Crosstrek all the way in that segment for our harsh winter conditions. CX3 is too small, HRV ok for a daily normal driving, Fiat really? No way! I personally think that Subaru Crosstrek second generation is an outstanding vehicle compared to the competition.
I’m trading in my crosstrek for one of these because I’ve replaced every component of its suspension twice and it’s all falling apart again. Barely 160k miles.
@@FIVEOFEVER my Thoughts exactly, I was considering the HRV at one point but I change my mind due to the CVT transmission and given the CX-3 an extra look, Plus it has the regular six speed automatic which is far more reliable than the CVT at least Mazda is doing something right
wondering how it slides as an awd auto, looks like you can get some angle out of it but does the tc kill the fun ala alot of small x overs thanks great vid, trying to find more mt videos
This review has a lot of useful information but I do not consider the Honda HR-V to be a true subcompact. It seems more like a compact with and undersize engine. If the engine was large enough to give adequate performance then it would be no different than other compact crossovers and much larger than true subcompacts.
@@CarQuestion I got the CX3. Not concerned about the size... Where I live in Michigan our four seasons are June, July, August and Winter..The CX3 with snow tires is a beast in the snow...and no CVT!
The CX5 has the tiniest seats in the segment. Can’t even imagine this car. The FWD bias of the AWD is not the best, honestly. Perfect for a short 5 ft Asian or Latino person. Not anyone else.
Great review, Matt! Can't wait to see our Altima videos!

+1 I am not into Mazda brand at all but the long snow drifts are great !
Great review! And you were able to drift it despite the always-on stability control?
I live in Alberta where it snows a lot in winter, thinking to buy cx3,
My concern is my its ground Clearance, is it enough to handle snow ?
It's been enough to handle the northern Michigan snow
Try the snow cabin Smith crescent. They have great donuts too.

AWD + All-Weather Tires = Zero Worries ;-)
Unlimited Warranty? Is this Canada? I don't think we have em in BC
I was surprised to see Mazda in the top 5 of the Consumer Reports reliability list
with an unlimited mileage warranty here in Canada, they have confidence in their products!
Gotta love the French Canadians!
Why does VW hate you !!! I am dying to see you beat up a Tiguan !!!
Soon my friend we had progress this year with vw!! Keep the faith!
@@CarQuestion love the videos. Keep up the terrific work !!!!
thank you nice job!
I live in Yosemite in CA
In other word if u buy cx3 buy the biggest rubber u can get to counter that firm set up

$33,500 is way too much!
For a GT maybe but size is not a price factor as you can see
Mitsubishi RVR with AWC?
my god that is a lot of snow...
You haven’t seen nothing where I live ! 8 foot snow banks !

I would go to the next size of vehicle. This car seems too small.
Cx5
Do I notice a Portuguese accent?
he is French Canadian

I'm 6'2 235lbs, no issue up front...
Subaru XV is much bigger.
