Most outstanding video, great editing and very straight forward. I was issued a Speed Graphic at Quantico Marine Base, as base photographers 1968, we shot football games and Officers boot camp action shots, moved on to Viet Nam and Nikon Nikon F and Nikonos underwater cameras....never shot a SG again....miss it, fond memories of HI-RES large prints
That's great! Glad to have converted you to the ways of the Speed Graphic. It's so light and easy to use, you'll probably never need (or want) another LF camera. Here's to many years of great results!
My Pacemaker speed graphic is arriving tomorrow, I was looking around at LF cameras and decided to get a speed graphic after watching this video as its feature packed and easy to use as well as being able to use barrel lenses as shown.
I got a Speed Graphic for this very reason, to be able to use barrel lenses without shutter. I have a couple of Vesta and Verito soft focus lenses. My only complain is that the lens can't be tilted forward for scheimpflug effect. But the workaround will hopefully work. Have never tried dropping the bed so far. Aside from the horror film music to demo a camera, I love the video.

Thank you for a very easy instructional video, which makes using older barrels lenses possible when you use the cameras shutter release system.
Probably the only video on the use of the focal plane shutter of a Speed Graphic with petzval and other barrel lenses. Fantastic!

Great video, I just get my speed graphic. Superb 👍👍👍
Very well done video.
Thank you for sharing! Do you mind telling what black and white film as well as developer you prefer and used in that shot example?
Pretty cool.
I have the speed graphic pacemaker. Have you converted any other lenses?
Can you use wet plate in this camera?
Yes, certainly. There are instructions on RUclips on how to convert a standard film holder to a wet plate holder
+GPV Photography thank you.!!
thanks great video ..
