It’s always great to do spray outs before the actual paint job..it’s well worth the time. Keep the info coming Pharraway 🤝
you got that right brother
These spray outs however are not a great example of how to spray a car. These size of things are for air brushing and see how its going to turn out.
Definitely less purple looking, smart to spray out some samples for him so he can choose the color himself, because nothing worse than to have to respray a complete paint job that was already beautiful ! 👍🤞🙏😉✌
Favourite is candy on silver, without flake. Number two is the blue flake. Great video, thanks for showing.
i like them all and i never would have thought the blue flake over black would turn out like that very nice but i like the blue over silver the best
Looks awesome. I would love the blue by itself, no flake. I love the color. Thanks
Pharraway that's a very tough decision, I like them all,the one with the base would go great on a street rod, base with flake looks like a low rider ,and the blue flake is good for both the low rider and a sports bike
Definitely the silver with the Flake👍🏼👍🏼
Fantastic job personal I like the metal flake but the all look great, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
They all have their place on a special ride! For lowrider I would go middle, maybe even add a different size flake. Little flake and big flake sometimes creates more depth when you look at it. At least it looked cool when I did it over black base shooting red candy. Nice job sir! Thanks.
Very cool Pharraway, definitely like the one in the middle with the silver flake
I think the silver base was my favorite, the flake was very cool though
I like the first one silver base over candy
I love me some Tamco and I have that intercoat clear 895 is the number. I like the 4100 glamour clear as well
You did some beautiful work keep up the good work 👏
3rd one on the right is my favorite
Amazing how different they are and all very beautiful, but for me I particularly like the one on the right dude 👍
The 3rd one looks realy nice but that middle one is looks awesome the flake realy makes the candy 💃 love your work brother looking forward to see the customers answer, definitely no purple there that I can see this time bro very nice choice
You always make the best video’s thank you for sharing God Bless
I've only used candy once and it said on the tin to mix it 2:1 with reducer no activator needed 🤔 they all look great Pharraway but I prefer the one with the blue flake over the black 🙏👍 John UK.
The one on right look awesome
Awesome job thanks for the information.
Damn, I like them all.
Look good 👌
Black one,for me 😊🇬🇧👍🏻
Wonderful ✨
Saludos amigo no me pierdo tus videos
Gracias amigo
Candy blue over silver flake looks best to me, but I'm old school anyway!
Nice
The one on the left for me
Silver base, no flake
Silver base#3
Pharraway I like them all. I suppose if it's to be a lowrider the middle one with the flake silver would have to be the choice it is popping... Although the one with the black base looks almost the same on the screen. Which did you like best? Most importantly which is the owners choice? Thanks for the video and bringing us along. Phillip Hall
well the middle looks best for me
#3 👍
silver one wit no flakes
Tienes video explicando en Español esta clase de pintura ? Te felicito y gracias por tu tiempo

Saludos amigo
i love the 1st one not a fan of the metal flakes
Middle. So which should I use? Premixed or concentrate? Why choose one over the other?
Concentrate is more vibrent then premixed
Don't know if this was asked already but what's the life of candy concentrate mixed verses a already mixed candy from the manufacturer? For a full paint job?
it will give you a life of 5 to 8yr if taken care of
@@PHARRAWAY thank you brother with this and a x88 I should be able to get my backyard boogie on with my 79 el camino
If I’m changing the color on a current paint job . Looking to go candy. Can I go straight from sanding it down to black base coat or do I need a primer then the black base coat?
its best to apply sealer
@@PHARRAWAY thank you
Are you still going to do a review of the Devilbiss FLG5?
Yes I will soon
why did you put the hardener in with the candy mix, Were those your final coats ( no 2k Clearcoat ) just for those examples? do you usually make the candy intercoat 1k & 2k clear coat?
It's reducer not harder
Do you have to spray the flakes on the base before the candy? Can you mix it in with the top coat clear instead?
did you just mix an entire kit of kandy to do 3 spray out plastics?????
No just a bit
wait one second! isn’t tamco candy colors supposed to be sprayed differently? meaning that you don’t need to have a metallic silver under the candy like every other candy put there? it’s in tamco’s website that the candy they sell can be applied under black, white or gray primer or basecoat & eliminate the silver metallic all together. it’s the only reason i went with tamco candies lol everything else is applied the same for a candy. or does tamco sell another product line. good looking candies though.
They sell different candy types, they do sell one that you don't need silver base but also this kind
I want to know what gun you use to apply the color and also what your pressures were and did you switch to a 1.3 tip?
1.3 tip
Appreciate you doing this. Can I use a blue pearl mixed in clear to get similar results if I dont have any candy?
yes you can
Yes, you can. However, the caveat here is that to get the full effect of the candy or indeed any candy paint. There needs to be transparency by way of the base coat. By applying the pearl base, you will mute the see through affect of the candy from a true tinted clear ink dye in a clear coat carrier or intercoat. Try and see the outcome. In custom painting, there are Never any short cuts. Be very careful!!!
@@niamakhtar2234 it was just practice on speaker grilles that I flaked and then sprayed the pearl over it mixed in clear. It came out ok. Only did it that way because I didn't have any candy atm, no shortcuts taken.
is there any difference between using a candy carrier vs using an intercoat clear. and with the intercoat clear would you use hardner or would you use reducer?
no difference it's just preference but on the intercoat you don't use hardner just reducer
@@PHARRAWAY thank you
I will never spray metal flake again in my life. After 2-3 times spraying this my garage, spray booth has never been clear of flake again. My garage is my mixing station and all the flakes walked into my garage when coming out the booth. The gun used for flakes has ended up on the bottom of the trashcan, was impossible to get every flake out of it. I have hated flakes or glitter all my life, even my little nieces where thought young never to play with glitter in my house. How do you live with it? 😅
I hear you it's bad the only thing I do is after finishing is to pressure wash everything
@@PHARRAWAY and what about your clothes/suit/shoes? There are flakes stuck in my wooden living room floor 🤬
Bro what kind of clear are you going to apply whit that paint??
Grant 7 clear
Which digital gauge are you using on the r160?
It's from iwata
@@PHARRAWAY thanks man. Never seen this one and it just fits perfectly?
Can you use clear coat as a candy carrier
Yes you can
@@PHARRAWAY thanks
Do you have one like this with a bright red like Nissan Skyline r34 in active red. Please
No sorry
If you don't show it off in NATURAL SUNLIGHT, the video is WORTHLESS. Fact 💯
