I've got 3 factory Blythe dolls. 2 I bought from 'This is Blythe' and one, recently from AliExpress. I absolutely love them. The authentic Blythe dolls are way to expensive for me, plus I find them rather uninspiring as they lack diversity. Their stock looks great though. Some of the customised Blythes are amazing, but the high price point can be quite steep, which is not surprising when you see how much work goes into making them. Yes, these factory Blythes do tend to have a lot of trouble standing up. I actually bought some stands that plug into the back of this heads, which is a lot better. However, the stand could do with some redesigning around the 'leg', as it can be a tad unstable. Just as a side note, as stated, I bought my first 2 dolls from 'This is Blythe' I actually thought I was buying authentic Blythes, but they weren't. They were around £40 each. However the exact same dolls can be bought from AE for under £15, but the price does vary depending on which store you go to. Thanks for the video. Your doll is lovely and her outfit is adorable
Wonderfully composed and succinct information, well done! I have Kenner and everything in between, and I honestly love all versions of this fabulous doll! I would love to see how your customized girl turns out😉🥰💖😍♥️
I have always loved Blythe dolls from a very early age (8 or 9 maybe) and I remember getting a small doll that looked vey similar to one. Now as a teenager im starting to watch more videos about them and today after many years I just found out, trough your video, that my doll I had when I was younger is actually a model from the little pet shop line based from that TV show! Good thing I’ve kept that doll all those years! Thank you for this video, I have learnt a lot!
I have always wanted a Blythe since I saw the ads as a kid. I thought they were creepy cute. I own two fakes. One like this with purple and blue hair, dark skin and one custom Cruella. The hair on these dolls is so very soft. I gave the purple haired girl a haircut and it still holds that pretty curl. Both of mine have heavy heads. I’m not a fan of these bodies. I appreciate the articulation, but just don’t like the way it looks. I was hoping to get a real one from Good Smile, but now I’m nervous
Same, I don’t love this doll’s body and I also was looking into buying a Good Smile Blythe. But I’ve now seen too many complaints about the hair. I’m going to BlytheCon in November and will look for a custom or an older Takara.
@@HoneyBeeHappyMe i wish I was more confident and comfortable with customizing. Id switch the bodies. Most of the fake and customized dolls I’ve seen have this body. The dark skinned doll I got looks like my farmer on my story of seasons game so shes special but I’d love to switch her eye-chips and body. All of it scares me
This video is very interesting. I have some custom Blythe bought on etsy and an Icy from Arker. I also have three Lps Blythe, they are very cute..☺️ I would like to have a Takara one day. ❤️
That is a great suggestion for a youtube short. I'll work on a comparison video. Meanwhile, here's a link to a video I did a few years back about Pullip dolls. ruclips.net/video/k6nrkLBK27w/видео.html
@poltergeistghost The eye mechanism is different. I adore Pullips. They have a switch on the back of their head to move the eyes back and forth and to close them. Alot of times, their lids are painted to match their themes. I would love to see your collection Honeybee.
Fsolis was the store front name. She is listed as currently unavailable. 1/6 BJD Dolls, 4-Color Changing Eyes Matte Face and Ball Jointed Body Dolls, a.co/d/6SiZXFD
I did customize this doll 😊 ruclips.net/user/shorts1QmPLjOPpDM?si=r4KWvvlHUYFDYYUn

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out for a better stand.
@@HoneyBeeHappyMei do love this outfit. Need to get mine outfits. Unfortunately, my Cruellas body is stained, but i plan on keeping her in black

Thanks. I want to practice on something first. I’m a little scared. But when I do it I’ll film it.
Oh yes, even on the real ones, the head is heavy. However, the traditional bodies are sturdier than most of the joined bodies.
Interesting. I was really surprised how heavy the head was.

Awesome!
Yes, the heads are large and heavy on both stock and factory
Good video. I love all the Blythe, I have a little bit of everything, but mostly I like custom and also Takara
I LOVE the customs I’ve seen online!
I am new to Blythe, what great information!!
Thanks!
I'm a blythe lover for sure ❤❤
