For everyone wanting a coupon, I found that when I added items to my shopping cart & left them there, Michael’s ended up emailing me a 40% off my entire online purchase! I think that’s a good way for everyone to get their pieces in case Michael’s doesn’t give any better coupons this year. I’m disappointed in Michael’s, this is the worst year, for customers, to get rid of coupons & jack up prices. I loved Michael’s for the fact that they would honor competitor coupons & were always nice about it. Their stuff is overpriced & if they’re getting rid of coupons then they should match the prices to their true retail value. I think they’re gonna lose a lot of money if they stop giving out the 50 & 60% coupons. Besides that negative, I’m so excited to receive this piece 😩😍 it’s so beautiful! So expensive but I can’t not have it 😆😂 it’s my first year officially collecting Spooky Town, I ordered this one, the pub, & ravens manor! I can’t wait! Thanks for the awesome videos 🤓🎃 also I LOVE your tractor hayride idea! I think that’s so cool & it’ll be so fun for your kids 😆 I love when people are super festive for Halloween

Not sure why the farm and pumpkin theme gives me so much nostalgia as I was never raised on a farm but there's no denying it! I've started my Spooky Town collection this year and just got the Zombie Jazz Cafe yesterday and WOW! The level of detail was not something I was expecting. It's a light up piece and once plugged in, everything just comes to life (no sound or movement needed). Really wanting the Graveyard Party to have a zombie party theme going on. They go to the cafe for a drink and to the graveyard to dance. See there I go geeking out again! Never thought I would be so excited about this hobby yet somehow wandered into this part of the internet and so glad I did. Thanks for your awesome channel!

I love this piece! The details are fantastic and you are right, Doug--it lights up nicely but will not draw away from other buildings in Spooky Town. I think that it would look great beside the Pumpkin Tilt 'n' Hurl.
I love the idea of a large corn maze, maybe with a big scarecrown in the middle. Do you have the Creepy Corn Row? I got a couple a while back. They don’t substitute for a max but at least can hint at one. I guess you could buy a bunch and link them into something.
This is a great piece that I’d love to have!!! I started collecting last year and was able to get a couple of pieces from my local Menards, that had the pumpkin water tower! 😆 I was at Menards this past weekend but didn’t see any Lemax out yet. I’ll def go by Michaels to see if they have put anything out yet. Topeka is slow in getting their Halloween items out... 😭
Menards doesn't display their stuff until mid-late August if I am remembering correctly. Glad you got started last year, this will go great with that water tower!
I hope this also shows up for the 2021. By the time the coupons hit they sold out online. And the 3 stores near me had 2 each. 1 store didnt even finish setting up the usual display and just had the houses in a row on the shelf. That and there were quality issues with poor paint based on customer reviews.
That one is a must have but I am afraid it will be too expensive. I hope to get a 40% at some point, but I do love it enough to maybe even use a 20% one.

Good luck with your Cub. Our old neighbor used to drive the kids around the neighborhood in a hay filled wagon on the back. The kids loved it. We had a portable outdoor fire ring and lit it in the driveway one year because it was cold and I handed out candy in the driveway. It was faster and easier for the kids, instead of coming to the door. It also created a nice spooky ambiance for Halloween and more neighbors started doing it. It also helped that we had no streetlights in the neighborhood. Halloween is our favorite holiday. I hate to admit it because you like Lemax but, we’re a Dept. 56 family. I do buy Lemax accessories to add to the village. You do a great job with your village and We’re looking forward to this years set up. Happy Halloween 👻

You may already know this, but I have spoken to three of the Cracker Barrels here in Tennessee and they all told me that Cracker Barrel isn't doing any Halloween this year, just Harvest. I know you mentioned you like to do hauls from there if they have anything new. Maybe next year. Thank you for the great videos!
I went into my local Michaels today and I tried to use the 60% off coupon for my Jacks pumpkin farm. The manager came up to me and said “i told you it was a fraud!” I then said “well lots of people are using it!” Then he said “Michaels are breaking the rules!” We got into this fight for a few minutes and I ended up going home after using a 30% off coupon. I was so ticked at that manger arguing with me I’m not going back to that store. Talk about customer service ! 😒😒😒😒 even if it wouldn’t work why yell at a customer!! UGH
What a joke, so sorry to hear that :/ For the managers to fight so hard against a coupon that THEY ISSUED THEMSELVES there must be some kind of weird mandate that went out. It's a real nightmare
As someone who has worked in customer service, if someone uses a coupon they already know they shouldn't be using it is quite frustrating. We can get in trouble for them and frankly, you know you shouldn't. And you should not be rude about it. Regardless, I am sorry for your experience because I absolutely agree no one should have yelled at you and I am glad you got the piece you wanted :)
What BS saying it was a fraud., They did issue those discounts. They quickly realized what they did and tried to stop it, but when they officially send an email saying 60% off with a 7/31 expiration date, they should have to take it. My local Michael's was very rude about it too so I called customer service and they emailed the store saying they had to accept it. Manager was quite angry at me, but whatever.
I agree. I think it’s some kind of rule that if an item in a store mistakenly is displayed one sale, the store has to honor that price. I know some managers will argue but they are supposed to honor the mislabeled price. Seems like this rule should apply to the coupon.
I did end up ordering this one for 30% off. May see if my local Michaels will do the 60% off thing on one of the more expensive exclusives. Other than that, I’ll just be purchasing stuff from giftspice or ehobbytools as their prices are basically 40% off the Michaels prices.
I would also love to see a corn maze piece or a Halloween party with the classic bobbing for apples and kids in traditional costumes. This piece is also great but I do hope that Michaels will have have discounts late August or September. Happy collecting!!!
Hi John yeah a bobbing for apples piece would be cool! There is a chance that if everything stays on shelves that potential heavier discounting will happen later in the season. I mean, you'd think it would, right? Mid September they start trying to clear out to release the Christmas pieces so they'd want that shelf space. Love your idea for the old tractor. Not happy hearing Michaels is expecting to sell stuff at their overinflated prices. Those 40%-60% off coupons brought the pricing back down to Earth.
Hi Kat hope you're doing great! Yeah the way they do the pricing, 40 or 50 percent off is the "real" retail price so it's messed up they are doing it like that this year. I would guess sales will be down because of it. It'll be interesting to see that because if pieces last long enough, maybe they will hit heavy mark down when we get to september and they have to start clearing way for the christmas pieces
I think this piece is by far the best Michaels Exclusive piece this year in my opinion! I love love love the lighting of this piece. Pictures don't do this piece justice! Heck seeing it in lit in the display at the Michaels store don't do it justice either lol until you light the piece up in a dark room, then it Shines!!! I could not pass this piece up lol I also agree with you on a Corn Maze piece! Yep, this piece really shines when its lit up. The Raven manor house is awesome as well but with the coupon situation, dunno if/when I will get that. Love the idea of a graveyard party style corn maze!

I ordered this online last week and just got a cancellation notice today saying they were out of stock. Does this happen a lot with Michael's Lemax stuff?
Doug I have a question for you. Every Lemax spooky village building I purchase from Michaels Crafts comes with a colored Spookytown collection catalog for the year it is for right when you open the box sitting on the top of the styrofoam . I just received the Lemax Spookytown pumpkin Tilt N Hurl. I had to purchase it from Amazon since Michaels didn’t have one. I think that piece is from 2019. The box arrived in perfect condition. I have opened the box but I didn’t separate the two styrofoam parts yet or test the ride to make sure all the parts are contained. Shouldn’t every brand new village piece come with a colored catalog of the year its suppose to represent. Every time I buy them from Michaels Crafts the colored catalogs are on top as soon as you open the box. The main reason I want to know is because this piece I purchased from Amazon claims to be brand new. I have other ways of knowing if it’s brand new once I completely open everything it just I want that years catalog and mine arrived without one. What’s you opinion. I appreciate any information you provide to me. 👍🎃👍
Not sure if anyone else will have luck but I was able to get my Michael's to price match gift spice. The manager seemed kinda hesitant on doing it but she did it. She was giving me a hard time and asking how long the sale was for on their website and I said that's the normal price and she was shocked. (The piece was the balloon with the witch) on gift spice it was $19.99 and at Michael's it was $44.99. Unfortunately nothing can really be done about the Michaels exclusives but that may be a way to get them cheaper. Hopefully it also works for some of you.
really cool they did a price match. I think that's whats frustrating about the coupon situation- a manager could easily just allow it to happen. A manager could just allow basically anything to happen....and yet many choose to be combative. I don't really understand why they fight so hard to honor a coupon their own store sent out

I got the same one love it , but my scarecrow is off to the side can’t see it to well, don’t want to exchange it because using the 60% coupon was such a hassle. Should I leave it alone, or should I snap it off and move it over. By the way I support the build for a corn maze. So many groups make there own . Hope they make it.
That's all there is anymore, unfortunately. The thing I used was a weird Michaels errors. Look around social media and you'll see what I mean with the AC Moore coupon they sent out.

It’s by far my favorite 2020 release. And easily one of the better buildings overall spanning all years. I absolutely love the theme and depth.
I went to Michael's today and they had two Graveyard Party sets from last year. I was so excited. I bought one and the windmill.

I would also love to see a corn maze piece or a Halloween party with the classic bobbing for apples and kids in traditional costumes. This piece is also great but I do hope that Michaels will have have discounts late August or September. Happy collecting!!!
Hi John yeah a bobbing for apples piece would be cool! There is a chance that if everything stays on shelves that potential heavier discounting will happen later in the season. I mean, you'd think it would, right? Mid September they start trying to clear out to release the Christmas pieces so they'd want that shelf space. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

I was contemplating on maybe trying for later part of August to see if I notice any discounts or do you think September will be the month if they do any? Love your idea for the old tractor. Not happy hearing Michaels is expecting to sell stuff at their overinflated prices. Those 40%-60% off coupons brought the pricing back down to Earth.
Hi Kat hope you're doing great! Yeah the way they do the pricing, 40 or 50 percent off is the "real" retail price so it's messed up they are doing it like that this year. I would guess sales will be down because of it. It'll be interesting to see that because if pieces last long enough, maybe they will hit heavy mark down when we get to september and they have to start clearing way for the christmas pieces

I think this piece is by far the best Michaels Exclusive piece this year in my opinion! I love love love the lighting of this piece. Pictures don't do this piece justice! Heck seeing it in lit in the display at the Michaels store don't do it justice either lol until you light the piece up in a dark room, then it Shines!!! I could not pass this piece up lol I also agree with you on a Corn Maze piece! Yep, this piece really shines when its lit up. The Raven manor house is awesome as well but with the coupon situation, dunno if/when I will get that. Love the idea of a graveyard party style corn maze!

Doug I have a question for you. Every Lemax spooky village building I purchase from Michaels Crafts comes with a colored Spookytown collection catalog for the year it is for right when you open the box sitting on the top of the styrofoam . I just received the Lemax Spookytown pumpkin Tilt N Hurl. I had to purchase it from Amazon since Michaels didn’t have one. I think that piece is from 2019. The box arrived in perfect condition. I have opened the box but I didn’t separate the two styrofoam parts yet or test the ride to make sure all the parts are contained. Shouldn’t every brand new village piece come with a colored catalog of the year its suppose to represent. Every time I buy them from Michaels Crafts the colored catalogs are on top as soon as you open the box. The main reason I want to know is because this piece I purchased from Amazon claims to be brand new. I have other ways of knowing if it’s brand new once I completely open everything it just I want that years catalog and mine arrived without one. What’s you opinion. I appreciate any information you provide to me. 👍🎃👍
Not sure if anyone else will have luck but I was able to get my Michael's to price match gift spice. The manager seemed kinda hesitant on doing it but she did it. She was giving me a hard time and asking how long the sale was for on their website and I said that's the normal price and she was shocked. (The piece was the balloon with the witch) on gift spice it was $19.99 and at Michael's it was $44.99. Unfortunately nothing can really be done about the Michaels exclusives but that may be a way to get them cheaper. Hopefully it also works for some of you.
really cool they did a price match. I think that's whats frustrating about the coupon situation- a manager could easily just allow it to happen. A manager could just allow basically anything to happen....and yet many choose to be combative. I don't really understand why they fight so hard to honor a coupon their own store sent out

I got the same one love it , but my scarecrow is off to the side can’t see it to well, don’t want to exchange it because using the 60% coupon was such a hassle. Should I leave it alone, or should I snap it off and move it over. By the way I support the build for a corn maze. So many groups make there own . Hope they make it.

That's all there is anymore, unfortunately. The thing I used was a weird Michaels errors. Look around social media and you'll see what I mean with the AC Moore coupon they sent out.
