I thought CH25 couldn't be top, but then Ch28 with Otto, made it my most favourite. Then, Chapter 31 shared the same spot if not better, while having shorter time of investment to the character, what make it unique. If you wondering how could mihoyo top those, Kevin or HoE might have the answer.
The closer the story gets toward the end the more intense and higher stakes it gets, so its understandable why it keeps getting better as the arc progress. Now the real tear jerker will be dudu and kiana journey to find their dad if Hoyoverse decide to make this its own arc.
@@laminkoma51 They should totally make the arc of sealing the Honkai on the moon that makes APHO happen playable. And I want to see Theresa using Otto's cloning tech to bring the Flame-Chasers back to help out, too. The Honkai will have never seen such a force arrayed against them before.

If they are not in a rush to end the story that is, which from the looks of it everything so far it seems they won’t be rushing and take their time with the story so we will have quite a long way before the story actually ends especially with APHO3 as well.

That's one reason I am in love with Honkai Impact, and have been for the past 4 years. Not all endings are good, and not a villains are just flat out bad. There's depth. There's history to be known about these characters. Herrcher of the Void being a perfect example, Sirin was so far into her pain that she couldn't fathom anything more than destruction, and she didn't deserve it. Thats a other reason this story is so beautiful. Sirin is terrible, but only because she was violated by scientists her whole life. Her best friends murdered in these experiments. It was a tragic tail. If you haven't read the manga, it's a must. One of the most unforgettable attacks from Fu Hua occurs during a fight with one of Sirins pseudo Herrschers and truly shows a fate worse than death.

If Genshin's story had even half the emotion and depth of characters of Honkai impact I'd still be playing. I feel like Genshin's story is such a wasted opportunity considering how great the lore is.

Yea 31 is really bittersweet. Like you know that its sending them off but at the same time you can't stop yourself from cheering for them.
