You are a prolific stitcher Gerald. I always find it interesting what the guys are stitching. I love your planets...just beautiful. I am more of a sampler gal myself with a little Lizzie Kate thrown in for fun. After being a one project stitcher for 30 something years I am now working on a rotation of six WIPS. I find I do not get bored with my stitching now thanks to Floss tube. I have a little grandson who is autistic...he is five and non verbal but we live in hope that one day he will start to talk. Thank your for your dedication to special needs children.

Hi Arlene, Thanks for watching and thank you for the support of my career. From what I have found with non-verbal students, is stay positive, keep speaking and modeling, and maybe one day he will use his voice. But, if he doesn't, don't let that discourage you! There are many ways through communication systems and devices that he may be able to utilize to speak.

Thanks Gerald...that really helps! He is doing Geminni along with speech therapy. His therapist told his mom that he sees speech as a Last Option.:) He is an amazing little guy who can do puzzles like nobody's business. I am looking forward to more of your videos!

Welcome to Flosstube, Gerald. I can't believe how much stitching you've done in only FOUR MONTHS!!! Those planets are amazing - I'm a huge astronomy freak. I've considered doing those myself but the black aida puts me off. However, now I've seen them stitched up I might think again! Can't wait to see the others done too.

I loved the video, it's so nice to see more male stitchers! My Dad was taught lots of needlework skills when he was young by his grandmother, great aunt and mother. These same skilled women started my love of fiber arts when they taught me to knit at age 5 and I have been happily indulging in many forms since then. Now I mostly cross stitch with some sewing and knitting as well. I love your taste in fabrics, you've chosen some beautiful colors and I can't wait to watch your progress as you use them. You've managed to get quite a lot of stitching done in just a few short months so congratulations on that, hope you show your map in your Dec. video. I have worked with children for over 30 years and most of that time has been with children with various disabilities in development. I have worked with autistic spectrum children and their families since my first job right out of university in 1974 so you can tell I'm no spring chicken. I'm retired now and look after my grandchildren most weekdays, I feel blessed to be able to help raise them. My grandson who is 3 is being assessed for spectrum disorder and because he was not developing language skills we are currently working with a progress center and speech therapists with a lot of success . He has started talking using 1 or two words and that has improved his frustration immensely . I don't make videos, mostly because I just don't have enough content to be of interest but I love floss tube, watch lots of you all and comment often. I am on Instagram as. carolyndawn60 If you'd like to see what I get up to. Happy stitching! 🙋🏼🤗🇨🇦

What beautiful pieces you have! I'm so impressed that you've only been stitching since July and are working on such intricate pieces. I love "Reflections of New York." I have the Paris chart all kitted up for next year, on the same fabric as yours! lol. but I'll stitch it with Classic Colourworks Belle Soie threads (elegant eggplant). I'm a bit nervous because in my 30+ years of stitching, I've never worked on a piece like that. can't wait to see how your maps piece looks all framed up! looking forward to your next video.

Wow! Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing them with us. Can't wait to see more from you. The Rosewood manor piece gets taken to another level on the fabric you've chosen.

That's amazing! How can you have finished all those since July? They look beautiful. (Hint: place paper or something behind them when holding them up, they show out better). Your planets and crowns are amazing.

Hi Gerald! Happy to see you here, as I've indicated to you before on your IG pics I adore your perfect stitching and am SHOCKED that you just started stitching.... my word...you have taken to it like a duck to water! Welcome!

I am honored that you think i have perfect stitching. While I am flattered, I don't think anybody is ever perfect and life is made to strive for perfection. I love watching your videos and think that your stitching is much closer to perfection than mine. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Hi Lisa, thanks for watching and it is exciting to finally meet some close by stitchers. It would be awesome to find a local stitching retreat, or maybe start one, or find a group of people that would like to get together to stitch.

We are kindred spirits! I am an SLP who works with Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled high school students. I love Downton Abby.....and I just loved your flosstube! I am totally jealous that you are such a quick stitcher! You have gotten a lot done in a short time!
