Each month The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation hosts a Meet the Scientist Webinar featuring a researcher discussing the latest findings related to mental illness. In November, 2023, the Foundation featured Dr. Ryan J. Herringa of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Description: This talk will highlight current knowledge regarding neurodevelopment in youth with PTSD. Current treatment modalities for pediatric PTSD will be reviewed, followed by consideration of how neuroscience-based findings may enhance both the detection and treatment of PTSD in youth in the future.
