucking hurts to listen to.
they forgot the subtitles
It's what this game deserves...
The only spooky thing about this video is the audio, AMIRIGHT? UP TOP!
HA! *Got eeeeeeem!*
You're not wrong.
*high fives* Yo, u rite
Hey fellow fuckers, who else would kill to see a full LP on the Co-Op mode of this?
Yuudai Hell yeah!
Godlike idea. Now they can redeem themselves for that Megaman LP
How about they play a good game instead?
that'd be hype
+MDKcde Are you implying bad games don't make some of the best videos?
Here we are, Dead Space 3, fighting things that aren't dead not in space.
Living Earth
Dead Space Survive
Technically, we're always in space.
We're all in space.
I guess our definition of alive varies here lol
while i agree that it would've been better without it, i really dig how co op was handled in this, with one player seeing hallucinating and wasting ammo on things that aren't there
I didn't even know that shit happens. That's pretty cool.

yeah, the game has sequences where co-op man is experiencing the effects of a marker for the first time and starts attacking shit that isnt real and basically has the whole dead space one expirience
8:01 - "This just makes me wanna play Dead Space 2 again."
"Yeah... We're never gonna do that."
"Never."
One year later...
They're playing Dead Space 2.
But they're never, ever doing it again.
@@paynexkiller That still stings. "In case of bad channel, break glass, play Dead Space 2."
Two years later...
They're not friends anymore.🙂
The crazy thing about necromorphs is that they DONT die. when a necromorph loses all of its 'weapons' it has to even hurt a living thing, it just stops moving. if someone went up to a 'dead' necromorph and stuffed a piece of rebar into its shoulder, it would use what muscles it could to swing that rebar around and go back to killing.
Too bad they didn't get to the scariest part of the game where they turn an interesting badass character from DS2 into a damsel in distress.
Uuhhhhgggh. That's right. That was so bad. They even manage to jam a love triangle down her throat and everything.
Yeah they totally tarnished we image

Except when she wasn't a damsel in distress. But oh, I forgot, you didn't play that far.
I actually like that Isaac has his plasma cutter in his house. Like he absolutely would keep that thing as close to himself as possible.
Not even a year passed before the "In case of bad channel, break glass" case was broken
I... uh, yeah I got nothing. Sorry guys. I let you all down.
don't believe in yourself. believe in the me who believes in you(the second half of that show is garbage)
You let me down man, I feel like curling up into a ball now.
Its fine.

How is everyone doing, I had some great wings for dinner and are ready for a shitstorm in 2 different ways.
TroopperFoFo Nice dude
If you need to hurry to a toilet, just remember that Pat's got your back
Hell, the entirety of Woolie's apartment would suffice!
My stomach has *no weakness*
TroopperFoFo damn dude, I can use some Wings and Ribs right about now. But aside from that, I'm doing pretty good. Thanks for asking.
Who else saw them accidentally upload a shitstorm at 1 pm this morning?! 😎😎😎😎✌
Colton Allgire 1 pm this morning? Is this a troll or did you fuck up?
Kirito no, somebody fucked up and uploaded one at 1 and immediately took it down

ghostfear2011 Well that's good to hear.
Michael Murphy They went in hating this game is what happened here. The start of the game is literally the longest time you fight humans.
***** Good because I just wanna shoot and hack off the limbs of deformed walking corspes. Human enemies get really boring quick.
Michael Murphy It's only at very specific points where the plot requires it. Also Pat got A LOT of the game's story wrong in this game.

Them making jokes about never playing dead space 2 while actually playing dead space 2 right now is fucked up.
Full LP! Full LP!
Oh, I thought they were gonna coop the game.
I'd agree with you but the whole LP would be them shitting on the game probably.
this is why I want a full LP
Full Co Op LP I want to see Pat (Isacc) make fun at Matt (John) while playing
This videos description is pure gold, I stand up and applaud whoever is responsible for such a marvelous piece.
One thing I did like about this game is that by the end, Isaac basically goes "Yeah lemme guess its broken and I gotta go track down some crap to fix it right?" every single time something is broken.
8:02 -8:06 The boys say they will never play Dead Space 2 again... until August 30th, 2017...
Why do they always have a random video with trash audio xP?
Because it is a trash game
Wildly fluctuating audio quality has been a staple of this stable for years. FOR FUCKING YEARS! HOW. GOD. DAMN. DARE. YOU.
It would be cool if they did, but again, I'm not sure.
cuz it's not TBFP if there is not videos with shit-tier bad audio
I honestly thought they were playing co op and recording across some kind of mic
Is this the ironic shitstorm where you don't play scary games? It's starting to feel that way.
Background Character well part of the shitstorm is scary games, the other part is shitty games.
+AFPgamer Yeah, but so far we've only had one scary game and, like... I don't know, what day is it? The 10th? 12th? Whatever, we've had like a 10:1 ratio of shitty to scary so far.

There's been plenty of scary games, just look at the past four years of these videos.
...maybe they finally ran out of scary games?
So they don't count those one things as necromorphs even though they act nearly exactly like them right down to still charging you when you blow off their head...
And they're complaining about things they're kind of wrong about. They went into this trying to not like it.
Also, they sprout tentacles.

I agree with everything they said. DeadSpace 3's mother cheated with CoD, just as Fallout3-4's mother cheated with a garbage dump.
Myakot I'll agree with you on 4 but fallout 3? Dude that game was fantastic.
That game wasn't Fallout. It was Nuclear Scrolls 5: no story edition
+Myakot Franchises shift genres sometimes. Also, Fallout 3 had plenty of story.
+Myakot Also, Just because you didn't like the new kind of gameplay doesn't make it garbage. What ACTUALLY makes it garbage, not just that you don't like that they changed things.
The scariest part about this video is the audio quality.
Considering the shooting humans sections are generally breaking up long strings of fighting monsters, and they're fairly brief excepting the opening scene. I like Dead Space 3. The microtransactions are shitty, but the game is good.
The microtransactions are barely there and trivially easy to get with in-game currency.

wow with that audio this truly is a shitstorm

So DS3 has made it impossible to make a Survival Horror game without some retconning, just more action game schlock.
I'm not even sure I how I feel about the aliens other then Necromorphs that DS3 added, so fuck even talking about that topic.
The first half of Dead Space 3 was a rollercoaster ride in Space, was really good (yes even the intro)
its the second half on the planet when it really starts to fall apart...
(turns into a dungeon crawler like Dead Space 1)
Still even with all its flaws one of the only truly epic good trilogy enders last gen.
DS3 is still the weakest in the series from a survival horror standpoint, and Danik is definitely the worst antagonist, but I like the lore that DS3 adds (did anybody notice that the unitology masks in DS2 look like the alien's faces in 3?)
The Moons invading earth doesn't bother me--but it would mean that earth would have to be completely FUCKED in DS4 for there to be any believable threat.
All I want for Christmas is a Deadspace 1 LP.
Our salt aside, I'd love to see you guys play through Dead Space 1. Or 2. *A*
Ugh that love triangle, thats why DS2 ending is my head cannon happy ending. And not only that but they also manage to fuck up Ellie's design in DS3, just like everything else.
I was thinking about Dead Space 3 earlier today and then THIS happens!! :D
I'd get a dreamcatcher. I heard it prevents nightmares.
Super Buu furiously crotch chopping I really wished you said dreamcast
calvin wiegreff Anything for you, baby.
Then this shit happens!
MChill Ah it wasn't THAT bad. Not as good as DS1+2 but worth a playthrough.
This Shitstorm needs to step it up.
They had a really strong start with Anatomy but then its been going on a downhill cycle very fast.
TheRandomLetsPlays I definitely agree. I understand throwing in some shitty games (it's shitstorm afterall) but there are plenty of great horror games that they could be playing. And they just aren't.
I mean i like the video, but i would like to see them play some actual horror games and see Pat be a huge coward.
I know right? I like me some unpredicatable indie horror games, they make for the most fun LPs.
The Alien Isolation DLC is the only one that really got me with its scares.
FatalYaoi What other great horror games are out there? Not trying to argue I'm just kinda curious.
I am a huge Legacy of Kain fan and I esp love simon and tony jay (rip) I love you guys for knowing it
Same here, Legacy of Kain was amazing, I hope they play defiance one day. Also, nice avatar, Shiki Loli is best loli.
wait i thought shitstorm was for scary games
I remember beating this game with the meanest weapon I could possibly create. Imagine a triple barreled machine gun with acid bullets and an incendiary grenade launcher attached.
Fuck me I guess, but I loved the DEAD SPACE series. Even 3, but I guess because of my stupid love for weapon customization and shit putting things together along with the lore. It was so fun for me, I felt bad hearing that a lot of people saying they hated the 3rd one.
A lot of people hated RE5 as well, but they are both solid games. They just don't fit their genre at all.
considering i always felt Dead Space was more action than horror Dead Space 3s change never bothered me. i was just disappointed i never got to play it with my friend since it wasn't couch co-op.
Nemesis Kind of like how Bethshitda's Fallout doesn't fit with Obsidian fallout becuase they took the RP OUT OF THE G
MasterJunior93 I got the DLC and did my run through with Classic mode, that made a bit of a difference since my weapons were just genocide tools.
the real shitstorm is the fucked up video schedule we made along the way
8:02: "This is just making me want to play Dead Space 2 again" "Yeah, we're never gonna do that." "NEVER."
The co-op in this game was pretty fun, one of the best co-op experiences I've had with a buddy of mine.
Its saddening to be reminded of what one of my favorite series has become.
"They are unmanned vehicles they don't stop for anything!"
Matt and Pat when the cars blow up:
"And we've just killed so many innocent people"
>->
This was the Dead Space game David Cage was called in to work on. When asked his opinion on how to to make a good horror game he said and I quote
" To make it really scary you must make it really bright and be able to play with a friend, also add in crafting elements too".
Actually there were some neat missions dealing with ghosts and visions and stuff that were locked out to you if you were playing single-player.
Except the game has whole sections of gameplay that are totally co-op exclusive, with big doors that say "Fuck off, you need a co-op player to enter this door"
Also the Classic mode isn't balanced and the classic weapons are NOT viable (meaning not fun), as somebody who 100% both DS1 and DS2 I can firmly say the weapons in DS3 are pointlessly garbage in comparison to the previous games.
R0B1NG5 I thought having Isaac talk in DS2 was the first major error.
R0B1NG5 I agree, 1 was my favourite. Another reason I love it was Isaac was a silent protagonist so it was easier to act as a self insert to immerse yourself.
So I guess I'm the only one who thinks that the audio is fine and all their complaints about Dead Space 3 are totally justified and fair?
LittleMountain90 the audio is a little off but most likely due to the issues they brought up at the beginning of the video when they said the game didn't want to record so they probably had tech issues. Their complaints are justified in my opinion though.
LittleMountain90 Nah, I'm totally with you.
I actually enjoyed all Dead Space games
controversial opinion right here
I agree.
As do I, now think about this.
We'll probably NEVER get another Dead Space game because of people like this that bitched about the game before even getting to the good part.
How does that make you feel? It makes me feel like shit.
Kôito yeah that's what I'm saying, it wasn't near as scary but I had so much fun playing it compared to the others
How is the audio consistently so bad! I shouldn't have expected anything else.
Woolie
They constantly filter the audio through Woolie's dreads, warping what we hear to his advantage. In reality, Matt is a genius, Pat is super happy, and Liam is old.
When I think Dead Space, my mind instantly jumps to waist high cover and machine guns.
I completely forgot that you fight people in this game
The hardest fight in the entire game is resisting the urge to turn it off.
the scariest enemy in this game is the beyblade
It gets worse
Then it gets worserer
Because they basically just fought all the humans you fight in this game.
Blaze and Storm nah they have humans to fight in the end sequences and mid frozen planet parts
Never Finishing What You Started is by Far the Spookiest Thing About This SHITSTORM.
The hypest audio quality on Shitstorm! I love it when they goof, this audio brings back the nostalgia of the good ol' days.
Call of Dead Space Duty 3
One thing every single person overlooks and never even mentions is that the colony in the beginning of DS 3 obviously reached convergence when they left. That is how the Brethern Moon found the freaking Earth!
the "co-op dude" shoulda been the girl from deadspace 2
I'm here to look at DS3 and smirk at it seeing how much Pat and Matt enjoying DS2
Dead Space 3: Fuck Horror, we need ACTION!
Reminder that this game has a combat roll mechanic.
Always love these unbiased look into a game they never really played and were able to see the actually needed plot information and unique and interesting ADDITION not replacement monster designs.
Where is Clive Barker Jericho or Undying?
"I recorded ze bad audio." - David Cage
something inside me knew that Pat was gonna say "this is fucking shlock" i felt in in my bones
FYI guys the channel must be dying because "Matt and Pat" are playing dead space 2 on the channel right now. I hope they do a full LP of dead space 1 and 3 in near future.
Dead Space 2 is my favorite of the three. The security suit and DLC is greaaaaaaat.
man, patty sure is extra petty this episode
This reminds me of playing Paper Mario Wii at my friend's place. It wasn't the Paper Mario I grew up with at all!
I don't remember Paper Mario taking place in space with weird anal-rape monsters, either.
ds1 is more spoopy than ds2
oh yeah, by a country mile. I mean Manus, Gaping Dragon, The living humanity ghosts. And ds2 has...armor mans. The Pursuer is cool though
Godzilla InSpace
it took me way too long to get this. GG my friend.
pietufin well it's true for both series' really.
dks= dark souls.
nice try though
spoopy?
A-class audio as always, Matt and Pat!
Why are you guys playing a Gears of War/Calladooty ripoff on the Shitstorm...?
I would watch the everloving shit out of a Dead Space 2 LP
8:00 Well... Here we are, not even a year later.
This audio is taking me back to Two Best Friends Play Dead Space 2. Memories.
"but nooooo *dumb reasons*"
Koyol they even said yeah there monsters technically but a shitty human design
So they have to be reshaped, and those were just human husks. Infected, but not NercoMORPHS, just...Necro.
"horrific new forms"
like "man with ice pick"
I agree the nostalgia was too high here though, so much nitpicking
*****
They didn't specify. They kept making up reasons as each new monster showed up.
The audio quality matches the quality of this game perfectly
Pat is a Dead Space fan, I can tell because he gets mad over absolutely nothing.
DS3 isn't that bad.
Except micro-transactions, fuck that.
oh fuck I forgot about those...
I mean...dead space is so good. it deserves better than "not that bad"
All the weapons in the whole game use the same ammo type, making having two weapon slots nearly pointless. It's pretty bad.
Is he though? "I don't remember it taking more than one shot to shoot off their limbs!"
"Dead Space 3 is a let down because it's not a very good action game, and a really substandard horror game."
This quote
Ah yes, the good old days of underwater audio. Brings me back.
Alien isolation and now this
So many FULL PLAYTHROUGH DAMMIT, moments
Look at it this way
They either play a bad game like pros or they play a good game terribly
this is probably my favorite best friends opening XD
Isaac: "They're unmanned transports! They don't stop for anything!" Matt: "You just killed a bunch of innocent people" Pat: "Tons of innocent people"
Every time I see Plagues Shitstorm intro, I think to myself
"I wanna see a longer version of that. Its really hype"
Only took 11 months to break the emergency glass
31:22 The call of duty effects, specially the little movie song that played right after seem to be infecting me into a necromorph.
visceral is not doing call of duty guys,
they made battlefield: hardline and it was disappointing. as far as i know they arent doing shit else right now
They're doing that new Star Wars game.
Hardline was trash af, not even a battlefield game. Listened to my gut n didn't buy it.
Sledgehammer is made of up ex-Visceral devs. So, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was some of the Dead Space guys.
They've been doing that Star wars game for like five years now! And the creative director of Visceral totally left so there's even LESS of a chance Dead Space 4 will ever be a thing.
literally the first words of this video described it in it's own entirety.
"Some things are best left alone"
Full LP of Dead Space 1 when
let's roleplay dead space, after dark, with liam for the tentacles.
Richter The D Nah
Richter The D plz no.
I'd buy that for a dollar
Free Djinn Too bad they won't sell
I really appreciate the underwater filter to help build atmosphere, since this game tries to make sure you cant.
I'm only 12:00 in all I can think is "Wow, could you guys be bigger babies about nothing."
Welcome to the Best Friends. Mostly Pat.
Normally, they're just being dicks for fun which I love but this... holy shit, game ruined by having any semi normal human enemies in the first five minutes of the game. FUCK OFF PAT!!! As far as I could tell the games a 7.5. The lowest of the series but still not bad.
Yeah their negativity annoys me at times but it's only because I like most of their stuff and they sometimes ruin a vid that could have been good.
Have you guys ever watched a Shitstorm?
I played the whole thing and still thought it sucked.
There were some cool parts like the hallucination stuff in co-op and some of the environments but the story was lame, most of the enemies were boring, the set pieces were predictable, and all the characters besides Isaac were forgettable as fuck.
Most of you dudes are acting just as salty as them. There are perfectly valid reasons to be extremely annoyed by this game.
