- In this video we discuss repotting Phalaenopsis Orchids. Of course this won’t apply to ALL orchids, but for the general orchids you'll find at grocery stores and big box stores these methods will work just fine.

This was a great video. I have a small orchid a friend gave me and she's been doing good 😊😊 thanks to your videos I feel more confident to continue my plant journey 😊💚
I absolutely LOVE the amount of information you give in such a short time! LOTS OF INFO HERE! Thanks!
This was the BEST video on orchid care! Thank you! I feel like I just took a class and learned infinitely more than all the other videos combined. I’m curious about combining mediums like bark and moss? I mix my own potting soils and don’t do anything straight from the bag and wondered if that also worked with orchids.
I always thought Orchids were difficult to grow so I would admire them from afar. Such beautiful creations! This February I took the plunge and picked up an exquisite small one and I absolutely adore her! Your video on repotting them and their care is perfection! I’ve been reading a lot of material on Orchids and you covered everything completely and concisely. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience with Orchids! Take care! 👌🪴🥰
Thank you so much, Peggy. I’m glad you’re enjoying your orchid! They’re wonderful plants
Thanks Tanner, this was thorough and very helpful (as usual)!
Great video. So much information my head is gonna explode 🤯. I may just get enough courage to get an orchid tomorrow. You are a good teacher. Thank you
Great video! Thanks ❤️🔥
Wow! Timing is perfect. I am refurbishing my two small Orchids this morning 🌄 This information gives me more confidence. This time I will not kill them. This time will be different. To be continued...
I love this video but I have to say my favorite part is your commentary on the "slap that pot" section. 😂😂
Absolutely love these longer video I appreciate the 9 min videos too but I love these longer videos, could u possibly do a video on exotic orchids I bought one from Trader Joe’s and I’m really plant savvy and it ended up just rotting. I checked the roots for rot and sprayed with hydrogen peroxide to be sure. I also changed his soil but he just decided he was gonna die
love your videos 💞
Wonderful video with loads of useful information. Next time have the camera closer so we can see up close all the action! Thanks
Nice,no fake plants 🌿🌿
Love this content! Can you do a video about euphorbia please!🤩💚🌵
Could you just come visit for a couple of days and show me hands on how to repot my four orchids? I’ll take you out for supper and feed you. I took in a rescue that has real soft floppy leaves. I repotted and spritzing the roots daily hoping they just over watered. One week and no change. So where you can give coffee grounds soaked and filter the water and water the orchid. Just nervous doing that. What do you recommend? Please and thanx!
This was so helpful. Any thoughts on needing to repot because of pests? I recently splurged at an orchid show, and 80% of them have mealy bugs (4 weeks later). Luckily they are isolated from my other plants because they were blooming, but after rinsing with water, mild soap, alcohol swabbing, I do wonder if I should repot them.
Hi there! I’ve never heard of needing to repot because of surface pests. You isolated and resolved so after watching them for any lingering cycles of pests they should be fine…I think 🤗
Sadly they were back yesterday, and I chose violence: the worst plant into the garbage. Breaks my heart.
@@jnbyrne that is so sad! I just got some orchids from a nursery online and they were pristine. I was tired of seeing droopy sad ones around town. - just saw your comment. I can check name of place if you want.
@@UrbanFlowerpot Aww thanks! I'm not buying any more orchids for a long time. The investment of several hundreds $ just to get a mealy infestation ... I'll stick to the ones from the shops.
@@jnbyrne oh my that’s a lot! I have three and that’s it haha I otherwise stick to a handful of low maintenance plants that bring me joy. Best wishes to you 💐
I'm new to the orchid world but I've reported most of them and they're doing fairly well. However, I have one large one that doesn't seem to be having a good time after a recent repotting. I am really keeping an eye on the roots but most of them seem to have died. I'm afraid to repot and spray with Peroxide again. Hoping to see some decent roots before attempting lol
