What a gift that they both made it to the 50th anniversary. I mean Christopher is 86 and Julie is about to turn 80. Lets hope they make it to the 60th anniversary in health!
Jasmine Sirs Christopher adores Julie! He calls her an old fashioned Saint , refers to her as the soldier who carried them thru the whole movie! She worked endlessly in Austria & California! During the filming, Christopher used to call it the Sound of Mucus! LOL! Julie says Christopher was amazing , he made the movie less saccharine hence making it more real! That is a huge compliment!
Julie has spoken so highly about Christopher Plummer in interviews with her. She attributes the success of the move to Plummer, he was as she calls it “ astringent” making it,less super sweet & more realistic

oldmoviemusic Good for you. I sell music & movies & I know that there are many more young people,like you, that appreciate the classics. When you find one, they will introduce you to many others. Also, it's not a bad idea to talk with some older folks that share your passion of classic films. I am 64 & I am always invigorated when I talk to younger people about the classics. Also, if you want to check out a music film that might be considered a classic in the future - check out "Once" 2007 - directed by John Carney. Best wishes - Ted

when I was a kid i did because I wanted action but the sound of music converted me and later on when I became a dancer I began to love them West side story,the chorus line I can't stop watching them
