For those critics in the crowd who know zero about the Bob, it’s a classic haircut that can range anywhere from short and layered or it can be one length. It can also be as long as to just above the shoulder also layered or not. The classic Bob is generally straight across at the back to slightly longer in front but can range from a more extreme inverted line to one length around the perimeter. You have a nape world on the left ,which pulls the hair up and over so it looks shorter..it had to be cut shorter in the back otherwise its wouldn't have looked good in the front ,it's slightly concaved that's all, maybe a little short but it's not a bad cut.
I had a similar experience when a hair stylist cut my hip length hair to above my shoulders when I was just there for a trim. It's shocking and devastating to have this happen to you. I'm so sorry, but you still do look absolutely beautiful. God bless ❤
When you get a short bob ofc the back is going to be shorter than the front layers for the bob to be the same length all around. If all the layers had the same length you would have a shag or mullet cut. Brush it, style it properly. On top of that the hair at the back of the neck can make your neck a little hit and sweaty, your hair in contact with the sweat curls up and makes it look shorter. Just ask any girl with curly hair, it just happens when you straighten it.
Yes the hair cut is well done, it was just a bad haircut for her. But this is what the shortest layers will look like at that length, idk what she expected
You clearly didn’t read her pinned comment 😂💀 she didn’t ask for a short bob, she wanted a shoulder length bob all at the same length, and she got a short bob instead of what she asked for dummy Also since you apparently don’t know what a shag or mullet is let me educate you on those as well.. a shag is a layered hairstyle, such as a wolfcut which is a type of shag haircut.. and Mullets are quite literally the opposite from straight, might as well be a backwards bob with it being short up top and the sides and long in the back.. Please, educate yourself a little more before sounding stupid and embarrassing yourself in a comment section because you have no idea what you’re talking about.
that’s actually super stylish and functional at the same time for fussy people like me. i hate hair at the nape of my neck and almost always pony it up for this very reason.. so if i could have short hair with this cut id go for it any day
This is one of those moments where she knew what you were asking for.... but thought she knew better 😂 lucky you have the kinda face that would look good in any cut
Gosh I hate when stylists don’t know their hairstyles. My sister used to have this exact cut, A-line bob. It’s done well but definitely not a blunt bob
@@mackaylacook148the hair is pulled up to show that short part for a reason and to make the back look shorter. They could have left all the hair down in the back to show the back picture but pulled it up to expose the bottom part. girl the back is like a whole 2 inches shorter than the front.. her hairdresser angled it instead of giving her a blunt cut. open your god damn eyes next time so people don’t have to waste their time explaining simple shit to you.
@@quinndelin69 One no need to be rude. 2. Are you a hairdresser? When you do a blunt bob, they measure the hair to make sure it's the same length. My hair has been getting cut that short since I was 15 because my hair is heavy. The hairdresser did exactly what she was supposed to do. Because the underneath layer will match up to the hair on-top.
@@quinndelin69when taking the picture, she bent her neck to show the cut, which pulls the hair up from the neck and makes it look shorter. Also, the waves she has on the first shot are obviously styled waves not natural waves. When you wear your hair loose the nape of the neck can get hot and a little sweaty, the hair in contact with the sweat if going to curl back up, ask any girl with curly hair who straightenes their hair, by the end of the day your hair at the back of the neck curls up, and that also makes it look shorter.
For context, you have a cowlick making one side of the back “look” shorter… also if the bob is literally cut the same length all around, it becomes back heavy and the second you tilt your head slightly up, it looks longer in the back than the front. There is a reason the front is cut slightly longer than the back. Flat iron it and do a 360 spin.
I feel like the least the hairdresser could do though was tell her what you said exactly. She should've asked if she could do this before cutting that much length off.
and how is this relevant when the hairdresser literally cut her hair shorter than asked and angled when asked straight? you want to make her sound as a dumbass. she knows a out haircuts, she just wanted a trim, not a bob. read.
It literally doesn’t matter bc she asked and payed for a style that she didn’t get 😭. Like idc what u think I should do with my hair do it the way I asked lol
anddd this is why i started cutting my own hair i felt like every time i went to the salon they never listened and cut off wayyy more than i wanted. then not only did i not have the hair that i wanted, but i just spent money on it too. if i mess up cutting my hair at least it was my fault and it was free😅 i just went to a new hairdresser after probably 6 years of not going and when i said i wanted a trim she literally only cut off about a centimeter (she called it a dusting) i was so happy. ik dead ends are a thing, but it’s jarring to lose that much length in one sitting (i also trim my ends every couple weeks)
Was your hair damaged? I was wearing buns and ponytails to sleep the friction was breaking my hair above the nape so I had to chop that exact area you showed so that it could grow back healthy and even. On the upside it gave more volume/“bump” instead of showing underneath damaged. Anyway ur so real for this reaction😂 cute bob too
I had already left!!! I had no idea the back looked like that because she didn’t hand me a mirror to show me the back. I just thought it was fine 😭 I went to a random place for the first time and figured everyone can cut hair but I’ve since learned that not everyone can cut a bob 🫠
@@ericanic0leyou have to communicate it during consultation 😊 I have layers and always tell them beforehand where they sit, how much hair I want gone etc. And of they're fast to chop ask them to show me how much hair they're taking out. Some get mad and argue that I need more gone because that's what they've been taught, but most respect that it's your hair and they're being payed either way 😂 I always try to be polite and tip them too. But yeah I've had very bad haircuts, it was a long recovery from a Pixie cut gone wrong 😂😂
I asked for that exact haircut for years and they couldn’t ever sort it out. I would always end up with what you wanted. It’s so hard getting the exact cut you want. But it looks good!!
My hair stylist provides a mirror and holds it up so i can see the back. Also is in constant communication with me about where I want my hair length to fall at. I say “at the base of my neck” and we show each other what that means so we are in the same page. I also stay still and don’t move my neck or head around so there’s no oops on the cut. I don’t treat anyone as if they are beneath me or psychic when it comes to my hair.
Why are these stylists so scissors happy! I’ll never forget when I asked for some layers and keep my length and at the end she was like “I went ahead and took the liberty of cutting some extra dead ends” she chopped my hair off. I told her I’m not paying her a dime and walked out.
@@rosegroshek1218”like a normal person”? this IS a “normal person”. You’ve got it wrong. Getting half a cut and leaving makes no sense either…so there’s that!!!
normally you don't leave an undercut scraggly and uneven. You usually buzz an undercut. It looks like a 3 year old cut the back. Like a full inch shorter on the left side compared to the right
@@hannanah8036 most of us are broke af. We live off $7.35 an hour down here. We're cutting our own hair. By my standards, I think it's pretty good lol. Plus if its uneven it ain't too hard to fix. It's just hair, not that important
I got the same haircut, similar in the back, and it was glorious. My stylist went at it with a straight razor and the back felt sooooooo good in the summer!
One of my biggest pet peeves is a stylist that does not cut conservatively and check in frequently during the cut. It’s not your hair, it’s my hair, and I’ve trusted you with it. Don’t fuck it up please. So many have fucked it up. 🫤
It’s still a blunt, one length cut as far as I can see. They just have to take some of the weight off in the back (if they don’t when you look down at something your haircut would look like shit. That’s why that bottom part is shorter coming from a hairdresser 🫶🏻
Oop but it’s cute!! Lips and eyebrows are giving . Plus the hair doesn’t look dead/damaged , instead it looks fresh and clean. Most teens now a days have super short hair, due to dying it and heat . ❤
They do that so that the short hairs by your neck don’t pop out ruining the sharp line of the blunt bob. The hairs by the neck will pop out from the pressure of your neck and look like the stylist missed pieces of hair. The stylist did exactly what they needed to do to achieve the blunt bob look you were wanting. The feeling of the short hairs might feel odd but they were intentional. Your stylist did a wonderful job
That’s how hair works. I’ve gotten bobs and wanted them at least shoulder lengths but the little hairs in the back are always shorter. It’s not a big deal it looks good!
The back has to look like that for all of the hair to be the same length. Since she cut it shorter than you asked she had to match the back up and since that hair is closer to your scalp it’s extremely short. Kind of just common sense and some of these comments don’t get that she didn’t just give you an undercut she matched it to the rest of the mistake she made
Seriously? But the root of your hair at the nape of your neck is lower than the front and sides so, if if it's cut chin length aka a bob, the nape hair will be shorter in length. 😊
It’s a cowlick people !! It’s the underneath ! She is lifting the hair. You can not see this from the back. The nape is the lowest point on your head. If not cut this short. The back would have been longer then the front. Only way to avoid a back like this is to have the front longer, period.

The way she just keeps on pouting 😂 And you still slay with your hair 😍 ❤
Looks great and will grow back
Bro got the real life Alastor haircut 💀
HELP
LMFAO 😭😭
You have a nape world on the left ,which pulls the hair up and over so it looks shorter..it had to be cut shorter in the back otherwise its wouldn't have looked good in the front ,it's slightly concaved that's all, maybe a little short but it's not a bad cut.
We’ve all been there at least once haven’t we😭
Not yet which means my time must still come 😭
I had a similar experience when a hair stylist cut my hip length hair to above my shoulders when I was just there for a trim. It's shocking and devastating to have this happen to you. I'm so sorry, but you still do look absolutely beautiful. God bless ❤
The back and forth between “uh, what?” And “oooh feeling cute!” Was perfect ❤ hair looks so cute
Girl don’t even worry because you’re ROCKING a hairstyle that not many can successfully wear
Looks cuuuute! Will grow back in no time!!
Loll u still look so goodddd
They cut it that short so that you don't end up with a mullet in 2 weeks. The back of the heritance to grow a lot faster than the front
It grows lower not faster
That would probably make your hair a lot easier to manage too since there’s not as much of it
Yeah the lower layers are going to be short short. She wanted her hair above her neck but also long? 😅
@@purrrrrrrple she didn’t want it above the neck tho?
Fr this is dumb lol
My heart DROPPED!!!! I would die my self
love how you just kept posing like nothing was wrong!😂❤
The way your trying to look calm while processing your thoughts
It looks so pretty on you ❤
Thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼
If she cut more than you asked that is frustrating but the bottom back will usually be shorter than the hairs on the top of your head
I don’t think you saw the picture….
The last photo looks awful
Yes the hair cut is well done, it was just a bad haircut for her. But this is what the shortest layers will look like at that length, idk what she expected
You clearly didn’t read her pinned comment 😂💀 she didn’t ask for a short bob, she wanted a shoulder length bob all at the same length, and she got a short bob instead of what she asked for dummy
Also since you apparently don’t know what a shag or mullet is let me educate you on those as well.. a shag is a layered hairstyle, such as a wolfcut which is a type of shag haircut.. and Mullets are quite literally the opposite from straight, might as well be a backwards bob with it being short up top and the sides and long in the back..
Please, educate yourself a little more before sounding stupid and embarrassing yourself in a comment section because you have no idea what you’re talking about.
As someone who has had a blunt bob, no it doesn't look like that lmao. This is an asymmetrical bob and not even cut super well
The posing while checking what happened is so relatable lol😂
She handled that SO WELL
that’s actually super stylish and functional at the same time for fussy people like me. i hate hair at the nape of my neck and almost always pony it up for this very reason.. so if i could have short hair with this cut id go for it any day
Had my bob trimmed today. My stylist & I were joking that if I didn’t layer my ends I would have a triangle head & look like Dora the Explorer. 😂
I have the same problem 😂
Im so sorry that was too funny 😂🤣 you look cute thooo!
She still looks sooooo pretty
That's how a bob is cut to have it all LOOKING one length. Otherwise it will look longer in the back than in the front. It looks great!!
The back is cut almost to the skull when she wanted it to her shoulders?
@@mackaylacook148the hair is pulled up to show that short part for a reason and to make the back look shorter. They could have left all the hair down in the back to show the back picture but pulled it up to expose the bottom part. The layer underneath that grows closest to the hairline is always shorter because of how the hair lays over it.
Its happen absolutely the same to me!!!! I was so mad shouting and crying
i don’t think i’ve eve been in shock before until now 😭😭😭
you would have a mullet if they didn’t cut that part short? i’m confused why that was shocking?
girl the back is like a whole 2 inches shorter than the front.. her hairdresser angled it instead of giving her a blunt cut. open your god damn eyes next time so people don’t have to waste their time explaining simple shit to you.
Gurl look attt itttt 😭😭😭😭
@@quinndelin69when taking the picture, she bent her neck to show the cut, which pulls the hair up from the neck and makes it look shorter. Also, the waves she has on the first shot are obviously styled waves not natural waves. When you wear your hair loose the nape of the neck can get hot and a little sweaty, the hair in contact with the sweat if going to curl back up, ask any girl with curly hair who straightenes their hair, by the end of the day your hair at the back of the neck curls up, and that also makes it look shorter.
are you blind? It’s uneven af and looks horrible💀
Hairstylist here 👋 and this ✅
I feel like the least the hairdresser could do though was tell her what you said exactly. She should've asked if she could do this before cutting that much length off.
and how is this relevant when the hairdresser literally cut her hair shorter than asked and angled when asked straight? you want to make her sound as a dumbass. she knows a out haircuts, she just wanted a trim, not a bob. read.
was looking for an educated comment so i didn’t have to leave one LOL so real
It literally doesn’t matter bc she asked and payed for a style that she didn’t get 😭. Like idc what u think I should do with my hair do it the way I asked lol
anddd this is why i started cutting my own hair
i felt like every time i went to the salon they never listened and cut off wayyy more than i wanted. then not only did i not have the hair that i wanted, but i just spent money on it too. if i mess up cutting my hair at least it was my fault and it was free😅
i just went to a new hairdresser after probably 6 years of not going and when i said i wanted a trim she literally only cut off about a centimeter (she called it a dusting) i was so happy. ik dead ends are a thing, but it’s jarring to lose that much length in one sitting (i also trim my ends every couple weeks)
That is absolutely horrifying and unacceptable.
someone once said “the back of my head is none of my business” and I follow that mantra to this day
Was your hair damaged? I was wearing buns and ponytails to sleep the friction was breaking my hair above the nape so I had to chop that exact area you showed so that it could grow back healthy and even. On the upside it gave more volume/“bump” instead of showing underneath damaged. Anyway ur so real for this reaction😂 cute bob too
Girl don’t be afraid to speak up I’ve been their when I asked for something and they did the opposite I wish I stood up for myself
@@ericanic0le i wouldve taken my ass right back inside the building and requested a refund for something like that..
Most stylist CUT THE WAY THEY WANT...NOT WHAT YOU REQUEST
its givingggggg “are bald in the back?” “😨”😭😭😭😭😭😭
The way I would’ve cried is insanity. Also, at that point I would’ve just gotten an undercut
I asked for that exact haircut for years and they couldn’t ever sort it out. I would always end up with what you wanted. It’s so hard getting the exact cut you want. But it looks good!!
Oh my 😮 I was like “it’s okay” and then the flip up 😩 still cute and I love you lol
The duck lips back and forth😂 who still thinks that was a good thing in 2010
I called them kissy lips because it looks like they want to kiss.
That’s an angled bob. It’s supposed to look like that.
Same thing happened to me, I had butt length hair asked for a bob, got an almost shaved head :)
Smiling thru the pain
No!
Bro gave her the Alastor cut😭🙏
the way you kept tryna pout thru it 😭💀💀
Why are these stylists so scissors happy! I’ll never forget when I asked for some layers and keep my length and at the end she was like “I went ahead and took the liberty of cutting some extra dead ends” she chopped my hair off. I told her I’m not paying her a dime and walked out.
Um, did you not have a mirror right in front of you? Where you could have stopped her like a normal person?
@@rosegroshek1218”like a normal person”? this IS a “normal person”. You’ve got it wrong. Getting half a cut and leaving makes no sense either…so there’s that!!!
This style is really popular in the south because it keeps you cool. I like it
normally you don't leave an undercut scraggly and uneven.
Stfu 🤣 nobody is paying for that uneven 💩
Some one did that to me when I first got my hair cut like 😭😭
I got the same haircut, similar in the back, and it was glorious. My stylist went at it with a straight razor and the back felt sooooooo good in the summer!
No !
Yes I have the same. and love it. And you're right... it feels so good.
Serve it girl can’t even tell! I’d be livid but you look gorgeous WORK IT!💖
One of my biggest pet peeves is a stylist that does not cut conservatively and check in frequently during the cut. It’s not your hair, it’s my hair, and I’ve trusted you with it. Don’t fuck it up please.
So many have fucked it up. 🫤
You look like Gracie Abrams!!! YOU ARE SO PRETTYYYY
How alastor got his bob:
It’s still a blunt, one length cut as far as I can see. They just have to take some of the weight off in the back (if they don’t when you look down at something your haircut would look like shit. That’s why that bottom part is shorter coming from a hairdresser 🫶🏻
Recently recovering from a bad haircut too 😭 sometimes you really don’t realize until you walk out. I was so depressed lol
Oop but it’s cute!! Lips and eyebrows are giving . Plus the hair doesn’t look dead/damaged , instead it looks fresh and clean. Most teens now a days have super short hair, due to dying it and heat . ❤
You make a good point haha! Thank you 🥹💓
i wasnt prepared for that
You can literally feel her heart dropping through the screen when she figures out how much the stylish had cut off lol
The switches between pose face and panic face though 😂
The back has to look like that for all of the hair to be the same length. Since she cut it shorter than you asked she had to match the back up and since that hair is closer to your scalp it’s extremely short. Kind of just common sense and some of these comments don’t get that she didn’t just give you an undercut she matched it to the rest of the mistake she made
You're so strong . I would cry right there
Is this a skit? How do you get a bob and dont realize the back of your hair was cut?
She didn’t hand me a mirror to show me the back? It’s not that hard to come to that conclusion. From the front and side it all appeared one length
Seriously? But the root of your hair at the nape of your neck is lower than the front and sides so, if if it's cut chin length aka a bob, the nape hair will be shorter in length. 😊
The one tome they didn't cut the back this short, I rocked decently thick rat tail for a while. Looked like a failed mullet 😂@lifecuriosity
@@ericanic0le but what did you want them to do instead? You did ask for a bob?
@@littleloner1159it’s not the same person from the video to the picture of the back.
It’s a cowlick people !! It’s the underneath ! She is lifting the hair. You can not see this from the back. The nape is the lowest point on your head. If not cut this short. The back would have been longer then the front. Only way to avoid a back like this is to have the front longer, period.
The pouting after realising gets me 😂
Bro is Alastor 💀
(I'm joking, not tryna be offensive)
THATS CRIMINAL
Keeping her composure for the content 👌
