Holy shit I'm playing Balatro with no music so I can listen to this video and when the Balatro music in the video came on I though I was going insane (I am so baked right now)
This one felt like watching software being creating, and I love it... Sr: Your task is to automate space science Jr: No problem, only 3 ingredients, that shouldn't take long. ... Sr: How's it going? Jr: Good, I'm smelting iron and steel for space platforms. Sr: Where's the space science? ... Nvm... *deletes 80% of infrastructure and drops down 1 assembler for space science*
Both the Space Platform Hub and the Cargo Lading Pad have "Request" pages, similar to your inventory, those work for the "space network", Rockets will pull from the logistics network if the setting is active. Rockets will also only launch automatically if the "rocket stack" is full, you can see the number for each item in the tooltip, you can also change that number in automatic requests. You don't need power poles in space platforms, the ground is powered
dont need power poles in space, fyi make sure to bring turrets and make yellow ammo if you wanna travel ANYWHERE :D try to make them independent on planet materials since asteroids are free materials ALSO YOU CAN THROW MATERIALS INTO SPACE TO VOID THEM, YOU'D PROBABLY WANT TO EITHER WIRE THE INSERTERS TO THE STORAGE OR MAKE A LOOPED BELT AND READ THE WHOLE BELT AND SET A LIMIT WHERE THE INSERTERS THROW ONLY THE ITEM THAT IS OVER THE LIMIT (like 200 or 300 of each asteroid, depending on the size of the looped belt, if you want to save weight and space you can use the storage and even make more storage to make it into a shaped chest basically..)
Everybody starting to piece together space ships needs to embark on a learning curve, they will not understand what you say untill they engage in the gross loss of resources and time they invested.
You can find a lot of information about both space, rocket logistics, and other planets once you get to them in the "tips and tricks" menu, found in the top right above the map.
Sending up built platform takes less rocket space if you also have to ship up steel, since the steel for one load of platforms (1000) is much larger than one load of steel (400)
Spoilers for the space stuff You can request stuff from orbit by using a cargo landing pad and if you click the auto request on the rocket silo bots will deliver anything the space platform needs to the rocket you can also request stuff works just like personal logistic
Ngl I can't fathom considering knowing how the mechanics work spoilers, like please read the factoriopedia and tips and tricks to see how the space logistics works, parts of this video border on ragebait (which I am falling for)

Space age spoiler:
I wonder when they're going to realise the space platform can be built remotely from anywhere.
Also spoiler:
I wonder which planet they go for first. Gleba would be a VERY bad choice.
My bet is on them finishing the game before they notice
I'm just waiting till they realize that everything on a space platform is automatically powered so they don't need substations
This is a podcast for me as I play the game

The copper needle project was for communication not area denial
Either way sounds like everybody loses in that situation

seeing the power lines in space made me go wtf...power is provided from teh foundations... the tool tip even says to..
Dont be afraid of spaghetti, do be afraid of redundancy.
These videos give me LIFE
thanks for the videos sauceman the goober squad can beat space age I know it

They are doing things so inefficiently it hurts to watch
This series is not 1 pro player with some noobs. They are all noobs. As I'm typing this, he's trying to put rails into electric furnace assembler.

project west ford released several hundred million copper di-pole needles into space
Hell Yeah!

I like that you guys are doing a multiplayer. But for havign 1k hours you don't seem to have blueprints and your main bus is all spag -get
More memes and car crashes plz

Sauceman, we be in space!!! where is a new intro?!
Ngl, I really loved the new intros every now and again from the SEK2 series. Seriously a fantastic touch.
YOU DONT NEED PYLONS ON THE SPACE PLATFORM IT WAS IN THE FFF FOR FUK SAKE GUYS
I love your content tho but bro you gotta read the tutorials and hints and flavor texts
:D
