Female gorilla Toto gave baby Sumomo a piggyback and cared for her for the first time (At least first for me). Toto is really good at taking care, but after a while Sumomo's sister Momoka came to kidnap Sumomo. After that, their sister Komomo took and cared for Sumomo. おばあちゃんゴリラのトトが、おそらく初めて赤ちゃんゴリラのスモモをおんぶして歩いていました🦍🦍 トトはゆっくり安定した動きをしており、背中に乗っているスモモを気にかけながら移動していました。 しばらくするとモモカがやって来てスモモを誘拐しましたが、その後コモモがスモモを引き取り、優しく面倒を見ていました。
Well it's finalized ,, Sumomo has been introduce to all members of the Troop . She should be feeling more comfy now 👍 next step ,, walking and playing on her own .happy Toto was able to spend time with her . Iam sure that was a good day for her😀🤗😍👍✨❤️✨

Yess it seems that way . She is taking the role of big sister very seriously . I just hope this would not effect the process of her having her own family . Some of us has a big sister that had to take on the role of taking care of her younger siblings . Even when momma was in the house . That's an important role that last a life time .
Baby Sumomo seems very happy to ‘share the love’ with all her big sisters❣️ She climbs from one to the other without any hesitation. 😍 However, I think Komomo is her favourite - Sumomo seems to be most relaxed in Komomo’s arms. It was great to see baby girl trying some daikon. She’s becoming more comfortable in her surroundings in each new video. ❤👏😍

Yaaayyyy!. Momoko allowed Toto to interact and carry the baby. Momoko is still the alpha female and in the past she has been a force to be reckoned with. Now Sumomo has been fully integrated by the family. Someone new to cling to. For those who worry Sumomo isn't meeting her milestones. Watch her closely. She can crawl, stand, and walk. There are videos of her in the inside housing doing so. Look how she danced around Riki when he put her on the ground and her trying to climb back on. I think like any baby, human or primate, she likes the feel of being cuddled. Isn't it only week 2 or 3 that she is with all the family. She'll settle down, getting on everyone's nerves in no time. Haoko and Momoko will see to that.
I just love Riki now. All my attention has been on Gentaro and Kintaro and barely watched Riki. He is the best big brother to Princess Plum. Gentaro was constantly dragging Kinny. Like I said , Riki is the best!

Before being introduced to the family Sumomo had plenty of walking and climbing time on her own. There are several videos the zoo posted on other social media (can’t mention by name or my comment gets deleted 😊) of her climbing and running and playing in her indoor enclosure from before. The family is enjoying carrying her for the time being it seems. I’m Sure the novelty will wear off, Sumomo will get more active and escape their arms. I think she’s enjoying all the hugs and cuddles she missed while separated from the family for the time being. I’m sure the day will come when she runs and climbs again. Gorillas always seem to do the right thing on their own timing for their young. 🦍♥️
@@gorillabff1003 She appears to love the cuddles and all of the piggy back rides and everyone seems to love giving her rides. ;o) I certainly hope that one day they will re-upload the videos of her climbing and learning how to walk soon.
@@gorillabff1003 Exactly this. The novelty for both Sumomo and the rest of the family is still very strong. She was separated from them for 9 months, she's missed the affection and caring from other gorillas that she's getting now. I'm confident she'll get more comfortable exploring on her own at some point, and the others will still be watchful and available for cuddles when she wants them. ❤❤❤

Kintaro from Kyoto was the first gorilla baby I followed and due to Genki’s (presumed) fear of putting her baby down (lest he be taken from her for artificial nursing as Gentaro had been) she hardly put Kintaro down at all for his first year of life so he was somewhat physically developmentally delayed (some might say) for that first year and his legs were spindly etc. once Genki felt comfortable in allowing Kintaro to roam he certainly made up for lost time and now is an athletic and sturdy toddler and excellent climber etc. he made up for the time lost in his physical development very quickly I remember. Sumomo will be fine. I am not worried. It always evens out and the babies get what they need. Gorillas are so incredible. I have mad respect and love for them and they know what’s best for their offspring. ♥️🦍

I believe that here in the near future we will be seeing Sumomo running around on her own, exploring and playing. Looks like the "newness" is starting to wear off and everything will get back to normal.
If I was not quite one year old yet and just being introduce to all my family and a new Habitat . I would play it safe too . Sumomo is a smart cookie already 👍 at least she is the one doing the interviewing 😍🤗😘✨❤️✨ for now
