That cow knocking your decoy over and then you putting it back together,then that buck coming in wow that’s what makes hunting so much fun this time of year you never know what going to happen.from a comedy show to a nice buck . Look at the browes on that buck! Awesome encounter. Bet that black deer that came into that decoy woulda been the best tasting deer ya ever had haha. Might of lost your huntn permission there though. Great Video, I love the raw footage you and Jared Mills do. No over dramatic music and just the real deal. keep up the good work young man.
Just a quick tip. You might want to wear disposable gloves when handling decoy and spray down decoy with scent killer. You probably know this but just in case. Good luck!
Another great video Ethan, I was laughing at the calves fascination of the decoy. That's a great look buck with the kickers and splits, he could be a world class buck next year!!
I had a feeling that calf was going to come back and as soon as he put his head into the decoys side and started buttng a little I thought it was probably not going to work well for the decoy I was waiting for the bull to run you up the tree thanks for showing what really happens on a Hunt sometimes. Good luck on that buck he didn't seem too spooked
Oh boy, so funny! I’ve had to deal with cows all too often. One year had 8 calves loose getting in my food plots. I spent practically 2 weeks of my hunting vacation chasing them off day and night. My neighbor which is also my close friend owns all of the property including where my food plots are, so not much I could do. Eventually he and I got together and were able to get them back in with the herd. He then moved them away from the weak fence. Stress level was through the roof for a time though.
Haha I feel you there! I'm just appreciative to the landowner for letting me hunt. Cows are all just part of the struggle of tagging a mature buck! Hoping my time comes soon!
You should be like another individual on RUclips and shoot deer at 86 yards..🙄 may of got him lol Blows my mind that someone out there would have tried to take that shot in your situation.
I like to keep my effective range around 40 yards max for Whitetails. There is so much movement that can happen. This buck was around 35 yards, but he is not a shooter for me this year. Thanks for watching!

I have not had a whole lot of luck getting bucks in close on decoys but my area gets a lot of pressure so that is probably why
I think it’s a combination of pressure, and finding an agressive enough deer that will test the decoy.
